Broadway Review: ‘Oh, Hello on Broadway’

Edit Variety 11 Oct 2016
John Mulaney have taken their cult hit, “Oh, Hello,” to mainstream Broadway’s Lyceum Theater, a “famously haunted theater,” according to the new residents. Their pre-established fanbase from Comedy Central, alt-comedy clubs and obscure videos should go for this sloppy, silly, occasionally inspired, extended version of their comic shtick as two affected Upper West Side geezers... Timeless: Is Flynn Really Trying to Save the World?

Edit Worcester Telegram 11 Oct 2016
Timeless is not a perfect series, nor is it a great series. If you're a stickler for facts and well versed in American history, you'll probably want to go with other ways to spend your Mondays lest you find yourself banging your head on a table during each episode. But the dramatic stakes are silly enough and the costumes are cool enough that if you can ... ....

Edit Deseret News 11 Oct 2016

Why so serious? Power Rangers' first trailer ditches the kitsch

Edit The Guardian 11 Oct 2016
The US-Japanese TV show was a preposterous neon pantomime about morphing school-age ninja superheroes. So why does the new film look so angsty? ... I wrote a silly, fun, goofy retro teen action adventure movie ... Could Our Holidays Be Making Us Unhappier?

Edit Huffington Post 11 Oct 2016
That was my life in 2006, well for some of the time, but more for the holiday makers I was looking after in Mallorca. Spending a season as a holiday rep was one of the most exciting, fun and exhausting jobs I have ever done. Yes we partied and got to wake up to the Spanish sunshine every day, but dealing with people when they're on holiday is a bit like releasing animals into the wild - a little bit crazy and out of control....

Connecticut theater review: 'Meteor Shower' by Steve Martin

Edit Boston Herald 11 Oct 2016
But this loopy satire of marriage, sex and the inner id still provides lots of laughs -- and another likely staple for theaters that found success with Martin's two earlier plays ... Gordon Edelstein, whose Long Wharf production of Martin's "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" was a delight a few seasons back, again empowers a terrific cast that embraces Martin's wild, crazy and yet oh-so-familiar universe....

'Animal House,' 'The Goonies,' 'Stand By Me' get two thumbs up in '80s movies book

Edit The Oregonian 11 Oct 2016
College immediately after "Animal House" becomes a battleground between students with win-at-all-costs ambition (these students almost always looked as white and Northeastern as the Princeton crew team) and misfits eager to succeed on their own terms through silliness, loyalty, and common decency. If you look at the success stories that came out of ......
