Scary Movie 4

Scary Movie 4 is a 2006 American horror comedy parody film and the fourth film of the Scary Movie franchise, as well as the first film in the franchise to be released under The Weinstein Company banner since the purchase of Dimension Films. It was directed by David Zucker, written by Jim Abrahams, Craig Mazin and Pat Proft, and produced by Robert K. Weiss and Craig Mazin. The film marks the final Scary Movie appearances of the main stars, Anna Faris and Regina Hall (who portray Cindy and Brenda, respectively), and concludes the original story arc. This was initially intended to be the final film in the Scary Movie franchise, but Scary Movie 5 was released by The Weinstein Company on April 12, 2013, in a different storyline, with Simon Rex, Charlie Sheen, & Molly Shannon in different roles.

Plot

Shaquille O'Neal and Dr. Phil wake up to find themselves chained to pipes in a bathroom. Their host, Billy the Puppet, reveals that the room is slowly filling with nerve gas with the only way out being to make a basket and get the saws, which have to be used on their feet. Unfortunately, Dr. Phil saws the wrong foot and faints, leaving the two to die.

Scary Movie

Scary Movie is a 2000 American satirical horror comedy film directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans. The film is a dark comedy that heavily parodies the horror, slasher, and mystery genres. Several mid- and late-'90s films and TV shows are spoofed, primarily Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, as well as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Sixth Sense, The Usual Suspects, The Matrix, The Blair Witch Project, and Dawson's Creek.

The film was originally titled "Last Summer I Screamed Because Halloween Fell on Friday the 13th". The title was changed to Scary Movie in homage to the production title of Scream, which was also released through Dimension Films, and which serves as the primary inspiration for the film.

The film, the first in the Scary Movie film series, was followed by four sequels: Scary Movie 2 (2001), Scary Movie 3 (2003), Scary Movie 4 (2006) and Scary Movie 5 (2013).

Plot

An 18-year-old girl named Drew Decker (Carmen Electra) receives a threatening phone call while home alone one night. Drew is chased outside by Ghostface, who stabs her in the breast, removing one of her silicone breast implants. She is hit by a vehicle driven by her father, who was distracted by oral sex by his wife, and is then subsequently murdered by Ghostface.

Winston Rekert

Winston Houghton Rekert (June 10, 1949 – September 14, 2012) was a Gemini Award-winning Canadian actor. He was best known for starring in the television series Adderly and Neon Rider.

Career

A Vancouver native, Rekert started acting at age 12, appearing in an amateur production of Amahl and the Night Visitors. After high school, Rekert spent a year working in a logging camp, then took a year off to try acting. Rekert subsequently joined the Arts Club Theatre Company and in 1973 he landed his first television role on the comedy-drama The Beachcombers.

In 1985 Rekert played the role of Detective Langevin in the American film Agnes of God.

From 1986 to 1988 Rekert starred as the lead character in the Canadian television series Adderly, a comedy-drama that was a spoof of the spy genre. In 1987 Rekert won a Gemini Award for Best Performance by a Lead Actor in a Continuing Dramatic Role for his work on the series.

Following Adderly's cancellation, Rekert's childhood friend, Danny Virtue, pitched him an idea for a television series that eventually became Neon Rider. The series ran from 1990 to 1995 and starred Rekert as Michael Terry, a therapist who ran a ranch for troubled adolescents. Rekert also worked on the series as a writer, director and producer. Through the show Rekert became involved with a variety of youth groups and was named the national spokesman for Youth at Risk.
