NS SD60I 6753 NS SD70 2523 4/19/15 - An ex-Conrail standard cab SD60 leads two newer widecab SD60 variants east on Georgia - North Jersey racks-ahead-of-stacks train 212. 6:00 - 212 - Atlanta, GA - Croxton, NJ NS SD60 6711 NS SD60I 6718 NS SD60E 6921 5/04/15 - The Original Norfolk Southern Heritage unit is on the point of priority stack train 212, heading east down the hill at Robesonia in the morning. The shot almost did not happen thanks to an I3M speeding west on Main 1, but thankfully, it worked out to be a perfect meet! 8:00 212 - Atlanta, GA - Croxton, NJ NS ES44AC 8114 NS C40-8W 8405 NS SD70M-2 2771 I3M - (Second/Late Section of 23M) - Elizabeth, NJ (Marine Terminal) - Chicago, IL (Union Pacific Global 1) NS C44-9W 9427 NS C44-9W 9415 Later that morning eastbound mixed freight 36Q crosses Ramona Road with an increasingly rare standard cab Dash-8 leading a fairly long train. 9:15 - 36Q - Linwood, NC - Allentown, PA NS C40-8 8739 NS C44-9W 9586 NS SD70ACe 1041 5/07/15 - An 054 High & Wide train heads west through downtown Lebanon with a single Dash-9 pulling a transformer on a flat car. 11:30 - 054 - High & Wide NS C44-9W 9932 That afternoon, 507 coal empties head west through Hershey (Milepost 99) with spring colors abound. 12:25 - 507 - Carneys Point, NJ - Shire Oaks, PA NS ES44AC 8133 NS SD70ACe 1009 NS SD70ACe 1129 That evening, a pair of ex-Union Pacific SD90MAC's pull 15T west on Main 2 across Ramona Road at the 81 signal. Over 100 SD90MAC's were purchased by Norfolk Southern from Union Pacific deadlines to be rebuilt into SD70ACU's. 13:45 -15T - Allentown, PA - Birmingham, AL NS SD9043MAC 7295 NS SD9043MAC 7261 5/12/15 - Loaded ethanol train 64T gets back up to track speed at Sinking Spring (Milepost 64) after slowing down for traffic waiting ahead at Wyomissing Junction. 15:45 - 64T - Chicago, IL - Philadelphia, PA NS ES44AC 8105 NS ES44AC 8109 That night at sunset, a "tri-clops" SD60M leads eastbound mixed freight 16T through the rock cut near Milepost 77. The SD60M, with an early three-window EMD wide-cab, was originally built for the Burlington Northern. 6808 is one of a few that were purchased from a deadline at BNSF, painted, and put into service. 17:20 - 16T - Birmingham, AL - Allentown, PA NS SD60M 6808 NS SD70 2543 NS C44-9W 9800 The ending shots of the video show the sunset over the farmland after 16T passes.
