Thieves caught on camera after stealing $45K in smash-and-grab

The front window of Boyds Philadelphia in Center City was shattered early Tuesday in a theft in which hats, jackets, and other menswear valued at more than $45,000 were taken. The video released Wednesday shows a red Toyota SUV twice back into a glass window at Boyds Philadelphia early Tuesday and a Mercedes Benz sedan pull off to the side. Several hooded and masked suspects in the video shatter the glass. One suspect dumps an armful of clothes into the sedan. At least seven men were involved in the heist. Police say hats, jackets and other items were taken, all designer labels totally over $45,000. They found a piece of a bumper outside the store. Police say they believe the SUV has significant rear-end damage. The smash-and-grab happened at 4:41 a.m, though the time stamp on the CCTV says 3:52 a.m. Police say the cars they are looking for are a red 2016 Toyota Rav4 and a silver 2012 Mercedes Benz S350. They're asking for the public's help in identifying the culprits.
