The Airbus A320 family consists of short- to medium-range, narrow-body, commercial passenger twin-engine jet airliners manufactured by Airbus. The family includes the A318, A319, A320 and A321, as well as the ACJ business jet. The A320s are also named A320ceo (current engine option) after the introduction of the A320neo. Final assembly of the family takes place in Toulouse, France, and Hamburg, Germany; a plant in Tianjin, China, has also been producing aircraft for Chinese airlines since 2009. Construction of a new production facility in Mobile, Alabama began in 2013. The aircraft family can accommodate up to 220 passengers and has a range of 3,100 to 12,000 km (1,700 to 6,500 nmi), depending on model.
The first member of the A320 family—the A320—was launched in March 1984, first flew on 22 February 1987, and was first delivered in March 1988. The family was soon extended to include the A321 (first delivered 1994), the A319 (1996), and the A318 (2003). The A320 family pioneered the use of digital fly-by-wire flight control systems, as well as side-stick controls, in commercial aircraft. There has been a continuous improvement process since introduction.
Gatwick Airport(IATA: LGW, ICAO: EGKK) is 2.7 nautical miles (5.0 km; 3.1 mi) north of the centre of Crawley,West Sussex, and 29.5 miles (47.5 km) south of Central London. Also known as London Gatwick, it is London's second-largest international airport and the second-busiest (by total passenger traffic) in the United Kingdom (after Heathrow). Gatwick is Europe's leading airport for point-to-point flights and has the world's busiest single-use runway, with a maximum of 55 aircraft movements per hour. Its two terminals (North and South) cover an area of 98,000 m2 (1,050,000 sq ft) and 160,000 m2 (1,700,000 sq ft), respectively. In 2015, 40.3 million passengers passed through the airport, a 5.6 per cent increase compared with 2014.
From 1978 to 2008, many flights to and from the United States used Gatwick because of restrictions on the use of Heathrow implemented in the Bermuda II agreement between the UK and the US.US Airways, Gatwick's last remaining US carrier, ended service from Gatwick on 30 March 2013. This leaves Gatwick without a scheduled US airline for the first time in over 35 years. The airport is a base for scheduled airlines British Airways (BA), EasyJet, Monarch Airlines, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Virgin Atlantic and charter operators such as Thomas Cook Airlines and Thomson Airways. Gatwick is unique amongst London's airports in its representation of the three main airline business models: full service, low-/no frills and charter. As of April 2015, these respectively accounted for 30 percent, 64 percent and 6 percent of Gatwick's seat capacity.
A flight number, when combined with the name of the airline and the date, identifies a particular flight. This callsign should not be confused with the tail number of the aircraft, although both can be used as a call-sign as used in general aviation. A particular aircraft may fly several different flights in one day, and different aircraft may be used for the same flight number on successive days.
A number of conventions have been developed for defining flight numbers, although these vary widely from airline to airline. Eastbound and northbound flights are traditionally assigned even numbers, while westbound and southbound flights have odd numbers. Other airlines will use an odd number for an outbound flight and use the next even number for the reverse inbound flight. For destinations served by multiple flights per day, numbers tend to increase during the day. Hence, a flight from point A to point B might be flight 101 and the return flight from B to A would be 102, while the next pair of flights on the same route would usually be assigned codes 103 and 104.
Flight is the process by which an object moves, through an atmosphere (the air in the case of earth) or beyond it (as in the case of spaceflight) without direct support from any surface. This can be achieved by generating aerodynamic lift, propulsive thrust, aerostatically using buoyancy, or by ballistic movement.
Many things fly, from natural aviators such as birds, bats and insects to human inventions such as missiles, aircraft such as airplanes, helicopters and balloons, to rockets such as spacecraft.
The engineering aspects of flight are studied in aerospace engineering which is subdivided into aeronautics, the study of vehicles that travel through the air, and astronautics, the study of vehicles that travel through space, and in ballistics, the study of the flight of projectiles.
Humans have managed to construct lighter than air vehicles that raise off the ground and fly, due to their buoyancy in air.
An aerostat is a system that remains aloft primarily through the use of buoyancy to give an aircraft the same overall density as air. Aerostats include free balloons, airships, and moored balloons. An aerostat's main structural component is its envelope, a lightweight skin containing a lifting gas to provide buoyancy, to which other components are attached.

This video is property of Train_PlaneHub, "RachaelMatt" 1080p HD! Another short hop on an EasyJet Airbus A319. This time a domestic route from Inverness in the Scottish Highlands down to Bristol in the West Country. Flight was actually very busy to my surprise, unfortunately lots of kids onboard, so apologies for all the background noise. The flight was delayed by about an hour and fifteen minutes due to an earlier medical emergency onboard at Geneva, you can hear the pilot explain this shortly after I'd boarded. Once airborne and above the cloud layer unfortunately not all that much to see through the overcast skies until nearer Bristol and start of descent. Once on the way down some nice views of Hereford and the River Severn followed by some great views over Bristol and the surround...

*This video is property of "RachaelMatt" Train_PlaneHub, do NOT re-upload this footage!* 1080p HD! Onboard the second EasyJet flight of the day, this one taking me back home to London. This flight was much busier than my outbound flight, presumably due to it being a better time. So it was full of rowdy holiday makers and skiers returning home. (So apologies for the noisy people sat around me!) A great flight none the less, we were airborne ahead of scheduled which resulted in arriving almost 25 mins early! Great views after departure of the beautiful snow covered Alps! Then a stunning sunset to greet us with during the approach & landing at Gatwick! *This video belongs to Train_PlaneHub, "rachaelMatt" and must not be illegally re-uploaded!* 1080p HD! The return flight back across the English channel to London after a day out in the Belguim capital Brussels. Flight was busier than my outbound, but still a fair few empty seats about, so had a little bit more room and space. Wasn't impressed with the security at Brussels airport which you go through once you've been assigned your gate. With only 2 security scanners being used we were waiting for almost 40mins, which resulted in our slightly delayed push back. So Brussels airport itself really wasn't good. But other than that a good flight, clear skies the entire route meant some great views of the English channels coastline. FLIGHT DETAILS: Aircraft: Airbus A319-111 Reg.: G-EZEZ Se...
*This video is property of "RachaelMatt" Train_PlaneHub, do NOT re-upload this footage!* 1080p HD! Onboard another EasyJet flight on another European adventure, this time to Belgium's capital Brussels. Another early start but a fairly quiet flight with just 95 passengers onboard meant that I had lots of free seats and room to move about. An absolutely perfect day to fly on, with temperatures in the late 20's for both Brussels & London during the afternoon and not a cloud in the sky for the short duration of the flight meaning some incredible coastal views of the UK, France & Belgium! Not to mention some nice shots of Gatwick itself after take off and Brussels airport during our approach. Nice catch of the Finnair A340 at Brussels which arrived right behind us too. Was also nice to be o...
*This video is property of "RachaelMatt" Train_PlaneHub, do NOT re-upload this footage!* 1080p HD! Onboard another EasyJet adventure, this time only domestic, on one of only a handful summer specials between Liverpool and Newquay. The flight busier than I was expecting with 117 passengers onboard. A lovely day for flying, pretty much clear skies the entire journey. Slightly delayed departure from Liverpool due to the aircraft getting held up at Amsterdam on its previous flight, you can hear the captain explain that. Nice views over central Wales and the west country before starting our descent down the west of Devon & Cornwall and turning over the Atlantic for arrival on RWY12 at Newquay, St. Mawgan airport, which meant some beautiful beach views during our last few moments in the air! ...
This video is property of Train_PlaneHub, "RachaelMatt" 1080p HD! Onboard yet another low cost EasyJet flight from Gatwick, this time to Germany and the beautiful city of Hamburg! Another early start and a grey dull morning at Gatwick. Pilot informed us that there may be some waiting time for departure due to ATC restrictions as the winds were increasing. Not only the winds picking up but as we were pushing back I noticed that the rain had become snow and it was actually snowing during our departure which was quite interesting. Very thick cloud so not a lot to see after departure almost right up until reaching cruising height over the North sea! Similar weather in Hamburg, very low grey dull skies just without the falling snow. But over all another great flight with EasyJet, no complai...
This video is property of Train_PlaneHub, "RachaelMatt" 1080p HD! Gibraltar is one place I've wanted to visit for quite some time now and I finally got round to it. It is notorious for being one of the most dangerous airports in the world and one of the most unique runways. The airport is over shadowed by the famous Gibraltar rock, standing tall at just over 1300ft! The rock can cause some very strong downward drafts and has been known to create severe wake turbulence because the wind is forced around the rock or over the top of it. This also leads to frequent low cloud coverage as the clouds are forced over the top of the rock and then sink down the hillside towards the airport & town. Not only all of this but it's the only airport to have a main road which crosses the runway! Pedestri...
This video is property of Train_PlaneHub, "RachaelMatt" 1080p HD! On-board another smooth flight with EasyJet this time from London Gatwick airport for a brisk hop down to Madrid Barajas. Absolutely full flight, every seat taken according to the crew! A beautiful day for flying at both ends, clear skies in Gatwick which means some great views over the south coast. Also some beautiful shots over Northern Spain and the Bay Of Biscay coastline. Came down with a bit of a thud onto RWY33L at Madrid but just over 10mins ahead of scheduled. Over all a nice "easy" flight with EasyJet. Shame about the extremely dusty window I had, the dust was inbetween the layers of plastic so couldn't be cleaned. For the arrival I managed to film from the window slightly in front and tilt the camera back so it...

Its not the fear of seeing new days, but it's the fear of seeing your eyes
Full of august promises and september curses
And helping your hands with wayward stabbings
Flick throw these matches I'll ignite and rise
To dress you in flames and reel around your ashes
In cowardice speak her name tear this writing from this page
And watch me claim this crime
