RAWA is the oldest political/social organization of Afghan women struggling for peace, freedom, democracy and women's rights in fundamentalism-blighted Afghanistan since 1977.
جمعیت انقلابی زنان افغانستان (راوا) قدیمی ترین سازمان سیاسی - اجتماعی زنان افغان است كه از سال ۱۳۵۶ بدینسو بخاطر آزادی، دموكراسی و احقاق حقوق زنان در افغانستان بنیادگرا زده می‌رزمد.

Afghanistan opium production up 43% - UN drugs watchdog October 23, 2016, BBC News: Opium production in Afghanistan has increased by 43 percent in the past year, United Nations officials have said. The UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) said the area used to farm the poppy plant, the source of opium, increased by 10 percent to 201,000 hectares. But better farming conditions resulted in a higher yield per hectare, increasing overall production.

Husband Sets Fire To His 23-year-old Wife In Afghan province October 16, 2016, TOLOnews.com: A Herat man on Saturday doused his wife in petrol before setting the 23-year-old woman on fire in Anjel district, officials said. According to officials the incident took place after the two had an argument. The woman survived the incident but is in hospital. According to police, the husband fled the area but police are looking for the man.


Afghanistan’s Shia Hazara Suffer Latest Atrocity October 13, 2016, HRW: A gunman wearing an Afghan National Security Forces uniform opened fire on Shia mourners at Kabul’s landmark Sakhi Shrine on Wednesday, killing 18 people and wounding 54. The attack on members of the Shia Hazara community occurred on the eve of Ashura, the Shia mourning day. Victims included four women, including Sumaya Muhammadi, a member of the Daikundi provincial council, and two children.
