"Amado Mio" is a song from the classic 1946 film noir Gilda, written by Doris Fisher and Allan Roberts. The piece was lip-synched by Rita Hayworth and sung by Anita Kert Ellis.
Grace Jones's rendition of the song on her 1989 album Bulletproof Heart is the most well known. It served as its second and the last single, released in 1990. A special "Brazilian Mix" of "Amado Mio" was produced to promote the single, which was later available on the 2004 CD re-issue of Bulletproof Heart. The song charted low on European charts, despite being promoted live on various occasions. In the US, the single was a double A-side with "Crack Attack", and became a significant dance hit.
Pink Martini is a musical group that was formed in 1994 by pianist Thomas Lauderdale in Portland, Oregon. Describing itself as a "little orchestra," its music crosses genres such as classical, Latin, jazz and classic pop. The co-lead vocalists for Pink Martini are China Forbes and Storm Large.
In 1994 in his hometown of Portland, Oregon, Thomas Lauderdale was working in politics, thinking that one day he would run for mayor. Like other eager politicians-in-training, he went to every political fundraiser but was dismayed to find the music at these events underwhelming, lackluster, loud and un-neighborly. Drawing inspiration from music from all over the world – crossing genres of classical, jazz and old-fashioned pop – and hoping to appeal to conservatives and liberals alike, he founded the “little orchestra” Pink Martini in 1994 to provide more beautiful and inclusive musical soundtracks for political fundraisers for causes such as civil rights, affordable housing, the environment, libraries, public broadcasting, education and parks. The Robby Stubbs says 8-piece Pink Martini is a "little orchestra" unto itself, and brilliantly combines elements of classical, jazz, world music, and timeless pop that The Washington Post describes as "rich, hugely approachable music, utterly cosmopolitan yet utterly unpretentious... it seems to speak to just about everybody."
Storm Large (born Susan Storm Large, June 25, 1969) is a singer, songwriter, actor, and author. She attracted national attention as a contestant on the CBS reality television show Rock Star: Supernova. For many years solely a rock artist, in recent years she has branched out into the theater and cabaret world. A resident of Portland, Oregon, she currently balances performing with her own band in venues around the country and touring with the Portland-based band Pink Martini around the world.
Storm Large was born and raised in suburban Southborough, Massachusetts. Since around age five, she started singing and writing songs. She graduated in 1987 from St. Mark's School, a prestigious private school whose alumni include Ben Bradlee, Prince Hashim of Jordan, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt III. Her father Henry Large was a history teacher there, as well as the football team coach before he retired.
After high school, she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York., where she earned an associate degree in 1989.
A film festival is an organized, extended presentation of films in one or more cinemas or screening venues, usually in a single city or region. Increasingly, film festivals show some films outdoors. Films may be of recent date and, depending upon the festival's focus, can include international and domestic releases. Some festivals focus on a specific film-maker or genre (e.g., film noir) or subject matter (e.g., horror film festivals). A number of film festivals specialise in short films of a defined maximum length. Film festivals are typically annual events. Some film historians do not consider Film Festivals as official releases of film, like Jerry Beck. The best known film festivals are the Venice Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and the Berlin International Film Festival, the latter being the largest film festival worldwide, based on attendance. The Venice Film Festival is the oldest major festival. The Melbourne International Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the oldest in the world. A 2013 study found 3,000 active films festivals worldwide—active defined as having held an event in the previous 24 months.
The Honorable Mention was an important Military awards and decorations of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for those who distinguished themselves by acts of high bravery, but weren't eligible yet for the highest accolade of the Military William Order. The Honorable Mention was in fact not a medal but a mention in the proclamation of the Dutch army, to honor the soldier.
Since the mention was important in the process to be made an actual knight of the Military William Order, the Honorable Mentions were registered in the chapter of the Military William Order.
In the first instance no decoration was associated with this Honorable Mention, although unofficially soldiers used a small decorative metal wreath worn above their other decorations and medals. These decorative wreaths are primarily known to be used during the Ten days campaign (August 2 – August 12, 1831) and the Java War (1825-1830).
In 1877 King William III decided by royal decree that soldiers with an Honorable Mention were allowed to wear a silver crown on the ribbon or ribbon bar of the Dutch "Decoration for Important Military Acts" as decoration, together with a Roman numeral in case of multiple mentions. Hundreds of soldiers in the former Netherlands East Indies were awarded with these Honorable Mentions.

Amado mio
Nunca pensé que te amara tanto
Ahora que no estás aqui
He lavado mi recuerdo
Con lagrimas de amor
Tan sólo de pensar en ti
Nunca creí, que al dejarte ir
Tú fueras todo para mi
He curado mi nostalgia
Por encima del dolor
Esperando que vuelvas a mi
Huuuu! Amado mio
Rompe el silencio que estoy muriendo
Huuuu! Amado mio
Llevas contigo la otra parte de mi
No volveré a ser el aire que antes fuí
Por ti quiero volar a donde estés
Y haz que no sea un sueño volvernos a amar
Nunca pensé que me hicieras falta
Ahora que ya te perdí
He volcado mi esperanza
En un grito de pasión
En la espera de volverte a ver
Huuuu! Amado mio
Rompe el silencio que estoy muriendo
Huuuu! Amado mio
Llevas contigo la otra parte de mi
No volveré a ser el aire que antes fuí
Por ti quiero volar a donde estés
Y haz que no sea un sueño volvernos a amar
Huuuu! Amado mio
Rompe el silencio que estoy muriendo
Huuuu! Amado mio
Llevas contigo la otra parte de mi
