Dean Morgan

Dean Lance Morgan (born 3 October 1983) is a professional footballer who plays for Newport County. He has also played international football for Montserrat.

Club career

Morgan started his career with Colchester United, but left in September 2003, having his contract cancelled by mutual consent. He joined Reading in November 2003, before being released at the end of the 2004–05 season. He joined Luton Town in the summer of 2005. Morgan started well, scoring a late winner against Southampton on his first home appearance for the Hatters. This goal earned Morgan the club's Goal of the Season award. Despite this, Morgan proved an unpopular face at Kenilworth Road following rumors of an altercation with club captain Kevin Nicholls and displays of petulance on pitch leading some fans to feel his had a poor attitude.

Despite interest from other teams, Morgan signed a new deal at Luton on 16 February 2007, keeping him at Luton until the summer of 2009.

On 16 November 2007, Morgan signed on loan for Southend United until January 2008. He scored three goals for Southend, all of which came in the FA Cup in games against Oxford United (scoring once) and Dagenham & Redbridge (scoring twice). On 3 January 2008, Leeds United manager Dennis Wise confirmed that Morgan was one of his transfer targets in the transfer window, but Morgan remained at Luton as Leeds would not meet his wage demands, despite Luton being willing to release him on a free transfer. This was not the first time Wise had attempted to bring Morgan to Leeds, having also tried to sign him during the 2006–07 season. On 7 March 2008 Morgan signed for Crewe Alexandra on loan for the rest of the season, where he scored once against Gillingham.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (born April 22, 1966) is an American actor. He is best known for portraying Denny Duquette in the medical drama Grey's Anatomy for parts of three seasons (2006-2009), John Winchester on Supernatural, The Comedian in the 2009 superhero film Watchmen, and Ike Evans in Magic City. He is currently playing the role of Jason Crouse on the TV series The Good Wife. He will portray Negan in AMC's The Walking Dead.

Early life

Morgan was born in Seattle, Washington, the son of Sandy Thomas and Richard Dean Morgan. He attended Ben Franklin Elementary School, Rose Hill Junior High, and Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, Washington. He was a basketball player in high school and college.

Career

Starting with the 1991 film Uncaged, Morgan has appeared in over 25 feature films. However, the bulk of his work has been in television. He was the star of the 1996–1997 television series The Burning Zone; his character, Dr. Edward Marcase, appeared in 10 out of 19 episodes that season. In 2005 and 2006, Morgan simultaneously appeared in three separate television series: on the CW series Supernatural as John Winchester, in a recurring role on ABC's Grey's Anatomy as heart transplant patient Denny Duquette, and as Judah Botwin in two episodes of the Showtime series Weeds. He has also guest-starred in a number of television series, including ER, JAG, Walker, Texas Ranger, Angel, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Sliders, The O.C., and Monk.

Jeff Dean (computer scientist)

Jeffrey Adgate "Jeff" Dean (born 1968) is an American computer scientist and software engineer. He is currently a Google Senior Fellow in the Systems and Infrastructure Group.

Personal life and education

Dean received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Washington, working with Craig Chambers on whole-program optimization techniques for object-oriented languages. He received a B.S., summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota in Computer Science & Economics in 1990. He was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2009, which recognized his work on "the science and engineering of large-scale distributed computer systems."

Career in computer science

Prior to joining Google, he was at DEC/Compaq's Western Research Laboratory, where he worked on profiling tools, microprocessor architecture, and information retrieval.

Prior to graduate school, he worked at the World Health Organization's Global Programme on AIDS, developing software for statistical modeling and forecasting of the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

The Tonight Show is an American late-night talk show broadcast from the Rockefeller Center in New York City and airing on NBC since 1954. It is the world's longest-running talk show, and the longest running, regularly scheduled entertainment program in the United States. It is the third-longest-running show on NBC, after only the news-and-talk shows Today and Meet the Press.

Over the course of more than 60 years, The Tonight Show has undergone only minor title changes. It aired under the name Tonight for several of its early years, eventually settling on The Tonight Show after the seating of long-time host Johnny Carson in 1962. In later decades, network programmers, advertisers, and the show's announcers would refer to the show by including the name of the host; for example, it is currently announced as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In 1957, the show briefly tried a more news-style format. It has otherwise remained a talk show throughout its run.

The Tonight Show began broadcasting in 1954. It has had six official hosts, beginning with Steve Allen (1954–57), followed by Jack Paar (1957–62), Johnny Carson (1962–92), Jay Leno (1992–2009, 2010–14), Conan O'Brien (2009–10), and Jimmy Fallon (2014–present).
