Stealing Time

Stealing Time is a 2001 drama involving the uniting of four friends reuniting a year after college, each of them now dealing with their own problems. They ultimately come up with a solution: rob a bank.

Plot summary

The movie starts off with a voice over by Alec of events later in the movie, asking "Why do we make the decisions we make?" It then cuts to a year before, when the main characters are still at college in Eugene, Oregon. Alec's in the Administration and Records Office at his college where he argues with a clerk about a credit that is apparently missing from his transcript. Despite the fact that he is clearly one credit short of graduating, after four hours Alec convinces the college that he indeed has the credit and is set to graduate. The four of them have to move out of their apartment and proceed to work book buy back day, an event at college that lets students buy and sell used textbooks. The movie shows them repeatedly stealing some of the books and then selling them back to the book buyer in a smooth and elegant manner, as though they have done this many times. They also visit their favorite bar, Rennie's Landing, one last time. Casey asks Sam at one point why nothing has ever happened between the two of them, but she brushes him off and just tells him "don't."

Sied van Riel

Sied van Riel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈsit fɑn ˈril]) is a Dutch trance music DJ and producer originally from Rotterdam but currently residing in Spijkenisse, Netherlands. He came into the scene in the year of 2006 with the production of his first track, "Fearless" and the following year was signed to the known label Spinnin Records. He also has a one-hour weekly radio show called Rielism that airs on Afterhours.fm every Monday.

Performing

When not in the studio working on new mixes, Sied van Riel maintains an extensive international touring schedule. At the end of 2008 won "Best New Face" award for the 2008 Trance Awards. Sied supports the Dance4Life initiative and became an ambassador for them.

DJ Rankings

In October 2009, as in every other year the results of different polls held to rank top DJs came out. In the Trance Addict poll, Sied van Riel was ranked #41 jumping 40 spots from the previous year. In the famous DJ Mag Top 100, Sied entered for the first time the top 100 ranking #85.

Aly & Fila

Aly & Fila are an Egyptian trance music duo made up of Aly Amr Fathalah (a.k.a. Aly) and Fadi Wassef Naguib (a.k.a. Fila). They host an Internet radio show called Future Sound of Egypt (every Monday at 4PM US Eastern / 9PM UK / 22:00 Central European Time on Digitally Imported radio). In 2011, their track "We Control The Sunlight", which featured Jwaydan Moyine was chosen as "Tune of the Year" on Armin Van Buuren's show A State of Trance.

History

Aly Amr Fathalah (Aly) and Fadi Wassef Naguib (Fila), the Egyptian duo, were both born in 1981 and have known each other since kindergarten. After falling in love with the music of Paul Van Dyk, The Thrillseekers and Chicane they built their first small studio and started doing electronic music and DJing from 1999. Once they established themselves in Egypt, they decided to go international signing with the German record label Euphonic Records in 2002. Their first release, "Eye of Horus," received huge airplay from the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, DJ Tiësto and many others. The track was licensed to Fundamental Recordings in the Netherlands and reached number 4 position in the Dutch Dance charts.
