CSX Tilford Yard and NS Inman Yard in Atlanta are among the biggest rail yards of both companies in Georgia. We take a look at both yards and watch multiple CSX and NS trains come and go: Loaded ethanol train CSX K443-29 with awesome KCS engines, manifests CSX Q612-30, CSX I675-01, and NS 363, autoracks NS 27A and NS 26A-01, and intermodals NS 231 and NS 282. As always, enjoy in HD quality!
These new NS ET44AC's are being routed to Chattanooga via the Memphis West (Memphis to Sheffield) and the Memphis East (Sheffield to Chattanooga) Districts. The first units came east last week on 16A, but I missed them, partly because they came by pretty early in the morning, lol, but anyway +TheSuitedCatProductions, +Vinsanity Productions, and +freebrickproductions caught the first batches on 362 (Sheffield to Chattanooga). Be sure to check out their videos, they have great channels. Then on Sunday evening I heard 23N was meeting a M6A (Extra 16A) at White Siding so I figured some Tier 4's might be in the lashup because 17 or so had come to Memphis on BNSF manifests on Friday and Saturday. So I got trackside quickly and in a few minutes along came M6A, and as he rounded the bend I was t...
Large yards like Norfolk Southern's Brosnan Yard in Macon GA are typically connected to various lines. Hence, the density of long-distance trains near those yards is particularly high. In addition, yards serve also the freight exchange with local industries. This work is done by short-distance or local trains, most of which leave and return to the yard on the same day. NS trains in this video are the locals G10, G41, GM07, GM10, G61, G59, and G07, the rock train 62T, intermodals and autoracks 26Q (with Union Pacific leader), 276, and 230, and finally the manifests 321, M47 (with Canadian Pacific lashup), and 151. Plus the video features some yard action at the north and south end of Brosnan as well. Enjoy!
This video is dedicated to High and Wide movements on the Norfolk Southern Harrisburg Line, shot between 2010 and 2014, including a variety of loads, including transformers, a Schnabel car, and a windmill train. Some of these scenes appeared in previous videos uploaded—as long-time subscribers may recall—while half are new. Most of the time we catch the trains twice due to a variety of speed restrictions they have encountered between the shots. A look at the former Pennsylvania Railroad's Buffalo Line in 2016. The Buffalo Line is a former Pennsylvania Railroad mainline that was once double-tracked (and busy) between its famous Enola Yard in Harrisburg all the way to Buffalo, NY.... Today, this now single-track line is a mere skeleton of what it once was, becoming fragmented, segmented and been broken down between several different railroads.... Norfolk Southern controls the line and runs most of their traffic between Harrisburg and Northumberland (Norry).. In Sunbury the switch at C.P. KASE is NS' connection to its Sunbury Line to Binghamton, Albany and its Pan Am Southern venture with Pan Am Railways.... North of Norry the traffic dwindles which prompted NS to spin off the line in 2010.. Today, some coal traffic comes off o...
A total of 13 hopper cars jumped the tracks in two separate switching accidents this morning. The first mishap occurred early when eight empty hopper cars - cut loose by a locomotive - jumped the tracks. The second accident came some 3 hours later and involved 5 more hoppers. However, traffic on the main line was not affected - - - and no one was hurt. In fact, says an N&W; spokesman - there was no damage to the cars. Track crews didnt waste much time in clearing up the two accidents. About the only damage sustained was to the rails themselves. The spokesman termed the mishaps: "Just things that happen in the normal course of operations."
After all the events downtown with UP 844 and heritage units my friend and I went to the store and boom here comes another train. Yesterday was just amazing for a railfan in Memphis, Tennessee

Picked up the septa set along with the autorack car from york today.
With the fate of the Bow, NH power plant being unknown in the next few years, I've been taking advantage of my close proximity to the Pan Am Railways district 3 mainline. Every week or 2, the Public Service of New Hampshire orders coal trains from the mines in the Monongahela valley region in Pennsylvania to bring coal to the PSNH Bow Power Plant. Since the plant was just sold to a new owner who plans on shutting it down, these coal trains will end with it. So I have been shooting as many coal trains as I can lately. First off, we start at CPF AY where we see the Loaded Coal Train on 10/16 heading east on track 1 (I did chase that day but had a low battery for video so this is the only video from that chase). Note that a rare SD60 is in the lashup. Next, on 10/21 brings me to Shirley, MA, ...

Norfolk is possibly most famous for the man-made Broads, more than 125 miles of navigable lock-free waterways set in beautiful countryside, with many charming and picturesque towns and villages, and fantastic wildlife. The big skies and sparkling landscape of marshland fields, feathery reeds and tangled woodlands are a perfect canvas for adventure and relaxation - time to reflect, space to explore, a magical opportunity to enjoy a fabulous break.
Take a picturesque 70 mile journey along the Norfolk Coast Path from 'Sunny Hunny' Hunstanton to the golden sandy beaches at Hembsy. Watch how this beautiful Norfolk coastline changes dramatically as we move from west to east. From the amazing coloured layered cliffs at Hunstanton to Marram Grass filled sand-dunes at Holkham with miles of shell filled beaches. Salt marshes and meandering creeks take prominence from Brancaster to Blakeney - areas of outstanding natural beauty! Cliffs re-emerge at the pebbled filled beach at Weybourne and continue around the North East corner protecting this vulnerable part of the Norfolk coastline from the North Sea until they merge again with sand dunes and gorgeous beaches at Sea Palling and Hemsby. Also along the route we visit popular tourist spots...
