Mark Evan Halperin (born January 11, 1965) is the senior political analyst for Time magazine, MSNBC, and Bloomberg news. He is the co-author (with John Heilemann) of Game Change and Double Down: Game Change 2012. Both Halperin and Heilemann are co-hosts of MSNBC and Bloomberg's With All Due Respect, a political analysis show.
Mark Halperin serves as a board member on the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College.
Halperin is the son of Morton Halperin, a foreign policy expert, and Ina Young. He has two brothers, David and Gary. He was born in Bethesda, Maryland, and raised in Bethesda, where he attended Walt Whitman High School. Halperin received his college degree from Harvard University in 1987.
In 1988, Halperin started out as a desk assistant for ABC News and a researcher for World News Tonight. He then worked in the investigative unit of World News Tonight and as a general assignment reporter in Washington. In 1992 he worked full-time as an off-air producer covering Bill Clinton. In 1994 Halperin became a producer with ABC's special events unit in New York and later an editorial producer.
Brian Douglas Williams (born May 5, 1959) is an American journalist best known for his ten years as anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News, the evening news program of the NBC television network. Six months after Williams joined the program in December 2004, NBC News was awarded the Peabody Award for its coverage of the Hurricane Katrina story, with the award committee stating that Williams and the NBC staff displayed the "highest levels of journalistic excellence" in their reporting. In February 2015, Williams was suspended for six months from the Nightly News for "misrepresent[ing] events which occurred while he was covering the Iraq War in 2003."
Born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Williams was reared in a "boisterous" Irish Catholic home. He is the son of Dorothy May (née Pampel) and Gordon Lewis Williams, who was an executive vice president of the National Retail Merchants Association, in New York. His mother was an amateur stage actress. Williams is the youngest of four siblings. He lived in Elmira, New York for nine years before moving to Middletown, New Jersey, when he was in junior high school.
Stephen Tyrone Colbert (/koʊlˈbɛər/, né: /ˈkoʊlbərt/; born May 13, 1964) is an American comedian, writer, producer, actor, media critic, and television host. He currently hosts the late-night television talk show The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS.
Colbert had originally studied to be an actor, but became interested in improvisational theatre when he met Second City director Del Close while attending Northwestern University. He first performed professionally as an understudy for Steve Carell at Second City Chicago; among his troupe mates were comedians Paul Dinello and Amy Sedaris, with whom he developed the sketch comedy series Exit 57. Colbert also wrote and performed on the short-lived Dana Carvey Show before collaborating with Sedaris and Dinello again on the cult television series Strangers with Candy. He gained considerable attention for his role on the latter as closeted gay history teacher Chuck Noblet. His work as a correspondent on Comedy Central's news-parody series The Daily Show first introduced him to a wide audience.

Bloomberg’s Mark Halperin singled out The New York Times in particular for it’s biased coverage of Donald Trump‘s presidential victory Thursday, saying that its post-election headline could have come straight from the satirical newspaper The Onion. “I love The New York Times. I think it’s a great institution…” Halperin said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, holding up a copy of the print version. “Look at the headline of this story.”
In this Majority Report clip, Brian Williams calls Mark Halperin out—hard—for being unrealistically, at this point in the race, pro-Trump. Halperin looks very, very sad. BRIAN WILLIAMS (HOST): Mark Halperin, to you I say this with charity in my heart as an every evening and weekly viewer. When Donald Trump complains that he is not getting favorable coverage in the MSM [mainstream media], he has not been listening to you this cycle. I think you've gone out of your way to find the path, argue for the path, forge the path for him in an argumentative way -- with your co-host -- to the nomination. Tonight I thought you were interestingly optimistic. Where are you getting the path of positivity you laid out on your broadcast tonight? MARK HALPERIN: Well it's not a question of optimism, it's a question looking at the data and looking at what's going on in the battleground states. I agree with Steve, [Clinton is] still overwhelmingly the favorite. She has many m...

Nov. 9 -- On “With All Due Respect,” Mark Halperin and John Heilemann discuss President-Elect Donald Trump’s upset victory and Hillary Clinton’s failure to hold onto the Obama coalition.
The President said what all thinking Americans know. Mark Halperin called him a "Dick." Couldn't be any clearer. Morning Joe is generally a three hour Presidential defamation campaign and Republican Confederate Candidate parade, and this is just a more explicit expression of their usual sentiment. Brian Williams Almost Makes Mark Halperin Cry
NBC’s Brian Williams basically just accused Mark Halperin of being a Trump shill on MSNBC, which is really hilarious when you think about it So the disgraced liar and former NBC Nightly News host is accusing another liberal journalist of being too optimistic about Trump? Wow. It’s not like Halperin has been saying TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP in his reporting. He’s not a Trump shill. I think he’s just trying to be fair based on the data, just like he was in 2012 when he suggested Romney would win. But according Williams, you have to be in the tank for a Hillary victory! How Shill-acious of him!
