Clara (Clóirtheach or An Clárach in Irish) is a town on the River Brosna in County Offaly and is the 10th largest town in the midlands of Ireland. The town has a population of 3001 (2006 census), however a number of well populated housing estates lie outside the town boundary making the actual population higher. Clara has plenty of local services including churches, banks, credit union, schools, supermarkets, shops, garages, pubs, nightclubs and restaurants. It has its own Garda(police) and fire station while the Midlands regional hospital is located just seven miles away in Tullamore. Clara has a strong association with sport. The successful GAA club looks after Gaelic football and hurling from under 8 to senior level. Clara also has a successful junior soccer club. The town has two swimming pools and a successful pitch and putt club. Clara's power lifting club has won a number of national and international awards. A golf driving range is located in the town also with the Esker Hills golf club located just outside the town. There is a local equestrian centre and sports centre also.

After more than 150 years as a small farming community, the San Jose area in the mid-20th century contained some of the last undeveloped land near San Francisco Bay. It then began to experience rapid population growth, much of it coming from veterans returning from World War II. San Jose then continued its aggressive expansion during the 1950s and 1960s by annexing more land area. The rapid growth of the high-technology and electronics industries further accelerated the transition from an agricultural center, to an urbanized metropolitan area.
By the 1990s, San Jose's location within the booming local technology industry earned the city the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley". San Jose is now considered by some to be a global city. The U.S. Census Bureau reported the population of the city to be 945,942 in 2010.

The pirates attack caused a majority of the population to look for a safer place further inland. Santa Clara surrounded by hills came into existence in 1689 and soon became the center of the region due to its location. The main square Park Vidal was named after the colonel who died during the second war of independence here. The square looks like any other square in Cuba. It has beautiful parks and is decorated by peacock flowers, boxwood and royal palms with a classical bandstand in the middle.
The houses flanking the square were built in the 1920s and are mainly buildings with pillars and arcades. One of them is the best café in the city, the neoclassical building of Palacio Provincial is decorated by ionic columns and big tympanum. The building houses offices and a library and we could find a cinema, bank and several hotels on the square. The biggest building is the renovated Teatro la Carida. It's tympanum on the façade has a slashed shape rather than a common triangular one.
If it hadn't been for Che Guevara, today's Santa Clara might only have its main square to be proud of. In this way, however, we can't miss the square of revolution and the mausoleum which houses the remains of Che Guevara and 16 of his fellow combatants killed in 1967 during the Bolivia Campaign. In the huge Plaza dela Revolucion, the monumental statue of the hot tempered but ardent commander can be seen from far away. The relief of the pedestal depicts the episodes of Che's life. Across the square, a museum commemorates his life of 39 years.
In 1998, Pope John Paul II held mass here with a crowd of worshipers. Live fast, dangerously and die early. This may be the watchword of every true revolutionary but Ernesto che Guevara lived it. He was born in 1928 in Argentina and was executed in 1967 in Bolivia. Today, he lives on as a legend

Santa Clara surrounded by hills came into existence in 1689 and soon became the center of the region due to its location. The main square Park Vidal was named after the colonel who died during the second war of independence here. The square looks like any other square in Cuba. It has beautiful parks and is decorated by peacock flowers, boxwood and royal palms with a classical bandstand in the middle.
The houses flanking the square were built in the 1920s and are mainly buildings with pillars and arcades. One of them is the best café in the city, the neoclassical building of Palacio Provincial is decorated by ionic columns and big tympanum. The building houses offices and a library and we could find a cinema, bank and several hotels on the square. The biggest building is the renovated Teatro la Carida. It's tympanum on the façade has a slashed shape rather than a common triangular one.
If it hadn't been for Che Guevara, today's Santa Clara might only have its main square to be proud of. In this way, however, we can't miss the square of revolution and the mausoleum which houses the remains of Che Guevara and 16 of his fellow combatants killed in 1967 during the Bolivia Campaign. In the huge Plaza dela Revolucion, the monumental statue of the hot tempered but ardent commander can be seen from far away. The relief of the pedestal depicts the episodes of Che's life. Across the square, a museum commemorates his life of 39 years.
In 1998, Pope John Paul II held mass here with a crowd of worshipers. Live fast, dangerously and die early. This may be the watchword of every true revolutionary but Ernesto che Guevara lived it. He was born in 1928 in Argentina and was executed in 1967 in Bolivia. Today, he lives on as a legend

Powerscourt Estate is probably the nicest garden of the country. Opposites its drive way is a golf course with beautiful greens for golf enthusiast. The park built by order of Richard Wingfield around 1730 is situated at the foot of the Wicklow Mountains.
Wingfield's descendant the Seventh Viscount had it expanded in the middle of the 1800's making room for the statues and gates he had collected during his European journeys.
The way to the park leads to the castle planed by Richard Castle in Palladian style. In 1974 the building was totally gutted by fire. During its reconstruction the Slazenger family of sporting goods spanned and the architects started a new direction. In the glass top interior they opened a special shopping center, elegant restaurants and cafes. With these they actually subordinated the castle itself to the park which is the main attraction here.
Two Pegasus statues guard the Mediterranean style stairway leading up to the Italian garden. Pegasus was the heraldic animal of the Wingfield family. The mosaic of the road leading to Lake Triton was made using several tons of grapple.
The statue of Triton standing in the middle of the lake is a copy of Bernini work of the 17th century. Especially exotic evergreens grow well here in the park. In the pet Cemetery, the Wingfield's dogs, cats and horses are buried.
On the former Marsh Land lying a bit lower a quite little Japanese Garden has been created. The fountain decorated with dolphins stands on a lake full of gold fish. The huge botanic garden also has its own nursery and green houses. If someone would like to buy and take home the seeds of Irish wild flowers were that of the three leaf clover, the Shamrock, he can do it here.
From Powerscourt the military road built by former English soldiers' lives to the heart of the Wicklow Mountains, not far from the Great Sugar Loaf we can glimpse the nicest water fall of the country, the Powerscourt Waterfall. The forming water of the Dark old river falls form the height of 130 meters into a granite precipice.
Going along in the military road we encounter romantic landscapes and several smaller waterfalls. The Glenmacnass waterfall is especially pretty.
Here are Ireland's highest situated village Roundwood and smallest village, Vale of Clara consisting of only two houses, a church and a school.
When we're talking about European car production beside the German, French and Italian we tend to forget the English, however they produce really excellent cars and the Veteran Roll Royce, Jaguars, Rovers, Morris, Triumphs and MG's are very much in demand equally in England, Scotland and Ireland.
In castle gardens old timer car events are often organized providing lavish entertainment for those interested. On such events we can often meet models from one brand of several generations. The cars can even be rented for weddings or larger events.
Drinking is not the only activity in Irish pubs but we can also have a meal and become acquainted with the National cuisine at reasonable prices. Breakfast here is similar to an English one, however porridge is inevitable and in many places the local version of Scottish haggis is also consumed. The main meal can be fish, beef or turkey. Trout and salmon are also very popular but also shellfish soup and fresh oysters. A typical meal is the Dublin coddle made of sausages, streaky bacon, potatoes and onions and of course there's always fish stew.
The legendary Irish stew is a soup made of mutton, onions and potatoes and can be enough as a one dish meal.

When we're talking about European car production beside the German, French and Italian we tend to forget the English, however they produce really excellent cars and the Veteran Roll Royce, Jaguars, Rovers, Morris, Triumphs and MG's are very much in demand equally in England, Scotland and Ireland.
In castle gardens old timer car events are often organized providing lavish entertainment for those interested. On such events we can often meet models from one brand of several generations. The cars can even be rented for weddings or larger events.
Drinking is not the only activity in Irish pubs but we can also have a meal and become acquainted with the National cuisine at reasonable prices. Breakfast here is similar to an English one, however porridge is inevitable and in many places the local version of Scottish haggis is also consumed. The main meal can be fish, beef or turkey. Trout and salmon are also very popular but also shellfish soup and fresh oysters. A typical meal is the Dublin coddle made of sausages, streaky bacon, potatoes and onions and of course there's always fish stew.
The legendary Irish stew is a soup made of mutton, onions and potatoes and can be enough as a one dish meal.

Since 97% of Americans have never traveled to Cuba, I share some of my archival footage from 8 months ago that I shot on a typical communist propaganda bus drive between Santa Clara and my hotel on the northern central coast at Cayo Santa Maria. It at least allows viewers a slight taste of what Cuba looks like outside of Havana. This narration is the sanitized official stuff all tourist hear. The real Cuba awaits all who dare rent or hire a car to see this country on your own terms, which is the best way to take in the dwindling Castro regime and the kind spirited nature of the Cuban people. This was my 3rd trip there. When I return for my 4th trip Castro will be gone and cocaine, guns, and criminal corruption will be there as it was before the revolution in 1959. The only good thing about communism is that it makes people fear their government and keeps tourists like me really safe. Detroit is dangerous. Havana is not. Do the math....

Founded in 1872, was the first municipal park in the U.S. state of California. The 720 acre (2.9 km2) park offers 13 miles (21 km) of trails. The valley includes a visitor center, a small museum/animal rehab facility, picnic areas, playgrounds, lawns, sand volleyball pits, mineral springs, lush plant life, woodlands, creek play opportunities, and occasional group camping.

The valley, named after the Spanish Mission Santa Clara, was for a time known as the Valley of Heart’s Delight for its high concentration of orchards, flowering trees, and plants. Until the 1960s it was the largest fruit production and packing region in the world with 39 canneries.
