Up Close and Personal or variants may refer to:
Up Close & Personal is a 1996 American romantic drama film directed by Jon Avnet, and starring Robert Redford as a news director and Michelle Pfeiffer as his protegée, with Stockard Channing, Joe Mantegna and Kate Nelligan in supporting roles.
The screenplay began as an adaptation of Golden Girl: The Story of Jessica Savitch, a 1988 book by Alanna Nash that recounted the troubled life of American news anchor Jessica Savitch. The finished picture, however, was greatly altered by commercial decisions on the part of the producers, and bore little resemblance to Savitch's biography. Screenwriter John Gregory Dunne, having spent eight years working on the script with his wife Joan Didion, later wrote a book describing his difficult experience, entitled Monster: Living Off the Big Screen.
The film was nominated for an Academy Award in the category of Best Original Song ("Because You Loved Me"), written by Diane Warren and performed by Céline Dion.

Up Close is an American sports interview show that aired on ESPN from 1981-2001.
The program debuted in 1981 on USA Network and was created by the advertising agency Foote, Cone and Belding to advertise one of its clients, Mazda cars. Mazda SportsLook moved to ESPN in 1982 and was subsequently rechristened Up Close.
Once it arrived at ESPN, SportsLook was slotted before SportsCenter. The show aired at 6 p.m. Eastern time, followed by SportsCenter at 6:30. The show remained in that slot until September 1999, when SportsCenter was expanded to an hour and Up Close, as it was then renamed, moved to 5:30 p.m.
The original host of Up Close was Roy Firestone, who served as host for 13 years. During this time, both Firestone and the show won many CableACE Awards, then the gold standard for cable television programming. When Firestone left in 1994, Chris Myers became the new host; he stayed there until 1998 and enjoyed the highest ratings in the history of the program. Gary Miller was the show's host when Up Close signed off in 2001.

When did you get in
I didn't hear a thing
You hold me with your stare
Lost and unprepared
Maybe time of year
To make our way back here
Stitch another seam
Come to terms with love
Up close and personal
Every tear we shed puts us so on edge
Are you on my side?
Someone I can confide
Don't be so damn crazy baby
It's not the first time lost it lately
If the fire goes out might feel like running
my head blows up you might wanna leave
Oh the diamonds of your eyes have got me to thinking
You're crazy baby
Sing my way through life
Fear it hides my smile
If eyes are windows too,
the soul I see in you
Ever the pragmatist I see your life in bits
Every tear we shed puts us so on edge
Are you on my side?
Someone I can confide
Don't be so damn crazy baby
It's not the first time lost it lately
If the fire goes out might feel like running
My head blows up you might wanna leave
Oh the diamonds of your eyes have got me to thinking
