Leaderless Palestinian youth, inspired by instructional videos and photos on social media encouraging people to "Stab a Jew," are thought to be behind a new wave of violence in Israel and the West Bank. Uncoordinated and spontaneous attacks by individual young Palestinians, mostly under the age of 25, started to occur almost daily from October 2015, with assailants often using a household weapon — a knife, axe, meat cleaver, screwdriver — before being fired upon by nearby Israeli security forces. So far, the bloodshed has claimed the lives of at least 28 Israelis and 189 Palestinians, 128 of whom Israel says were assailants. Israelis believe that Palestinian Muslim youth are being radicalized by Islamic groups through online incitement campaigns. Micah Avni, the son of Richard Lakin who w...

A "Palestinian" father yells and taunts IDF soldiers, demanding that they kill his little 3-year-old child, Muhammad Suroor, so it can be captured on video for propaganda purposes. Instead, the Israeli soldier shakes the young "Palestinian" child's hand and tries to talk with him. The father then ordering his child not to be afraid, to throw rocks at the soldiers and to raise the flag so they will shoot him. In which John Green teaches you about conflict in Israel and Palestine. This conflict is often cast as a long-term beef going back thousands of years, and rooted in a clash between religions. Well, that's not quite true. What is true is that the conflict is immensely complicated, and just about everyone in the world has an opinion about it. John is going to try to get the facts across in under 13 minutes. The Palestinian Authority has delayed the municipal elections for four months after a court verdict stated that they should be held only in the West Bank and not in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Authority, based in the West Bank has not set a new date for the vote. The Palestinian Central Elections Commission and the United Nations special representative have welcomed the postponement. They expressed hope that Gaza would be included in the eventual vote. But the High Court verdict has sparked a harsh reaction from Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, the governing body in the Gaza Strip. Hamas also rejected the 4-month delay saying that the whole scenario is a move by Fatah party to avoid an electoral defeat. The ruling practically cancels the anticipated first political contest in...
Thousands of Palestinian youth in the besieged Gaza Strip have taken part in what they are calling an 'electronic demonstration' to mark the first anniversary of the Al-Quds uprising, or the third Intifada, which broke out on October 1st, 2015. The popular uprising was sparked by Israel's restrictions on Palestinians' right to pray in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, Islam's third holiest site. Tensions grew out of control and extended to include wider parts of the occupied Palestinian territories in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Israel. Our Correspondent Noor Harazeen has the latest. http://multimedia.telesurtv.net/v/palestinians-mark-the-1st-anniversary-of-the-third-intifada/
Read your free e-book: http://hotaudiobook.com/mebk/50/en/B008KL5GZK/book Each year, Israels young men and women are drafted into compulsory military service and are required to engage directly in the Israeli-palestinian conflict. This conflict is by its nature intensely complex and is played out under the full glare of international security. So, how does Israels education system prepare its young people for this? How is Palestine, and the Palestinians against whom these young Israelis will potentially be required to use force, portrayed in the school system? Nurit Peled-elhanan argues that the school books used in the educational system are embued with an anti-palestinian ideology, and that they play a part in priming Israeli children for military service.since Israeli young men and wome...
This Palestinian ex-Muslim sends me his concerns about fitting into the world. I apologize if I kind of ramble, I was really tired.
Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has criticized a court verdict which says the upcoming municipal elections could not be held in the Gaza Strip.Hamas has dismissed the decision as politically motivated and discriminatory, and called on the Palestinian elections committee not to recognize the verdict. The Palestinian High Court recently ruled that the upcoming vote cannot be held in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip and will be held in the West Bank only. The ruling practically cancels the anticipated first political contest in a decade between Fatah and Hamas movements in both territories. The court decision has also led the Palestinian Authority to delay municipal elections by four months. The vote was originally set to be held on October eighth.
