WHAT YOU DO: An Executive Producer oversees all the different aspects of a feature film or TV production (budget, casting, crew supervision) and deals with writers, studios, and networks to make critical decisions about the production. An Executive Producer's main goal is to make a quality TV show or feature film while delivering the product on time and on (or under) budget.
EDUCATION: A college degree, not necessarily in film, makes you a more competitive job candidate.
USEFUL SKILLS: Budgeting, good reading and writing skills, flexibility, leadership skills, plus (important) patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You'll need to work hard and think outside the box to get projects done.
HOW TO GET IN: Talk to people in the film or TV industry you know, do whatever you can to meet people you don't, go to studios and production companies and find out about their internship programs. As an intern, work harder and be more available than anyone else.
CAREER PATH: Start with an internship or any low-level job in the industry. Networking and hard work can help you move up from production assistant to coordinator, to associate producer, and on to producer and executive producer jobs.
PAYBACK: Typically anywhere from $50,000-$300,000 per year.
DOWNSIDES: As an executive producer, you'll deal with an enormous amount of pressure, and you need to be able to handle difficult, passionate people and situations firmly but patiently no matter how stressed out you get.
FUTURE OF JOB: The number of jobs is expected to grow 10-19% in the 2013-2022 decade, which is average.

Executive producer
An executive producer (EP) enables the making of a commercial entertainment product. The EP may be concerned with management accounting and/or with associated legal issues (like copyrights or royalties). An EP generally contributes to the film's budget and may or may not work on set.
Motion pictures
In motion pictures, an executive producer oversees the filmmaking with regard to film finance. Executive producers liaise with the line producer and report to production companies and distributors.
Television
In television, an executive producer often supervises the creative content as well as the financial aspects of a production. Some writers (for example Stephen J. Cannell and Tina Fey) have been the creator and also the producer of the same TV show. Other dual roles may include the executive director(s) starring in the show they produce, such as Full Throttle Saloon reality TV star, Jesse James Dupree. Still other shows may have more than one executive producer working on a TV show where there can be one among them who outranks the others. This position is known as the "showrunner," or operational executive producer.

The first lady of Ruthless Records, who triumphed over a life riddled with abuse and adversity, is ready to share her story with the world. Discovered at a young age, the shy, squeaky-voiced Michel’le (Brown) was plucked straight from South Central, Los Angeles and catapulted into the spotlight while riding N.W.A.’s rocket ride of early success. Surrounded by industry visionaries from Eazy-E to Tupac Shakur, Michel’le quickly climbed the charts; but, her musical successes were soon overshadowed by betrayal and corruption. A nearly decade-long romance with the infamous Dr. Dre (Hamilton) pushed her into a life tarnished by alcohol, drugs and violence until her savior came in the unlikely form of Suge Knight (Taylor), co-founder of Death Row Records and Dre’s business partner. Friendship would turn into a courtly romance, but the union Michel’le thought they had did not end happily-ever-after. With children from both men and a career to protect, Michel’le’s voice became silenced by Compton’s biggest power players. Until now.

Discovered at a young age, the shy, squeaky-voiced Michel’le (Brown) was plucked straight from South Central, Los Angeles and catapulted into the spotlight while riding N.W.A.’s rocket ride of early success. Surrounded by industry visionaries from Eazy-E to Tupac Shakur, Michel’le quickly climbed the charts; but, her musical successes were soon overshadowed by betrayal and corruption. A nearly decade-long romance with the infamous Dr. Dre (Hamilton) pushed her into a life tarnished by alcohol, drugs and violence until her savior came in the unlikely form of Suge Knight (Taylor), co-founder of Death Row Records and Dre’s business partner. Friendship would turn into a courtly romance, but the union Michel’le thought they had did not end happily-ever-after. Synopsis
Nineteen years ago, Daniel Holden was sentenced to death for the rape and murder of his teenage girlfriend, Hanna Dean. Thanks to newly discovered DNA evidence and the efforts of hissister Amantha and lawyer Jon Stern, Daniel’s conviction has been vacated andhe’s returned to his mother Janet’s home in Paulie, Georgia. But not everyone is convinced of his innocence -- nor is his future as a free mansecure. Season Two finds Daniel committed to living in the present and making choices that prove frustrating for some of the Holden/Talbotfamily. Unfortunately, there are many places and faces in Paulie that remind Daniel of the past – his incarceration, Hanna, and his role the night of Hanna’s murder. He’s forced to the realization that he must understand and accept what really happened if he’s ever going to know any peace, a conclusion that shapes his determination to do whatever it takes to finally put his past behind him, no matter how high the price.
