A column or pillar in architecture and structural engineering is a structural element that transmits, through compression, the weight of the structure above to other structural elements below. In other words, a column is a compression member. The term column applies especially to a large round support (the shaft of the column) with a capital and a base or pedestal and made of stone, or appearing to be so. A small wooden or metal support is typically called a post, and supports with a rectangular or other non-round section are usually called piers. For the purpose of wind or earthquake engineering, columns may be designed to resist lateral forces. Other compression members are often termed "columns" because of the similar stress conditions. Columns are frequently used to support beams or arches on which the upper parts of walls or ceilings rest. In architecture, "column" refers to such a structural element that also has certain proportional and decorative features. A column might also be a decorative element not needed for structural purposes; many columns are "engaged", that is to say form part of a wall.

Plot: Based on true stories, "La Riña" highlights the polemic of bare knuckle fights in a playboy party where drugs and drinks are served on silver trays. The plot consists of a secret party thrown by ex-students from the American school who bet fortunes in poor wrestlers confronting each other inside an empty swimming pool for a few dollars. Instead of showing typical poverty in Brazil, "La Riña" unveils the opposite by unmasking a luxurious and sick elite in São Paulo.

"frontline" by: pillar lyrics:It's not like I'm walking alone into the valley of the shadow of death Stand beside one another, 'cause it ain't over yet I'd be willing to bet that if we don't back down You and I will be the ones that are holding the Crown in the end When it's over, we can say, "Well done" But not yet, 'cause it's only begun So, pick up, and follow me, we're the only ones To fight this thing, until we've won We drive on and don't look back It doesn't mean we can't learn from our past All the things that we mighta done wrong We could've been doing this all along Everybody, with your fists raised high Let me hear your battle cry tonight Stand beside, or step aside We're on the frontline And we'll be carrying on, until the day it doesn't matter anymore S...

All of this is changing
None of this seems real
I just keep on waiting
To see if I can feel
Something like an angel watching over me
Maybe that's exactly what's in front of me
'Cause I'm better off now
Since you came around
You've gone and shown me
Everything I needed just to see that I am
Better off now
Since you came around
All I had to do is see what I could be
So I could know I'm
Better off now
I've wasted so much time now
Just to try and find
The answer to the question
I've tried so hard to hide
I never knew emotions
Could ever run this high
I was so far down
I lost the will to try
'Cause I'm better off now
Since you came around
You've gone and shown me
Everything I needed just to see that I am
Better off now
Since you came around
All I had to do is see what I could be
So I could know I'm
Better off now
Day after day
I threw it all away
I'm never turning back
That way again
'Cause I'm better off now
Since you came around
You've gone and shown me
Everything I needed just to see that I am
Better off now
Since you came around
All I had to do is see what I could be
So I could know I'm
