Earle Foxe (December 25, 1891 – December 10, 1973) was an American actor.
Foxe was born Earl Aldrich Fox in Oxford, Ohio, to Charles Aldrich Fox, originally of Flint, Michigan, and Eva May Herron. His older half sister was Ethel May Fox, a music teacher, born in Michigan to Charles Aldrich Fox and Katie Eldridge. Always very private about his own early history. He was educated at Ohio State University. He left for New York as a young man, joined a stock company and became a successful stage star, being on the stage with Douglas Fairbanks before going into films.
He appeared in some films in New York and lived at the Lambs Club in the early 1920s at 130 West 44th Street in New York City but moved to California in 1922 and signed a contract with Fox Film Corporation. He married Gladys Borum in 1923 and later legally adopted her son Chester E. Foxe.
He was one of the founders of Black-Foxe Military Institute, a military school for boys in Hollywood, in 1928. He died in Los Angeles, California.
"All rights reserved" is a phrase that originated in copyright law as a formal requirement for copyright notice. It indicates that the copyright holder reserves, or holds for their own use, all the rights provided by copyright law under one specific copyright treaty.
The phrase appears to have originated as a result of the Buenos Aires Convention of 1910. Article 3 of the Convention granted copyright in all signatory countries to a work registered in any signatory country, as long as a statement "that indicates the reservation of the property right" (emphasis added) appeared in the work. The phrase "all rights reserved" was not specified in the text, but met this requirement.
Other international copyright treaties did not require this formality. For example, the Universal Copyright Convention (UCC), adopted in 1952, adopted the © symbol as an indicator of protection. (The symbol had been introduced in the US by a 1954 amendment to the Copyright Act of 1909.) The Berne Convention rejected formalities altogether in Article 4 of the 1908 revision, so authors seeking to protect their works in countries that had signed on to the Berne Convention were also not required to use the "all rights reserved" formulation. However, because not all Buenos Aires signatories were members of Berne or the UCC, and in particular the United States did not join UCC until 1955, a publisher in a Buenos Aires signatory seeking to protect a work in the greatest number of countries between 1910 and 1952 would have used both the phrase "all rights reserved" and the copyright symbol.
John Foxe (1516/17 – 18 April 1587) was an English historian and martyrologist, the author of Actes and Monuments (popularly known as Foxe's Book of Martyrs), an account of Christian martyrs throughout Western history but emphasizing the sufferings of English Protestants and proto-Protestants from the fourteenth century through the reign of Mary I. Widely owned and read by English Puritans, the book helped mould British popular opinion about the Catholic Church for several centuries.
Foxe was born in Boston, in Lincolnshire, England, of a middlingly prominent family and seems to have been an unusually studious and devout child. In about 1534, when he was about sixteen, he entered Brasenose College, Oxford, where he was the pupil of John Hawarden (or Harding), a fellow of the college. In 1535 Foxe was admitted to Magdalen College School, where he may either have been improving his Latin or acting as a junior instructor. He became a probationer fellow in July 1538 and a full fellow the following July.
Jeanette Loff (October 9, 1906 – August 4, 1942) was an American motion picture actress and singer.
Born Janette Lov was born in Orofino, Idaho. She was the eldest of a family of five children born to Morris and Inga Loff. Her parents were of Norwegian and Danish heritage. Her father was a professional violinist who moved their family to Canada when Jeanette was a child. Afterwards, the family moved to Lewiston, Idaho. At the age of 11, Loff played the title role in the play Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. At 16 she was a lyric soprano and had the leading role in an operetta, Treasure Hunters. When she was seventeen the family moved to Portland, Oregon, where Loff continued her musical education at the Ellison-White Conservatory of Music. She played the organ in theaters in Portland as Jan Lov. Sometimes she appeared singing theater prologues during vacations from school.
Loff's motion picture career began with an uncredited role in the silent film version of Uncle Tom's Cabin. She was signed to a contract by Cecil B. DeMille, and was soon cast as in ingénue roles in almost every instance. This enticed her to take a break from her movie career and perform on stage. Her last screen role before she briefly retired was in the Paul Whiteman revue, The King of Jazz (1930). She remained under contract to Universal Pictures for some months but made no additional films. She went to New York City and appeared in musical plays and with orchestras. Loff returned to films with a role as a country girl in Mating Time. Her final motion picture performances came in Hide-Out, Flirtation, and Million Dollar Baby, all from 1934.

Henry VII (Welsh: Harri Tudur; 28 January 1457 -- 21 April 1509) was King of England and Lord of Ireland from his seizing the crown on 22 August 1485 until his death on 21 April 1509, as the first monarch of the House of Tudor. Henry won the throne when his forces defeated Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field. He was the last king of England to win his throne on the field of battle. Henry cemented his claim by marrying Elizabeth of York, daughter of Edward IV and niece of Richard III. Henry was successful in restoring the power and stability of the English monarchy after the political upheavals of the civil wars known as the Wars of the Roses. He founded the Tudor dynasty and, after a reign of nearly 24 years, was peacefully succeeded by his son, Henry VIII. This video is targeted...
Mary I was the Queen of England and Ireland from July 1553 until her death. Her executions of Protestants led to the posthumous sobriquet "Bloody Mary". She was the only child of Henry VIII by his first wife Catherine of Aragon to survive to adulthood. Her younger half-brother Edward VI succeeded their father in 1547. When Edward became mortally ill in 1553, he attempted to remove Mary from the line of succession, because of religious differences. On his death their first cousin once removed, Lady Jane Grey, was proclaimed queen. Mary assembled a force in East Anglia and deposed Jane, who was ultimately beheaded. Mary was—excluding the disputed reigns of Jane and the Empress Matilda—the first queen regnant of England. In 1554, Mary married Philip of Spain, becoming queen consort of Ha...
