I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. My family is still at home today while I am off to work. The kids have one more holiday day and my husband has the same since he works for a utility.

This weekend was warm and we should have green on all the trees within the next few weeks! I am so ready for lush spring green everywhere. 

Sometimes I see things when they come out and even though I can’t wear them for months to come pick them up anyways. That is the case with this polka dot skirt. There are only a few left in this colour combination.

After a week with temperatures all over the map I think Spring is ready to start in earnest. Still Spring can mean cool days. I have been noticing other bloggers who I know live in Ontario posting outfits with bare legs. We had snow. Two days ago. Consider this the before shot. I started a 21 day cleanse or challenge diet to reset some bad eating habits and drop some weight. Basically it is heavy on vegetables and proteins. Very low to no carbs and some intermittent fasting. So far it has been ok. I like to eat big salads so that isn’t an issue. Grocery shopping for the week while fasting was hard that is for sure. 

Everlane has a few different trench styles. The original style, The Swing Trench, was quite short and not what I was looking for. I wanted something that was more midi length. Longer than what is the typical trench coat length which is above the knee. So when Everlane came out with their Drape Trench Coat I saw exactly what I was looking for. I am trying something a bit different than what I usually do for spring. I am traditionally a beige trench girl. It is classic and my go to no fail outfit. When Everlane offered to send me some of their clothes to review I knew I wanted to try out one of their trench coats. But since I already have two shades of beige I went for black instead.

I have never really understood the pull of a great silk shirt. I have had a few silk shirts and they were ok. But they were also thin and cold and not as luxurious as I was lead to believe.
