On this video i'm going to show you how i made this diamond shaped paperweight from start to finish. The reason why the molten copper started leaking from the mold was because i didn't push the 2 molds tight enough together. What i should have done was put some weights on the corners to weigh it down but oh well i make mistakes sometimes. The diamond still came out looking good at the end. Stacking Copper is great to do but buying it in the form of copper rounds or bars is a waste of money, usually the premiums are so high you can never get that back when it's so high above copper spot price.

In the Roman era, copper was principally mined on Cyprus, hence the origin of the name of the metal as aes сyprium (metal of Cyprus), later corrupted to сuprum, from which the words copper (English), cuivre (French), and Kupfer (German) are all derived.

This Tuscan style hand carved kitchen cart is made in white oak with copper finishes. It stands 36.5 x 14 x 22 inches. The surface is carved by hand with a carving gouge. The copper came from left over electrical piping that I had left over. The construction of the cart is mortises and tenon style. I made it to act as a mobile island and work surface in the kitchen

Was great fun and i'm very happy with my first ever copper pour, I will be making many copper bars from free copper I find and stack them for the fun of it, just like stacking gold bullion, copper looks just as impressive.

Making Diamond Shaped Paperweight Out of Copper Start to Finish
On this video i'm going to show you how i made this diamond shaped paperweight from start to finish. The reason why the molten copper started leaking from the mold was because i didn't push the 2 molds tight enough together. What i should have done was put some weights on the corners to weigh it down but oh well i make mistakes sometimes. The diamond still came out looking good at the end.
