Munnar is a town in the southwestern state of Kerala, India. Munnar is situated around 1600 m above sea level, in the Western Ghats range of mountains and is a hill station.
The name Munnar is believed to mean "three rivers",referring to the location at the confluence of the Madhurapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly rivers. The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport, which is 105 kilometres away.

In this episode we bring to you stories about the tea tribes of Assam. Main Bhi Bharat team travelled to the tea gardens of Kokrajhar to know more about these tribes. These people belong to various tribes like Santhal, Munda, Kharia and were brought to Assam to work in tea gardens in early 19th century.
These tribals in other states like Jharkhand and West Bengal have got ST status but in Assam this status is not extended to these tribes. We try to understand various issues related to their livelihood and identity.
