Sonora (Spanish pronunciation: [soˈnoɾa]), officially Free and Sovereign State of Sonora (Spanish: Estado Libre y Soberano de Sonora), is one of 31 states that, with the Federal District, comprise the 32 federal entities of Mexico. It is divided into 72 municipalities; the capital city is Hermosillo. Sonora is located in Northwest Mexico, bordered by the states of Chihuahua to the east, Baja California to the northwest and Sinaloa to the south. To the north, it shares the U.S.–Mexico border with the states of Arizona and New Mexico, and on the west has a significant share of the coastline of the Gulf of California.
Sonora's natural geography is divided into three parts: the Sierra Madre Occidental in the east of the state; plains and rolling hills in the center; and the coast on the Gulf of California. It is primarily arid or semiarid deserts and grasslands, with only the highest elevations having sufficient rainfall to support other types of vegetation.
Sonora is home to eight indigenous peoples, including the Mayo, the Yaqui, and Seri. It has been economically important for its agriculture, livestock (especially beef), and mining since the colonial period, and for its status as a border state since the Mexican–American War. With the Gadsden Purchase, Sonora lost more than a quarter of its territory. From the 20th century to the present, industry, tourism, and agribusiness have dominated the economy, attracting migration from other parts of Mexico.

Plot: SIREN is a film noir about adultery, betrayal, greed, and murder. NED, a dying man, tells the tale in the past tense through voice-over. The story unfolds as Ned, a bank employee, sees pictures of his woman CHARLIE having sexual relations with his boss. KANESWORTH, the private investigator who took the photos, taunts him. In a fit of rage, Ned bludgeons the private eye dead. Ned quickly confronts Charlie, a manipulative femme fatale who uses sex as a bargaining chip. She convinces Ned to disregard her dalliance and persuades him to rob his bank with her instead. They rob the bank and kill his boss in the process. The couple's next step to paradise is to kill off Ned's homely and unsuspecting wife SONORA. Charlie hatches a plan to poison her at the lounge where she sings. After Ned poisons Sonora, Charlie arrives on the scene with the intention of killing Ned and running off with the loot. Ned has similar designs, which is to kill Charlie. Unbeknownst to Ned, Sonora rises from the floor gun in hand. Charlie and Sonora proceed to shoot Ned. Ned's wife and mistress are lovers who planned this outcome all along using Ned as their unwitting accomplice. As Charlie professes her love for Sonora, Sonora kills her. Ned, bleeding badly from his wounds, accepts his fate and tells Sonora the truth; she drank real poison! Sonora does not believe him and saunters away from the scene, victorious! While Ned lights his final cigarette and closes his narration, Sonora walks confidently into the night. However, after a few steps, she drops the bag of money, gasps for air, and collapses. The moonlight shines on her corpse. The bag of money left in the middle of the dark street.

Spectacular and if you love heat, the summer will please you. The Western United States has so much to offer and Arizona is full of surprises. The Sonoran Desert is a North American desert which covers large parts of the Southwestern United States in Arizona and California, and of Northwestern Mexico in Sonora, Baja California and Baja California Sur. It is the hottest desert in North America, with an area of 280,000 square kilometers (110,000 sq mi). The western portion of the United States–Mexico border passes through the Sonoran Desert. The largest city in the Sonoran Desert is Phoenix, Arizona, with a 2013 metropolitan population of about 4.3 million. Humans have been living in this desert for thousands of years. The Sonoran Desert is home to the cultures of over seventeen contemp...
Travel video about nature park Joshua Tree in the USA. Approximately two hundred and thirty kilometres east of Los Angeles and close to Palm Springs is the Joshua Tree National Park. Founded in1994 this nature preserve near to the Little San Bernardino Mountains covers an area of around two thousand square kilometres. It consists of two different types of desert. In the southern part, the Sonora Desert extends to the neighbouring state of Arizona. The northern section of the park forms part of the Mojave Desert and, being in California, is located within a cooler climatic zone a thousand metres above sea level. Even its rock can be divided into two different geological forms. The powerful, dark scree mountains are called Pinto Gneis. The distinctly bright rock of the Monzogranite is the opp...
Travel video about destination Wonderland of Nature, North America. Early in the morning, mist cloaks the deep valleys of the Grand Canyon. Soon it clears to reveal a huge, magical world. Millions of years ago, erosion and the relentless power of the Colorado River created this magnificent landscape and even today the river continues to force its way through the rock, sand and mud of the Grand Canyon. The first to discover the canyons were the Anasazi Indians who settled in the region around a thousand years ago. They hunted for food and also cultivated corn, pumpkins and beans in many of the neighbouring valleys and even today a small Indian tribe lives in a nearby canyon. For many years Monument Valley and its distinctive mesas in the northern part of Arizona have become one of the m...
Jon Baker's Guide 4 Adventure onsite in Sonora Mexico. Sonora Mexico is a great place to hunt and enjoy the great outdoors.
So much has changed in the Sonoran Desert in so little time, as recently as 100 years ago several of the dry washes were true rivers.Arizona boasts an impressive 30 or so native species of fish, unfortunately, most of the natives are disappearing with some of them virtually gone. Of Arizona’s native species, at least two-thirds are listed as Threatened or Endangered by state or United States federal agencies. A myriad of factors has resulted in their precarious position, including exotic competitors (and predators), irrigation diversion, dams, and overuse of available water by our burgeoning human population. The Metro Population of Phoenix is 4,398,762 For more than 2,000 years, the Hohokam peoples occupied the land that would become Phoenix. The Hohokam created roughly 135 miles...

This heart's been dragged around
My trust was cheated
I almost gave my soul away
Friends turned to demons
Girlfriends talked of suicide
Who do I believe in?
Wide awake, still dreaming
Reality's deceiving me
To break these chains that hold me here
I must rise and face my fears
Light a fire so I can see
This inner silence won't bury me
It's cold in this heart 'cause it's so real
There's a cold device that pumps this blood
Voices in my head are screaming
Set yourself free
From the enemy and these hollow souls
That are surrounding me
Trapped in a corner
Back up against the wall
I gotta rise before I fall
Passions race through these veins
As cold tear drops fall
Light a fire so I can see
This inner silence won't bury me
It's cold in this heart 'cause it's so real
There's a cold device that pumps this blood
This heart's been dragged around
My trust was cheated
I almost gave my soul away
