If you are thinking about moving to/living in Richmond VA this is the video for you! We will show you the 6 BEST areas to live in around Richmond Virginia. You will get to see all of the commercial "bubbles" surrounding these 6 best areas, and we will provide you with a ton of information about the housing and neighborhoods within them too. Short Pump, Glen Allen, Midlothian, Moseley, Mechanicsville and the city of Richmond are all covered in this single video. If you are unfamiliar with Richmond and the surrounding areas, we assure you that after watching this you will have a much better understanding and knowledge of the areas. We also highly recommend to watch our video titled "5 Steps To Take When Relocating To Richmond VA" as that one will give you steps to take to help you determine where you will find homes that you like within all of these areas mentioned in THIS video. We first start with the Short Pump area which is a suburb further west from the city of Richmond. Short Pump's commercial bubble is our absolute favorite with anything and everything you could ever need or want located along a 3 mile stretch of West Broad St. Because of the proximity to amazing amenities the housing market in Short Pump is more expensive dollar to dollar than the other suburbs. Next we take you to the Midlothian area which is just south of the River along the western side. Midlothian is very comparable to Short Pump and it's commercial bubble is a very close 2nd in our opinion. On average the price per sqft in Midlothian is 8% cheaper than that of the Short Pump area so you get a little more bang for your buck. After that we show you the Moseley area which is a little further southwest of Midlothian. This area has it's own commercial bubble situated along route 360 (Hull St), which is also shared with the southern Midlothian area. Your money goes the furthest here regarding homes and prices, plus you can find much newer construction options since the Moseley area is the most recently developed area around Richmond. Glen Allen is located north of Short Pump and covers a large geographic area west to east. The western Glen Allen area has great proximity to the Short Pump bubble and also has highly rated schools which is why homes cost more compared to the east side. Mechanicsville is the value play for suburbs north of the river. The reason for that is because the commercial amenities are bit more scattered about and not quite as commercially dense as the other suburbs. That said everything you need for daily living is still close by, and your money goes very far here. The are some beautiful neighborhoods in Mechanicsville that we show you and we are sure you will like. Lastly we finish in the City of Richmond and we are currently working on a video dedicated specifically to the city because there is so much to go over. The are 14 different zip codes that make up the city each with their own unique style and flavor. The city is very expensive in terms of what you get for your money. The average price per sqft is the highest of any area covered in this video and the homes are the oldest, but if you are looking for walkability or historic homes with charm and character the city is the place to look!
