Adam (Hebrew: אָדָם; Aramaic/Syriac: ܐܕܡ; Arabic: آدم) is a figure from the Book of Genesis who is also mentioned in the New Testament, the deuterocanonical books, the Quran, the Book of Mormon, and the Book of Iqan. According to the creation myth of the Abrahamic religions, he was the first human.
In the Genesis creation narratives, he was created by Yahweh-Elohim ("Yahweh-God", the god of Israel), though the term "adam" can refer to both the first individual person, as well as to the general creation of humankind. Christian churches differ on how they view Adam's subsequent behavior of disobeying God (often called the Fall of man), and to the consequences that those actions had on the rest of humanity. Christian and Jewish teachings sometimes hold Adam and Eve (the first woman) to a different level of responsibility for the Fall, though Islamic teaching holds both equally responsible. In addition, Islam holds that Adam was eventually forgiven, while Christianity holds that redemption occurred only later through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The Bahá'í Faith, Islam and some Christian denominations consider Adam to be the first prophet.

A revealing interview with writer/director Adam Rifkin about his new movie "LOOK". This shocking new film is about the things that people do when they don't know they're being watched by ever present security cameras that seem to be everywhere now.
The sleeper of the century and the first of the modern horror franchises. John Carpenter's low budget suburban slasher movie lurched out of nowhere to become one of the most infuential pictures of all time, changing the face of the genre for decades. Followed by seven sequels and Rob Zombie's remakes.
Mother-fixated serial killer Ed Gein, who inspired Psycho and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, is the subject of this grungy low-budget Canadian horror about a crazy old coot who stuffs his mom and eviscerates any woman unlucky enough to come near him. Also known as Confessions of a Necrophile. Bob Clark produced under a pseudonym. Former Chicago ad man John Hughes parlayed several print and script assignments for the National Lampoon into a writer/director gig on this, the first of a veritable onslaught of teen angst comedies that gave the world The Brat Pack, a group of young actors who went on to careers of varied length after hitting it big in Hughes movies. This one was written for 15 year-old Molly Ringwald, whose headshot Hughes pulled out of a pile of submissions. It hung over his typewriter as he banged out the script. April 31, 2016 - Adam the artist had his art on display at Joy Factory, an art gallery in Santa Monica, CA, along with a screening of "Director's Cut" to wrap of the evening. Penn & Teller made a fun video to show their love and Support for Rifkin. Joy Factory: Their mission: to provide working studio space, materials, exhibition opportunities and career advancement to professional artists living with developmental, learning and emotional disabilities; and to provide employment in a fun and inclusive venue to emerging adults living with these same challenges. In writer/director Adam Rifkin’s Faustian fable about the price of fame, we are plunged into a dark world of dirt and grime, heavily coated with an overlay of grease from bizarre pork products, such as "Blump's Squeezable Bacon” and, my personal favorite, “Blump’s Pig Newtons.” Marty Malt (Judd Nelson) is a schmucky garbage collector who craves fame as a standup comic, but lacks the chops. Noticing a lump on his back, he pays a visit to the aptly-named Dr. Scurvy (James Caan), one of the most memorable physicians in film history. Scurvy lectures Marty, and warns him to “leave it alone” as he slaps a Band-Aid on the lump. Caan’s Dr. Scurvy is mean, sordid and seedy, and his out-of-control reaction is hilarious (“I told you if you left it alone, it would probably go away, but no, you probabl...
