Colin Luther Powell (/ˈkoʊlᵻn/; born April 5, 1937) is an American statesman and a retired four-star general in the United States Army. He was the 65th United States Secretary of State, serving under U.S. President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2005, the first African American to serve in that position. During his military career, Powell also served as National Security Advisor (1987–1989), as Commander of the U.S. Army Forces Command (1989) and as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (1989–1993), holding the latter position during the Persian Gulf War. Born in Harlem as the son of Jamaican immigrants, Powell was the first, and so far the only, African American to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the first of two consecutive black office-holders to serve as U.S. Secretary of State.
Powell was born on April 5, 1937, in Harlem, a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Manhattan, to Jamaican immigrant parents Maud Arial (née McKoy) and Luther Theophilus Powell, whose ancestry included African and Scots. Powell was raised in the South Bronx and attended Morris High School, from which he graduated in 1954. (This school has since closed.)
Donald John Trump, Sr. (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessperson and media personality. He is the chairman and president of The Trump Organization and the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts. Trump's career, branding efforts, personal life, wealth, and outspoken manner have made him famous throughout the country. Since 2015, he is also a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 election.
Trump is a native of New York City and a son of Fred Trump, who inspired him to enter real estate development. After two years at Fordham University and while studying at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Trump worked for his father's firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son. Upon graduating in 1968 he joined the company, and in 1971 was given control, renaming the company "The Trump Organization". Since then he has built hotels, golf courses, and other properties, many of which bear his name. He is a major figure in the American business scene and has received prominent media exposure. The NBC reality show The Apprentice bolstered his fame, and his three marriages were extensively reported in tabloids.

Take Surveys for CASH: http://tinyurl.com/zht9kd9 ---------------------- General COLIN POWELL (the son of immigrants) offers friendly advice to his buddy DONALD TRUMP on immigration policy. General Powell would actually make an excellent VICE PRESIDENT in a Trump Administration. Not only would Powell’s presence at Trump’s side reassure those concerned with Trump’s perceived ‘inexperience’ and ‘extremism’ but Powell would bring immense foreign policy gravitas and military expertise to the ticket. Both Powell and Trump have at various times been disrespected and ostracised by the GOP establishment and yet both men enjoy widespread popularity with vast constituencies across America. Trump could bring up to 70% of the WHITE vote while Powell could draw up to 60% of the BLACK vote to their joi...

O'Reilly grilled Powell on why he continues to support President Obama despite the bad economic numbers and made him defend his claim that the Republican party has a problem with minorities. Powell explained to O'Reilly that he was put off in 2008 and 2012 by the economic plans proposed by the Republican campaigns. He cited his long history of voting for Republicans and working for Republican presidents to assure O...

Powell was painted by artist Ronald Sherr, who is also responsible for NPG's portrait of President George H. W. Bush, acquired in 1995. Sherr's portrait of Powell is no small work—it measures 92 1/2 by 51 ¾ inches; the artist portrays the general standing in front of Theodore Roosevelt Hall at the National War College at Fort McNair in Washington D. February 5, 2003) Now even the Obama State Department is admitting Iraq had chemical shells it refused to destroy. Chemical shells were filled with chlorine and used by the Insurgency and now by ISIS as IED's.
Colin Powell was the US secretary of state on September 11, 2001, serving as then-President George Bush's point man on the world stage. Powell made the case for war with Iraq at the United Nations. On behalf of the administration, Powell said Saddam Hussein was trying to buy raw material from Africa to build nuclear weapons and he gave an elaborate description of an Iraqi weapons programme, that as it turned out, never existed. Now, Powell says the US government got it wrong. Al Jazeera's Tony Harris sat down with Powell to speak at length about his reflections and regrets on 9/11 and what's happened in the decade since.
