The classically trained musician Worakls surprises with yet another high-quality two tracker for Hungry Music. He dedicates the release and track one to the electro-mechanical, polyphonic tape replay keyboard named Mellotron. The Mellotron was often used by the Beatles, Genesis and King Crimson. It became a notable instrument in progressive rock during the 1960s until the 1980s. Worakls crafts a well balanced musical piece featuring the trademark Mellotron sound, combined with a cutting-edge and warm dance groove. The orchestral atmospheric elements give ‘Mellotron’ that indescribable timeless touch that Worakls delivers so well.
Next up is the dramatic & energy filled ‘Pandemonium” composition. Worakls once again skillfully combines not only two but three musical genres and molds them into an epic dance track. The string section and diabolical brass instruments set the dramaturgical vibe, while the various layers of guitars rock their way into mayhem. The strong 4/4 beat carries the musical elements gracefully and provides full dancefloor compatibility.

The personalities Eric Robinson and David Nixon introduce us to the musical instrument the Mellotron, London.
Various shots of large country garden. L/S of swimming pool. L/S of garden with white doves on the grass. M/S of large country cottage. The narrator introduces us to the personality Eric Robinson who explains to us from his living room armchair the new instrument we are about to see which can make all the sounds of an orchestra, but can be played by one person - The Mellotron.
The camera pans as Eric walks to introduce us to his son-in-law the magician David Nixon. M/S of David Nixon seated at the Mellotron that looks very much like a piano or organ. Eric and David talk about the complexities of the machine. Then David gives a demonstration and lets rip with two fingers only to produce an awesome sound!. C/U of Nixon's hands as he twists a few knobs to add a trombone sound, and starts to play again.
M/S of Eric asking David what other rhythms the machine can play. David replies by launching into a French accordion with a Viennese waltz. C/U from inside the machinery of the Mellotron. We see the various components at work as David plays.
Finally, Eric introduces us to Geoff Unwin an expert pianist to show what the machine can really do. M/S of Geoff playing great piece of music, the Mellotron produces a variety of amazing sixties musical sounds. M/S of Geoff finishing the piece. He turns to the camera and smiles.

De passage à Paris avant de démarrer sa tournée européenne, Will "Quantic" Holland nous a fait l'immense plaisir de nous rendre visite sur le bateau. Un moment très spécial qui restera gravé dans nos mémoires.

Mellotron
The Mellotron is an electro-mechanical, polyphonic tape replay keyboard originally developed and built in Birmingham, England, in 1963. It evolved from a similar instrument, the Chamberlin, but could be mass-produced more effectively. The instrument works by pulling a section of magnetic tape across a head. Different portions of the tape can be played to access different sounds.
The original models were designed to be used in the home, and contained a variety of sounds, including automatic accompaniments. The bandleader Eric Robinson and television personality David Nixon were heavily involved in the instrument's original publicity. A number of other celebrities such as Princess Margaret were early adopters.
The Mellotron became more popular after the Beatles used it on several tracks. It was subsequently adopted by the Moody Blues, Genesis and King Crimson, and became a notable instrument in progressive rock. Later models such as the M400, the best selling model, dispensed with the accompaniments and some sound selection controls in order to be used by touring musicians. The instrument became less popular in the 1980s due to the introduction of polyphonic synthesizers and samplers, despite a number of high profile uses from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and XTC.

Sir James Paul McCartney, MBE (born 18 June 1942) is an English singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. The classically trained musician Worakls surprises with yet another high-quality two tracker for Hungry Music. He dedicates the release and track one to the electro-mechanical, polyphonic tape replay keyboard named Mellotron. The Mellotron was often used by the Beatles, Genesis and King Crimson. It became a notable instrument in progressive rock during the 1960s until the 1980s. Worakls crafts a well balanced musical piece featuring the trademark Mellotron sound, combined with a cutting-edge and warm dance groove. The orchestral atmospheric elements give ‘Mellotron’ that indescribable timeless touch that Worakls delivers so well.
Next up is the dramatic & energy filled ‘Pandemonium” composition. Worakls once again skillfully combines not only two but three musical genres and molds them into an epic dance track. The narrator introduces us to the personality Eric Robinson who explains to us from his living room armchair the new instrument we are about to see which can make all the sounds of an orchestra, but can be played by one person - The Mellotron.
The camera pans as Eric walks to introduce us to his son-in-law the magician David Nixon. M/S of David Nixon seated at the Mellotron that looks very much like a piano or organ. Eric and David talk about the complexities of the machine. Then David gives a demonstration and lets rip with two fingers only to produce an awesome sound!. C/U of Nixon's hands as he twists a few knobs to add a trombone sound, and starts to play again.
M/S of Eric asking David what other rhythms the machine can play. David replies by launching into a French accordion with a Viennese waltz. C/U from inside the machinery of the Mellotron. We see the various components at work as David plays.
Finally, Eric introduces us to Geoff Unwin an expert pianist to show what the machine can really do. M/S of Geoff playing great piece of music, the Mellotron produces a variety of amazing sixties musical sounds. M/S of Geoff finishing the piece. He turns to the camera and smiles.
