Gone Tomorrow is the thirteenth book in the Jack Reacher series written by Lee Child. It was published on 23 April 2009 in the United Kingdom and 19 May 2009 in the USA. This is one of at least five Reacher novels written in the first person.
It's 2am, and Jack Reacher is travelling on the New York City Subway. He notices a suspicious looking passenger who matches many of the specifications for a potential suicide bomber. When he approaches her with an offer of assistance she abruptly terminates herself in a decidedly indecorous manner.
NYPD are eager to close the file without investigating the tragedy, but Reacher has other ideas. He wants to know what happened that night, and, more importantly, why. Is everyone as honest as they claim to be? And if so, then why are there so many questions to be asked and avoided?
Reacher is repeatedly and emphatically warned off the case, but his guilt over possibly triggering the poor woman's suicide won't let him rest until he has pursued the mystery all the way to the very end. In a world gone grey with moral and ethical relativism only Jack Reacher stubbornly sticks to his high standards no matter what the personal cost.
King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow is the sixth installment in the King's Quest series of adventure games produced by Sierra On-Line. Written by Roberta Williams and Jane Jensen, King's Quest VI is widely recognized as the high point in the series for its in-depth plot, landmark 3D graphic introduction movie (created by Kronos Digital Entertainment), and professional voice acting (Hollywood actor Robby Benson provided the voice for Prince Alexander, the game's protagonist). King's Quest VI was programmed in Sierra's Creative Interpreter and was the last King's Quest game to be released on floppy disk. A CD-ROM version of the game was released in 1993, including more character voices, a slightly different opening movie and more detailed artwork and animation.
The name of this sequel is a pun on the common phrase "here today, gone tomorrow". This pun is related to the abrupt departure of Prince Alexander after the events of King's Quest V, where he was just rescued by King Graham along with Princess Cassima, who asked Alexander to come visit her at the end of that game. King's Quest III: To Heir Is Human also contained the word "heir" in its title and also featured Prince Alexander (then known as the slave Gwydion) as the main character.
King's Quest is a graphic adventure game series created by the American software company Sierra Entertainment. It is widely considered a classic series from the golden era of adventure games. Following the success of its first installment, the series was primarily responsible for building the reputation of Sierra. Roberta Williams, co-founder and former co-owner of Sierra, designed all of the King's Quest games. The first game was released in 1984, and the latest in 2015.
The King's Quest series chronicles the saga of the royal family of the Kingdom of Daventry through their various trials and adventures. The story takes place over two generations and across many lands.
The world of King's Quest encompasses many different kingdoms and supernatural realms. Technologically, the series pioneered the use of animation and pseudo-3D environments in graphic adventure games, so that the main character could, for example, walk behind objects on-screen.
The main characters in the series are King Graham, originally a knight of Daventry who won the throne of the kingdom through questing, and members of his family: his wife Queen Valanice and his twin son and daughter, Prince Alexander and Princess Rosella. The exception is King's Quest: Mask of Eternity, where the protagonist is Connor of Daventry, a tanner (and a knight like Graham from the first game) from the Kingdom of Daventry who is unrelated to the royal family although in the opening sequence there is a brief moment where King Graham is shown and Connor later visits Castle Daventry and sees the King's statue form, and is later shown restored in the ending.
In mythology and literature, a quest, a journey towards a goal, serves as a plot device and (frequently) as a symbol. Quests appear in the folklore of every nation and also figure prominently in non-national cultures. In literature, the objects of quests require great exertion on the part of the hero, and the overcoming of many obstacles, typically including much travel. The aspect of travel also allows the storyteller to showcase exotic locations and cultures (an objective of the narrator, not of the character).
The hero normally aims to obtain something or someone by the quest, and with this object to return home. The object can be something new, that fulfills a lack in his life, or something that was stolen away from him or someone with authority to dispatch him.
Sometimes the hero has no desire to return; Sir Galahad's quest for the Holy Grail is to find it, not return with it. A return may, indeed, be impossible: Aeneas quests for a homeland, having lost Troy at the beginning of Virgil's Aeneid, and he does not return to Troy to re-found it but settles in Italy (to become an ancestor of the Romans).

Welcome to my playthrough of "King's Quest VI"! This obviously isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I have other stuff in the works for this week. Couple of corrections I'd like to make - In the video, I claimed this was the "Extended" version of the game. I meant "Enhanced." I also said that the graphics were mind-blowing for 1994, but this game was actually released in 1992. I dunno why I'm wasting time saying that stuff, I just hate getting "corrected" in the comments. Anyway, hope you enjoy! Remember to Like this video! Thanks guys! Here is the link to download the DOSBox version of the game from GOG: DOSBox Version Download: http://www.gog.com/game/kings_quest_4_5_6 ($10) And here is a link to what I used to get the "Enhanced" version to work on Windows 7, straight from my...
Playthrough for King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow. There are two separate routes and endings and both are shown in this playthrough. The alternative ending is shown after the credits have ended for the first time.
A complete playthrough of the 1993 DOS CD version of Sierra Online's graphic adventure game, King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow. This playthrough shows the best ending (though not quite a perfect score), and is running the DOS VGA version (as opposed to the Windows 3.1 version with the really ugly higher resolution sprites pasted over the original VGA resolution backgrounds). Make sure you don't miss the game's radio-aired single "Girl in the Tower" playing during the credits. It's quite a doozy. As corny as it is, you can't argue with it's production value, nor can you really fault it for how much it screams "OMG early 1990s soft rock in a computer game!" ...if there are any people that would scream such a thing. The rest of the game's music is pretty fantastic too. __________...

After a lot of lollygagging and procrastinating here is the end product of my efforts; all the deaths that I know about in Kings Quest VI. (As a side note there are more deaths from falling on the Cliffs of Logic, AND in the catacombs. There are 7 more death pits in the catacombs, and more falls than were worth counting. All in all there are 50+ deaths here. Including variants, based on timing, (sometimes place) and other variables.
Tormented day and night by the thought of the lovely Princess Cassima, former captive of the late wizard Mordack, Prince Alexander sets off to find the Land of the Green Isles in the hopes of being reunited with her. Along the way, his hopes, along with his ship, are dashed upon the jagged rocks of an unknown land, leaving him stranded and alone.....

If you can't expect to take some blame,
You should fucken know you aint that perfect!
Sorry that it had to end this way,
Now i guess you're looking for an answer!
If we're not gone tomorrow,
this might end up in sorrow.
Those dreams, had passed you long ago,
Those dreams had passed, you long ago.
Could've just moved into my place,
But you wanted me to sell the sucker.
This is not the way its meant to rage,
You could've found another reject! (yeah)
