Aron John Baynes (born 9 December 1986) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He attended the Australian Institute of Sport in 2005 and played college basketball for Washington State University. His older brother, Callum, also played professional basketball.
On 1 June 2009, Baynes signed a two-year deal with Lietuvos Rytas of the Lithuanian Basketball League. In July 2009, he joined the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2009 NBA Summer League where he averaged 2.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in five games. Following the 2009–10 season, he parted ways with Lietuvos Rytas.
On 15 July 2010, Baynes signed a two-year deal with EWE Baskets Oldenburg of the Basketball Bundesliga. In 40 games, he averaged 6.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. On 29 June 2011, he parted ways with Oldenburg.
On 24 August 2011, Baynes signed a one-year deal with Ikaros Kallitheas of the Greek Basket League.
On 1 August 2012, Baynes signed a one-year deal with Union Olimpija of the Slovenian Basketball League. On 5 January 2013, he played his final game for Olimpija as he later left the team in pursuit of an NBA contract.
Is Aron Baynes, at this very moment, the most ridiculous looking NBA player? His pink-skinned doughy face adorned with a gigantic ginger beard and a tiny little topknot does not scream "normal looking dude" to me. Big beards and small hair-tuft things are en vogue. Someone probably told Baynes that, or he figured it out himself, but he didn't realize that you need to be conventionally attractive for those things to work. Otherwise, you end up looking even worse than before. That clear mask just adds another layer, figuratively and literally, to his disaster of a "look". I can almost ignore his appearance in light of the 20 points he scored tonight in place of Andre Drummond. Almost. But not really, because these near-career-high highlights will always be tainted by his puffball beard an...
"That's it!" Aron Baynes announced as he threw down the paint brush, having just finished painting an image of himself performing a chokeslam on Hulk Hogan. "The Baynes Bus Mk.III is ready to roll!". He looked around at the interior of his completed creation, smiling broadly. "Ain't she a beaut? Henry? I SAID, ain't she a beaut?" "She sure is, boss. Yo, you sure it's okay that I drive this thing? You know I got my license revoked after I drove the last one into the river in San 'Tone." Henry responded hesitantly from the driver's seat. "Damn straight it's fine. It's all fine here in the Baynes Bus. How could it not be, when we have a frickin' nacho cheese machine RIGHT IN THE BUS? People are gonna be lining up to Bayng with the Big Baynger like they would if it was Pamela Anderson offeri...

Here, finally, is the long awaited Aussie highlights from the 2015 Rising stars challenge. Dante Exum was always a shoe-in for the selection, but a late scratch from Kelly Olynk, meant Delly would get the call up and provide an apt representation for us. Both players finished with a couple of buckets (both had 4pts a piece), though the highlight plays for me were Dante's lockdown defence on both Trey (who I'm sure he's had plenty of practice against) and Oladipo, a nice steal in transition and a sweet ankle breaker that was marred by a secondary defender... It was a shame that Exum didn't see the ball more, because he just looks so damn dangerous on that first step -- but this is an allstar appearance, and players in the Rising Stars challenge aren't always known for their generosity (e...

Mills is the second Indigenous Australian to play in the NBA (after Nathan Jawai) and the first person of Torres Strait Islander descent. Mills was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 55th overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft after playing college basketball for Saint Mary's College of California. He also played for the Melbourne Tigers of the National Basketball League and the Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association during the NBA lockout. He signed with the San Antonio Spurs in 2012 and won an NBA championship with them in 2014. He plays the point guard position. Mills led the 2012 Olympics...
King Marjanovic sat in his private chambers, located at the top of the highest tower of the castle. From this high-up vantage point, the king could look out each of the room's four windows in turn and be able to see nearly the full extent of his kingdom. Now taking the opportunity to so look, he smiled and clasped his large hands together at the sight of the sun-dappled hills and fertile fields of his lands. Boban was interrupted by a tentative voice from behind him. "My king..." He turned around to find his adviser, Kawhi Leonard, standing at the top of the steps. Kawhi had been the only member of former-King Duncan's royal court to escape the torments of the dungeons, so wise was his counsel. While such vermin as Ginobili and Parker received cruel treatment for their loyalty to the depo...

If Gerald Green dunks it this hard in the NBA, imagine how hard he was dunking during the two years he spent in glorious Russia. Nothing against the guys in the Russian league, I'm sure they ball their hearts out every night, but they probably were no match for Gerald Green's superhuman jamming prowess. In their defense, they almost certainly are able to consume more vodka than Gerald, so it's a wash in the end. I would try to make a dunkilation out of those two seasons overseas but the sites were I could potentially download those games always give me viruses. Not only that, but Windows changed its default language to Russian and I don't know enough Russian to change it back. Worse even than that, I'm pretty sure I'm under surveillance by the Russian mafia, my own computer turned aga...
