So, im currently preparing for a live gig, a fund raiser charity event together with my friends here in KL 23/8... I took the opportunity to record when im jamming/prepping with my new Roland TB-3, sort of making it the focal bassline in this track. Man its really hard to blend the basslines together with the Volca bass, not using a EQ on either one of the bass synths, haha. :)
Not much to say about this one, its 126 bpm, techno style, 4 on the floor with some classic BURG vibes :-) As always, LIVE and no multitracking or computers involved.. pure hardware straight into 2-track (zoom Q4) BoOoM!

Yeah, i bought this new fisheye lens for one of my cams... My new studio room is really small and I want to get the entire studio and all instruments from one angle. Been a bit bummed about this before but this lens really seems to do the trick. Its a samyang 7.5mm f/3.5 for the u4/3 format.
More new stuff on this one, also got my SQ-1 sequencer, on this track i use it with the ms.20 (surprise) :)
As always, no multitracking.. all is live, no computers, you know the game by now. Straight into 2-track on my Zoom Q4 recorder.

Ritter spielten im Mittelalter eine wichtige Rolle in der Gesellschaft. Sie waren Krieger, die sich in den Dienst von Adeligen stellten. Dafür bekamen sie Land zur Verfügung, welches von Bauern bewirtschaftet wurde. Die Bauern lieferten an ihren Herrn Nahrungsmittel ab und genossen im Gegenzug dessen Schutz.
In szenischen Rekonstruktionen schildert die Sendung das Leben auf einer Ritterburg, erklärt ihren Aufbau und die Funktion der verschiedenen Räumlichkeiten. Die Burg war ein militärischer Stützpunkt, Verteidigung und Kampf spielten eine große Rolle. Die Söhne der Burgbesitzer wurden auf Nachbarburgen zu Rittern ausgebildet, bewiesen ihr kämpferisches Können in Turnieren und setzten es in Kriegen ein. Als die Waffen größer und stärker wurden, konnten Burgen den Angriffen der Feinde immer weniger standhalten und wurden zunehmend zerstört.

This is from the rehearsal for a gig on the 14th of march in Kuala Lumpur ...some variations of a simple theme that was used.
Was appx 30-45 minutes long.. these are just the main parts. or variations of the same, On the gig a second key drop was used to make is a bit more interesting after 20mins... so FYI this was not really complete or final edit in any way.
Strictly no multitracking, all is live.. instrument are just what you see in the clips.

So, something strange just happened... I connected one of my guitars to the setup and it got all psychedelic. BURG goes ... weird? Yeah, I know I cant stop playing (18 minutes, really?) Haha, whatever, I had some great fun, I really hope you like it! :)

Jam Live session at the great synthfest that took place this weekend in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Loads of syntheads and gear maniacs gathered for fun times, plus some geeky music live sessions :)
The track is very laid back, working around just one chord.. I stumbled a couple of times on this set due to minimal preparation and no rehearsals (plus some really crappy playing at times).. but still it was great fun, hope you can enjoy it!

So, im currently preparing for a live gig, a fund raiser charity event together with my friends here in KL 23/8... I took the opportunity to record when im jamming/prepping with my new Roland TB-3, sort of making it the focal bassline in this track. Man its really hard to blend the basslines together with the Volca bass, not using a EQ on either one of the bass synths, haha. :)
Not much to say about this one, its 126 bpm, techno style, 4 on the floor with some classic BURG vibes :-) As always, LIVE and no multitracking or computers involved.. pure hardware straight into 2-track (zoom Q4) BoOoM!

Yeah, i bought this new fisheye lens for one of my cams... My new studio room is really small and I want to get the entire studio and all instruments from one angle. Been a bit bummed about this before but this lens really seems to do the trick. Its a samyang 7.5mm f/3.5 for the u4/3 format.
More new stuff on this one, also got my SQ-1 sequencer, on this track i use it with the ms.20 (surprise) :)
As always, no multitracking.. all is live, no computers, you know the game by now. Straight into 2-track on my Zoom Q4 recorder.

Instruments: KORG ms-20, SQ-1, Arturia Microbrute, Roland Aira System-1, TR-8, Elektron Analog Four, KORG volca bass x 2, volca keys, volca sample - FYI, my microgranny sd micro card got bust!?? so no bastl on this one.. need to get a new one. :-/

Dafür bekamen sie Land zur Verfügung, welches von Bauern bewirtschaftet wurde. Die Bauern lieferten an ihren Herrn Nahrungsmittel ab und genossen im Gegenzug dessen Schutz.
In szenischen Rekonstruktionen schildert die Sendung das Leben auf einer Ritterburg, erklärt ihren Aufbau und die Funktion der verschiedenen Räumlichkeiten. Die Burg war ein militärischer Stützpunkt, Verteidigung und Kampf spielten eine große Rolle. Die Söhne der Burgbesitzer wurden auf Nachbarburgen zu Rittern ausgebildet, bewiesen ihr kämpferisches Können in Turnieren und setzten es in Kriegen ein. Als die Waffen größer und stärker wurden, konnten Burgen den Angriffen der Feinde immer weniger standhalten und wurden zunehmend zerstört.
