Loose Change

Loose Change is a series of films released between 2005 and 2009 which argue in favor of certain conspiracy theories relating to the September 11th attacks. The films were written and directed by Dylan Avery and produced by Korey Rowe, Jason Bermas and Matthew Brown.

The original 2005 film was edited and re-released as Loose Change: 2nd Edition (2006), and then subsequently edited a third time for the 2nd Edition Recut (2007). Loose Change: Final Cut, deemed "the third and final release of this documentary series" was released on DVD and Web-streaming format on November 11, 2007.

Another version of the film, Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup, released on September 22, 2009, is narrated by Daniel Sunjata and distributed by Microcinema International.

Coverage of the film increased in 2006 with the recut release having airings on U.S. and European television stations and over 4 million views online in four months, leading Vanity Fair to say it could be the first internet blockbuster.Loose Change asserts that the usual account of the Pentagon attack, World Trade Center collapse and United 93 phone calls and crash is implausible and instead suggests the 9/11 attacks were a false flag operation. The film's main claims have been debated by journalists, independent researchers, and prominent members of the scientific and engineering community.

Dylan Avery

Dylan Avery (born November 1, 1983) is an American filmmaker and the creator of the Loose Change films.

Career

After discovering Paul Thompson's Terror Timeline in mid-2002, Avery began writing the screenplay for a thriller in which a group of friends discovers a government cover-up of the September 11, 2001 attacks. After having been denied admission twice by Purchase College film school and realizing that creating a full-budget feature was not feasible for an 18-year-old director, he decided instead to make a documentary. This gave rise to the Loose Change series.

In April 2008, he moved from Oneonta to San Diego, California.

The final film in the series, Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup, became available on September 22, 2009. It is narrated by Daniel Sunjata and produced by Korey Rowe of Oneonta, New York.

In November 2009, he filmed a music video for The Almighty Terribles' song "Dream of Dreams" on location at the abandoned Lambertville High School in Lambertville, NJ.

In 2010, Avery worked with teacher and musician Wes Davis to create Buzzkill, a film about a 21-day project to stop drinking coffee and caffeine products. It is available on YouTube.

Diss track

A diss track or diss song is a song primarily intended to disrespect a person or group. While musical parodies and attacks have always existed, the trend became increasingly common in the hip hop genre fueled by the hip hop rivalry phenomenon.

History

One of the earliest examples of a diss track was "You Keep Her" (1962) by Joe Tex. He wrote the song after his wife left him for famous soul singer James Brown, then broke up again and wrote Tex a letter he could have her back. Tex refused and ridiculed this offer in his song.

Another example of a diss track occurred in Jamaica. After Lee "Scratch" Perry left producer Coxsone Dodd he released a track called "Run for Cover" (1967) poking a joke at him. Perry in particular has a long history of releasing diss tracks directed at former musical collaborators. The musical single "People Funny Boy" (1968) attacked his former boss Joe Gibbs by adding sounds of a crying baby into the mix. In response Gibbs himself released a track called "People Grudgeful" (1968). Perry's "Evil Tongues" (1978) was aimed at The Congos and “Judgement Inna Babylon” (1984) and "Satan Kicked the Bucket" (1988) at Chris Blackwell. Perry also attacked Michael Jackson (with whom he never worked together) on the track "Freaky Michael" (2010).

Silviu Prigoană

Silviu Vasile Prigoană (born December 22, 1963) is a Romanian businessman and politician, member of the Democratic Liberal Party.

He owns 60% of Rosal, a waste collection company which services Bucharest's Sector 3, Cluj-Napoca, Suceava and Baia Mare.

In December 2008 he became a Member of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania.

Apart from his waste collection company, Prigoană is known for founding the first Romanian news television, Realitatea TV, the first sports channel based in Romania, TV Sport (later sold to Central European Media Enterprises, becoming Sport.ro), and two other music channels: the first with emphasis on Romanian traditional music, Etno TV, and the other known for promoting Manele music, Taraf TV.

He is married to Adriana Bahmuţeanu with whom he had a tumultuous relationship that culminated with their fourth marriage in May 2009. The couple have two children together, along with two boys from his first marriage, Honorius-Adrian and Silvius.
