Mumbai rapper Divine changes up traditional tune of Indian music - BBC News
India's famed music scene is making room for a new generation, bearing turntables and a mic, instead of a sitar and drums.
Local rapper
Vivian Fernandes, aka
Divine. recently struck a deal with
Sony Music for his songs, which are mostly performed in Hindi.
"I can connect with every type of person in India if I rap in Hindi, from the security guard to the office worker," Divine tells
BBC Pop Up.
