Description: "02/15/1981: At 3:00 a.m. explosion occurred in an East Indian church in Merritt, B.C. The explosion caused damage estimated at $5,000. No one was in the building at the time. Firefighters speculated that someone had thrown dynamite through a window and that the blast it created blew out the church's windows and doors. This incident was one of several attacks on the East Indian population in the area, which police suspected were committed by racist right-wing groups."
