Nischaya, an eighteen-year-old patient with extensively drug-resistant TB (XDR-TB), sits alongside her TB medication at home in the Ambedkar Nagar area of Mumbai, India. Nischaya is one of only a handful of XDR-TB patients in India lucky enough to have access to the new drug delamanid, one of just two new TB drugs to have been developed in the last 50 years.
