Adult Swim (stylized as [adult swim] or [as]) is an American cable network that shares channel space with Cartoon Network, both of which are owned by Turner Broadcasting System, a division of Time Warner, Inc., every night from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Eastern and Pacific Time in the United States. The network is programmed by Williams Street Studios, a division of Turner Broadcasting System, which also developed two prior television programming blocks seen on Cartoon Network: Toonami (which later became a block on Adult Swim in 2012) and Miguzi. The name comes from a phrase used by public swimming pools to label designated times when children are restricted from using the facilities in favor of adults: "Adult Swim".
Debuting as a programming block on Cartoon Network in 2001, Adult Swim was established as alternative programming during the late night hours when Cartoon Network's primary target audience, children and teenagers between the ages of 7–15, would normally be sleeping. Much of Adult Swim's general content is known for its risqué, unorthodox and often bizarre presentation, while many of the series features are developed in stark contrast with traditional American television programs. The network was granted its own Nielsen ratings report due to differing target demographics, and broadcasts in countries such as Australia and New Zealand. The block features stylistically varied animated and live-action shows including original programming, syndicated series mainly consisting of Fox animated programming, short films, OVAs, and Japanese anime, generally with minimal or no editing for content.
Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, known collectively as Tim & Eric, are an American comedy duo and creators of the Adult Swim television series Tom Goes to the Mayor, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule, and Tim & Eric's Bedtime Stories.
Wareheim and Heidecker met in 1994 at Temple University in Philadelphia, becoming instant friends. They began producing a number of short low-budget films and cartoons for their website. Their short entitled Tom Goes to the Mayor was selected by the Philadelphia Institute of World Cinema as a short film and was included in The University of Pennsylvania's Institute of Contemporary Art.
In 2001, the two compiled a tape of many of their shorts and submitted it to various comedic heroes, including Mr. Show's Bob Odenkirk, who reacted to their work with enthusiasm and agreed to collaborate with them on a pilot of Tom Goes to the Mayor, which was submitted to and greenlit by Adult Swim and adapted as a series. It appeared on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim and ran for two seasons. They have then created another Adult Swim program, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, which ran for five seasons and established a major cult following for the duo. They have also released a CD with music from Awesome Show entitled Tim and Eric Awesome Record, Great Songs! and in 2012 they released a feature film, Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie.

This film champions human rights by capturing a glimpse of the life of Frances and her courageous humanitarian spirit. It is an unconditional love story to her deceased son as this ordinary woman journeys into an extraordinary world and becomes a mother to an entire community. Frances took the unimaginable experience; losing her only child; and turns it into the most wonderful gift a mother could give. By embracing the gay community, and following the iconic path of her son, she has inherited the most befitting name "The Mother Divine". During filming, Frances, now 87, learned that she has lung cancer. While battling this terrible disease, Frances never gave up on her purpose and continues to spread her message of Love and Acceptance of all people wherever she goes.
