Wie verhalte ich mich bei einem Amoklauf oder Terrorangriff.
1. FLÜCHTE !
WENN EIN AKTIVER SCHÜTZE IN DEINER NÄHE IST:
·Gibt es einen Fluchtweg, RENN und
versuche zu FLÜCHTEN
· Versuche zu Evakuieren ob jemand mit
will oder nicht.
· Lasse all deine Sachen zurück.
· Helfe anderen zu entkommen, wenn möglich.
. Halte deine Hände gut sichtbar bei der Flucht.
· Verhindere das andere den Bereich betreten.
· Rufe die Polizei wenn Du sicher bist.
. Versuche wichtige Informationen weiterzugeben.
2. VERSTECKEN !
Wenn eine Evakuierung nicht möglich ist, finde einen
Platz, um Dich zu verstecken.
· Zuschließen und / oder Blockade der Tür.
· Handy stumm schalten und versuchen die Polizei
zu verständigen.
· Licht ausschalten
· Kontrolliere deine Angst und bleibe ruhig.
Dein Versteck sollte:
· Aus dem Sichtfeld des Schützen sein.
· Hindernisse aufbauen zum Schutz gegen die
Geschosse.
· Versuche es dem Täter so schwer wie möglich
zu machen.
3. KÄMPFEN !
Als letzten Ausweg, und NUR, wenn Dein Leben
in Gefahr ist:
· Versuche, den oder die Schützen außer
Gefecht zu setzen.
· Handel überraschend, schnell und mit ALLER
körperlicher Aggression.
· Suche Dinge die Du als Waffe benutzen kannst.
· Seit ihr mehrere Personen sprecht eure Aktion ab.
Greift als Gruppe an und kämpft um euer Leben.
. Gemeinsam seid ihr STARK !
WICHTIG BEIM EINTREFFEN DER POLIZEI !
• BLEIBE RUHIG UND FOLGE DEN ANWEISUNGEN.
• HALTE KEINE GEGENSTÄNDE IN DEINEN HÄNDEN.

Einen Amoklauf oder Terrorangriff können wir selten verhindern.
Das was wir aber dagegen tun können ist, das wir unsere Wahrnehmung verändern und das wir uns darüber im Klaren sind, das wir nicht mehr in einer sicheren Welt leben.
Wir sollen uns nicht verstecken oder paranoit werden, es reicht oft schon wenn wir einfach unsere Umwelt anders wahrnehmen.
Das wenn wir Räume betreten, sei es ein Kaffee, eine Bar, einen Club oder ein Konzertsaal, das wir als erstes schauen wie komme ich hier auch schnell wieder raus, wenn etwas passiert wohin kann ich flüchten oder mich verstecken, gibt es dort Dinge die ich zum Schutz oder sogar als Waffe benutzen kann.
Und glauben Sie mir, gewusst wie, kann alles in ihrer Hand zu einer Waffe werden.
Was auch hilft ist es, im Kopf szenarien durch zu spielen, was wäre wenn all das erleichtert unser Handeln und unsere Endscheidungen in einem Extremfall.
Die Gefahr früh genug zu erkennen, das kann uns wertvolle Sekunden verschaffen, um unser Leben zu retten.
Heute, egal wo auf der Welt, müssen wir Aufmerksam und Wachsam sein das sind die Eigenschaften, welche uns in den schlimmsten Fällen helfen können.
Wir können heute Handlungen von Personen nicht mehr ignorieren, wenn Du etwas siehst dann sage auch etwas.

Mit seinem neuen Film hält der französische Filmemacher Philippe Borrel ein Plädoyer für die „Entschleunigung“ des Lebens.
„Wir steuern sehenden Auges auf Katastrophen zu, ohne dass das unseren Alltag stört. Niemand denkt an den Zeitdruck, unter dem wir ständig stehen. Ein Selbstmörder weiß wenigstens, dass er sich umbringen will, aber wir liefern uns ein selbstmörderisches Rennen, ohne das überhaupt zu wissen!“ Diese aufrüttelnden Worte des französischen Soziologen Edgar Morin sind der Auftakt zu einem Dokumentarfilm des französischen Regisseurs Philippe Borrel, dessen Inhalt vielen von uns aus der Seele spricht – und allen anderen zu denken geben sollte!
Die Kernfrage des Streifens „Schluss mit schnell!“ lautet: Was haben wir Menschen eigentlich aus der Zeit gemacht? Sie scheint sich der unkontrollierten Entwicklung von Wissenschaft und Technik und dem allgemeinen Diktat von Wirtschaft und Finanzwesen untergeordnet zu haben. Wir leben längst in einer Ära der Hochgeschwindigkeit, in der die Unverzüglichkeit zur Norm geworden ist.
Die globalisierte, weltumspannende Beschleunigung hat jeden von uns im Würgegriff und setzt uns unter einen permanenten Zeitdruck, sodass wir nur noch verzweifelt danach streben, alles immer schneller, effizienter und rentabler zu machen. Und welchen Preis zahlen wir dafür? Durch den wachsenden Zeitdruck steuert unsere Gesellschaft auf eine wirtschaftliche, ökologische und nicht zuletzt soziale Katastrophe zu!
Ganz ohne Widerspruch wird diese besorgniserregende Entwicklung allerdings nicht hingenommen, denn es gibt eine Gegenbewegung, der sich immer mehr Frauen und Männer anschließen! In aller Welt weigern sich Menschen, sich dem allgegenwärtigen Stress zu unterwerfen, und sind fest entschlossen, sich dem kompromisslosen Diktat der Dringlichkeit auf einem Planeten zu widersetzen, dessen Ressourcen begrenzt sind!
Ode an ein selbstbestimmtes Dasein
Egal, ob in Europa, den USA, Lateinamerika oder Indien: Überall gibt es Initiativen, die nach alternativen Wegen suchen, um zu einem vernünftigen Umgang mit der Zeit zurückzukehren und dem Leben wieder Sinn und Würde zurückzugeben. In „Schluss mit schnell!“ stellt Philippe Borrel einige dieser modernen Rebellen vor, die sich bemühen, eine vernünftigere Beziehung zur Zeit herzustellen und einen humaneren Rhythmus vorzuleben.
Dazu gehören etwa die behutsamen Versuche einer Entglobalisierung, wie sie die Städte Bristol und Romans-sur-Isère unternehmen, indem sie eine alternative Währung eingeführt haben, die das Alltagsleben wieder lokaler machen soll. Einen ähnlichen Weg geht man im amerikanischen Ithaca, wo Landwirtschafts- und Kreditgenossenschaften die Wirtschaft bewusst lokal verankert haben. Ein anderes Beispiel ist das indische Barefoot College, das Tausende von Frauen aus ländlichen Regionen in der Produktion von Solartechnik schult.
Beispiele wie diese dienen als Gegenmodell zum globalen Wettlauf um die Zeit und können sehr wohl als Vorbilder dienen, wie die Welt von morgen auch aussehen könnte. Sie verkörpern die praktische Umsetzung kritischer Analysen von Philosophen, Soziologen und Ökonomen wie Bunker Roy, Rob Hopkins, Pierre Dardot oder Geneviève Azam.
Damit ist „Schluss mit schnell“ nicht nur eine Dokumentation über Menschen, die sich auf unterschiedliche Weise dem globalen Trend einer hemmungslosen Beschleunigung entziehen wollen, sondern auch ein Plädoyer für ein selbstbestimmtes Leben und eine Ode an ein bewussteres und achtsameres Dasein …

Prof. Dr. Julia Thom-Levy berichtet von der Planung, der Entwicklung und dem Bau der Detektoren, an denen Hunderte von Physikern, Ingenieuren und Technikern seit Jahrzehnten arbeiten.
Julia Thom-Levy studierte Physik in Hamburg und am Deutschen Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) sowie am Stanford Linear Accelerator Center in Kalifornien. Nach Stationen am Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory bei Chicago und am CERN ist sie seit 2005 Professorin für Physik an der Cornell University. Bunker Roy
Sanjit "Bunker" Roy (born 2 August 1945) is an Indian social activist and educator who founded the Barefoot College. He was selected as one of Time 100's 100 most influential personalities in 2010 for his work in educating illiterate and semi literate rural Indians.
Early life
He attended The Doon School from 1956 to 1962, and St. Stephen's College, Delhi from 1962 to 1967.
Roy was the National Runner-up in squash in 1964, and participated in three world squash championships representing India.
In 1970, he married Aruna Roy.
Barefoot College
Bunker is a founder of what is now called Barefoot College. After conducting a survey of water supplies in 100 drought prone areas, Roy established the Social Work and Research Centre in 1972. Its mission soon changed from a focus on water and irrigation to empowerment and sustainability. The programs focused on siting water pumps near villages and training the local population to maintain them without dependence on outside mechanics, providing training as paramedics for local medical treatment, and on solar power to decrease dependence and time spent on kerosene lighting.

Roger Cicero
Roger Marcel Cicero Ciceu (born July 6, 1970 in Berlin) is a German jazz and pop musician and the son of the Romanian pianist Eugen Cicero.
Biography
He made his first appearance at the age of eleven supporting German singer Helen Vita. He appeared on television for the first time aged 16, alongside the RIAS-Tanzorchester, then under the direction of Horst Jankowski. Cicero joined the Hohner Conservatory in Trossingen when he was 18, where he received coaching in piano, guitar and singing. Between 1989 and 1992, he appeared alongside the Horst Jankowski Trio, the Eugen Cicero Trio (his father’s group) as well as with the Bundesjugendjazzorchester (German Youth Jazz Orchestra), which was then directed by Peter Herbolzheimer. From 1991 to 1996, he studied jazz singing at the Amsterdam Academy of Arts (Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten) at Hilversum. Since then, he has been a guest singer with the groups Jazzkantine and Soulounge with whom he took part in the Montreux Jazz Festival. In 2003, he founded the Roger Cicero Quartet, as well as continuing to perform with his eleven-piece big band. His style is predominantly that of 1940s and 1950s swing music, combined with German lyrics.

Sie scheint sich der unkontrollierten Entwicklung von Wissenschaft und Technik und dem allgemeinen Diktat von Wirtschaft und Finanzwesen untergeordnet zu haben. Wir leben längst in einer Ära der Hochgeschwindigkeit, in der die Unverzüglichkeit zur Norm geworden ist. Die globalisierte, weltumspannende Beschleunigung hat jeden von uns im Würgegriff und setzt uns unter einen permanenten Zeitdruck, sodass wir nur noch verzweifelt danach streben, alles immer schneller, effizienter und rentabler zu machen. Und welchen Preis zahlen wir dafür? Durch den wachsenden Zeitdruck steuert unsere Gesellschaft auf eine wirtschaftliche, ökologische und nicht zuletzt soziale Katastrophe zu! Ganz ohne Widerspruch wird diese besorgniserregende Entwicklung allerdings nicht hingenommen, denn es gibt eine Gegenbewegung, der sich immer mehr Frauen und Männer anschließen! In aller Welt weigern sich Menschen, sich dem allgegenwärtigen Stress zu unterwerfen, und sind fest entschlossen, sich dem kompromisslosen Diktat der Dringlichkeit auf einem Planeten zu widersetzen, dessen Ressourcen begrenzt sind! Ode an ein selbstbestimmtes Dasein Egal, ob in Europa, den USA, Lateinamerika oder Indien: Überall gibt es Initiativen, die nach alternativen Wegen suchen, um zu einem vernünftigen Umgang mit der Zeit zurückzukehren und dem Leben wieder Sinn und Würde zurückzugeben. Beispiele wie diese dienen als Gegenmodell zum globalen Wettlauf um die Zeit und können sehr wohl als Vorbilder dienen, wie die Welt von morgen auch aussehen könnte. Sie verkörpern die praktische Umsetzung kritischer Analysen von Philosophen, Soziologen und Ökonomen wie Bunker Roy, Rob Hopkins, Pierre Dardot oder Geneviève Azam. Die Teilchendetektoren, mit denen 2013 am CERN in Genf das Higgs Boson entdeckt wurde, zeichnen sich durch ungewöhnliche Komplexität, enormen Einfallsreichtum und, man könnte sogar sagen, Schönheit aus. Technologien, die uns auch in anderen Zusammenhängen, zum Beispiel in der Telekommunikation und der Halbleiterphysik, bekannt sind, werden benutzt, um mit diesen riesengroßen Apparaturen die winzigsten Teilchen sichtbar zu machen. Prof. Dr. Julia Thom-Levy berichtet von der Planung, der Entwicklung und dem Bau der Detektoren, an denen Hunderte von Physikern, Ingenieuren und Technikern seit Jahrzehnten arbeiten. Julia Thom-Levy studierte Physik in Hamburg und am Deutschen Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) sowie am Stanford Linear Accelerator Center in Kalifornien. Nach Stationen am Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory bei Chicago und am CERN ist sie seit 2005 Professorin für Physik an der Cornell University. Sie arbeitet mit ihrem Team an Datenanalyse und der Entwicklung strahlenharter Halbleiterdetektoren. Der Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Julia Thom-Levy beginnt bei Minute 7:30. Einen Amoklauf oder Terrorangriff können wir selten verhindern.
Das was wir aber dagegen tun können ist, das wir unsere Wahrnehmung verändern und das wir uns darüber im Klaren sind, das wir nicht mehr in einer sicheren Welt leben.
Wir sollen uns nicht verstecken oder paranoit werden, es reicht oft schon wenn wir einfach unsere Umwelt anders wahrnehmen.
Das wenn wir Räume betreten, sei es ein Kaffee, eine Bar, einen Club oder ein Konzertsaal, das wir als erstes schauen wie komme ich hier auch schnell wieder raus, wenn etwas passiert wohin kann ich flüchten oder mich verstecken, gibt es dort Dinge die ich zum Schutz oder sogar als Waffe benutzen kann.
Und glauben Sie mir, gewusst wie, kann alles in ihrer Hand zu einer Waffe werden.
Was auch hilft ist es, im Kopf szenarien durch zu spielen, was wäre wenn all das erleichtert unser Handeln und unsere Endscheidungen in einem Extremfall.
Die Gefahr früh genug zu erkennen, das kann uns wertvolle Sekunden verschaffen, um unser Leben zu retten.
Heute, egal wo auf der Welt, müssen wir Aufmerksam und Wachsam sein das sind die Eigenschaften, welche uns in den schlimmsten Fällen helfen können.
Wir können heute Handlungen von Personen nicht mehr ignorieren, wenn Du etwas siehst dann sage auch etwas.

Das wenn wir Räume betreten, sei es ein Kaffee, eine Bar, einen Club oder ein Konzertsaal, das wir als erstes schauen wie komme ich hier auch schnell wieder raus, wenn etwas passiert wohin kann ich flüchten oder mich verstecken, gibt es dort Dinge die ich zum Schutz oder sogar als Waffe benutzen kann.
Und glauben Sie mir, gewusst wie, kann alles in ihrer Hand zu einer Waffe werden.
Was auch hilft ist es, im Kopf szenarien durch zu spielen, was wäre wenn all das erleichtert unser Handeln und unsere Endscheidungen in einem Extremfall.
Die Gefahr früh genug zu erkennen, das kann uns wertvolle Sekunden verschaffen, um unser Leben zu retten.
Heute, egal wo auf der Welt, müssen wir Aufmerksam und Wachsam sein das sind die Eigenschaften, welche uns in den schlimmsten Fällen helfen können.
Wir können heute Handlungen von Personen nicht mehr ignorieren, wenn Du etwas siehst dann sage auch etwas.

Ganz ohne Widerspruch wird diese besorgniserregende Entwicklung allerdings nicht hingenommen, denn es gibt eine Gegenbewegung, der sich immer mehr Frauen und Männer anschließen! In aller Welt weigern sich Menschen, sich dem allgegenwärtigen Stress zu unterwerfen, und sind fest entschlossen, sich dem kompromisslosen Diktat der Dringlichkeit auf einem Planeten zu widersetzen, dessen Ressourcen begrenzt sind!

Egal, ob in Europa, den USA, Lateinamerika oder Indien: Überall gibt es Initiativen, die nach alternativen Wegen suchen, um zu einem vernünftigen Umgang mit der Zeit zurückzukehren und dem Leben wieder Sinn und Würde zurückzugeben. In „Schluss mit schnell!“ stellt Philippe Borrel einige dieser modernen Rebellen vor, die sich bemühen, eine vernünftigere Beziehung zur Zeit herzustellen und einen humaneren Rhythmus vorzuleben.

Technologien, die uns auch in anderen Zusammenhängen, zum Beispiel in der Telekommunikation und der Halbleiterphysik, bekannt sind, werden benutzt, um mit diesen riesengroßen Apparaturen die winzigsten Teilchen sichtbar zu machen. Prof. Dr. Julia Thom-Levy berichtet von der Planung, der Entwicklung und dem Bau der Detektoren, an denen Hunderte von Physikern, Ingenieuren und Technikern seit Jahrzehnten arbeiten.
Julia Thom-Levy studierte Physik in Hamburg und am Deutschen Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) sowie am Stanford Linear Accelerator Center in Kalifornien. Nach Stationen am Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory bei Chicago und am CERN ist sie seit 2005 Professorin für Physik an der Cornell University. Sie arbeitet mit ihrem Team an Datenanalyse und der Entwicklung strahlenharter Halbleiterdetektoren.

Recently we had the opportunity to visit Europa-Park, the largest theme park in Germany and second most popular theme resort in all of Europe.
This was the perfect opportunity for us to rekindle our childhood passion for rides. With over eleven different roller coasters alone we quickly realized we had never been to such a big theme park.
What we found cool was that the theme park was divided into different European countries. If you can't visit all of Europe going to Europa Park is like getting little slivers of it all.
Accommodating up to 50,000 guests per day, we were fortunate we didn't come during peak season; however, it was still crowded.
Overall, the weather was perfect, the rides were fun and it is an experience we won't forget anytime soon.
This is a bit of a surprise. We have an eight hour wait for a flight in Frankfurt, so instead of just hanging around in the airport, which was our original plan, we decided to drop our bags off and come into the city.
That pretty much wraps up our little visit to Frankfurt. We spent maybe three or four hours just walking around and it was really nice to just see the city without much of an agenda.
I came here with quite low expectations to be perfectly honest. I had heard more or less this is just a financial hub but it ended up being quite charming here in Frankfurt and I'm definitely going to miss Germany. I've had a wonderful time traveling around the country.
We aren't having much luck with the weather today. It is really rainy here in Freiburg. It is Easter weekend but we are out an exploring and we want to show you the city. Let's go have a tour.
One of my first impressions of Freiburg is that it is such a great city to walk around in. That's all we've been doing so far. It's very picturesque. There are cobbled streets and it is also very historic.
Thankfully, the weather has shifted dramatically for the better. Earlier we had been rained out, so we had to head back into the hotel because it was cold and windy. Now we're seeing a few patches of blue skies, so we're going to keep exploring around Freiburg.

The episcopal city of Passau nestles between hills at the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz. High above the rivers and strategically perched on a rock is the castle complex of Veste Oberhaus, imposing and impregnable. The salt trade enriched the town and Italian baroque masters were allowed to create the cityscape of the historic old town. Beginning in Würzburg On The Main, the Romantic Road leads to various well known historic cities, castles and palaces. Between 1642 and the middle of the eighteenth century, three prince-bishops gave the city its Baroque architecture and also the castle known as The Residence. Nuremberg is the ‘secret capital’ of German Franconia and ‘treasure trove of the German Reich’, the epitome of German romanticism and tradition with a long history and also bitter memories of quite recent times. An Imperial City which indeed became the City Of Party Rallies but which has never lost its benevolent spirit. Dresden is the capital of the German free state of Saxony, a major centre of culture with a remarkable history. Although almost completely destroyed at the end of the Second World War and for many years hidden behind the Iron Curtain, today the city shines out in all of its former splendour. Hamburg is a lively metropolis in the north of Germany and for many centuries was a gateway to the world and a work of art with many different faces. Last month, I went to Germany alone. I entered the country as lonely as a solo traveler could be. I ate alone, drank alone, and walked alone. But along the way, I met people, made new friends and rekindled old ones. By the time I left the country, I was no longer alone.
I had the opportunity to be hosted by several German friends around the country, I partied with them, drink with them, and hung out with them. I experienced the alternative culture in Berlin. I lost my bag in Cologne (http://blog.bucketlistly.com/post/132467427542/bag-stolen-germany-cologne). I celebrated my Birthday with a Pool match and a rap battle concert in Dresden. It was a hell of a ride.
As the saying goes, "Happiness is only real when shared". We, humans are social animals. No matter how independent we are, at the end of the day, we need our friends.. and good friends are everywhere if you know where to find them.
This is what I experienced in Germany. Enjoy.

"just another travel video" is my graduation film from university and took almost three weeks of shooting in jordan (amman, aqaba, dead sea, red sea, wadi rum, petra) and germany (mainz, saarbrücken). the video editing was done in 2 weeks using pp cc (cut and grading). i do highly recommend jordan for a visit; you will enjoy your stay.

travel video - went to some beautiful places in jordan and met new and old friends on my way. "just another travel video" is my graduation film from university and took almost three weeks of shooting in jordan (amman, aqaba, dead sea, red sea, wadi rum, petra) and germany (mainz, saarbrücken). the video editing was done in 2 weeks using pp cc (cut and grading). i do highly recommend jordan for a visit; you will enjoy your stay.

When you come study abroad and will live in another city it is always an exciting challenge. It’s a new culture, you get a lot of input and try to soak as much in of everything around you as possible to take these experiences home with you.
As students of the Köln International School of Design (Cologne, Germany) we recognized that many incoming students enjoy studying here, but often it takes a while to find the exciting things the city has to offer. By the end of the semester, when they leave again, they often just settled in and found their favorite spots.
We wanted to change this situation for the better and provide a meaningfull, helpfull tool to introduce this great city in a playfull way. The outcome is a guide book to Cologne that, in 60 pages, gives an overview about culture, food, nightlife and provides answers to questions like "What to do on Sundays?" since stores are closed in Germany. All information comes directly from former and current students and therefore provides an unique perspective.
The guide is focused on international students but also offers exciting tips and recommendations for locals that want to explore their city in a fresh way and is now freely distributed by the Cologne Faculty of Applied Sciences to all arriving international students.

Einen Amoklauf oder Terrorangriff können wir selten verhindern.
Das was wir aber dagegen tun können ist, das wir unsere Wahrnehmung verändern und das wir uns darüber im Klaren sind, das wir nicht mehr in einer sicheren Welt leben.
Wir sollen uns nicht verstecken oder paranoit werden, es reicht oft schon wenn wir einfach unsere Umwelt anders wahrnehmen.
Das wenn wir Räume betreten, sei es ein Kaffee, eine Bar, einen Club oder ein Konzertsaal, das wir als erstes schauen wie komme ich hier auch schnell wieder raus, wenn etwas passiert wohin kann ich flüchten oder mich verstecken, gibt es dort Dinge die ich zum Schutz oder sogar als Waffe benutzen kann.
Und glauben Sie mir, gewusst wie, kann alles in ihrer Hand zu einer Waffe werden.
Was auch hilft ist es, im Kopf szenarien durch zu spielen, was wäre wenn all das erleichtert unser Handeln und unsere Endscheidungen in einem Extremfall.
Die Gefahr früh genug zu erkennen, das kann uns wertvolle Sekunden verschaffen, um unser Leben zu retten.
Heute, egal wo auf der Welt, müssen wir Aufmerksam und Wachsam sein das sind die Eigenschaften, welche uns in den schlimmsten Fällen helfen können.

Die Kernfrage des Streifens „Schluss mit schnell!“ lautet: Was haben wir Menschen eigentlich aus der Zeit gemacht? Sie scheint sich der unkontrollierten Entwicklung von Wissenschaft und Technik und dem allgemeinen Diktat von Wirtschaft und Finanzwesen untergeordnet zu haben. Wir leben längst in einer Ära der Hochgeschwindigkeit, in der die Unverzüglichkeit zur Norm geworden ist.
Die globalisierte, weltumspannende Beschleunigung hat jeden von uns im Würgegriff und setzt uns unter einen permanenten Zeitdruck, sodass wir nur noch verzweifelt danach streben, alles immer schneller, effizienter und rentabler zu machen. Und welchen Preis zahlen wir dafür? Durch den wachsenden Zeitdruck steuert unsere Gesellschaft auf eine wirtschaftliche, ökologische und nicht zuletzt soziale Katastrophe zu!
Ganz ohne Widerspruch wird diese besorgniserregende Entwicklung allerdings nicht hingenommen, denn es gibt eine Gegenbewegung, der sich immer mehr Frauen und Männer anschließen! In aller Welt weigern sich Menschen, sich dem allgegenwärtigen Stress zu unterwerfen, und sind fest entschlossen, sich dem kompromisslosen Diktat der Dringlichkeit auf einem Planeten zu widersetzen, dessen Ressourcen begrenzt sind!
Ode an ein selbstbestimmtes Dasein
Egal, ob in Europa, den USA, Lateinamerika oder Indien: Überall gibt es Initiativen, die nach alternativen Wegen suchen, um zu einem vernünftigen Umgang mit der Zeit zurückzukehren und dem Leben wieder Sinn und Würde zurückzugeben. In „Schluss mit schnell!“ stellt Philippe Borrel einige dieser modernen Rebellen vor, die sich bemühen, eine vernünftigere Beziehung zur Zeit herzustellen und einen humaneren Rhythmus vorzuleben.
Dazu gehören etwa die behutsamen Versuche einer Entglobalisierung, wie sie die Städte Bristol und Romans-sur-Isère unternehmen, indem sie eine alternative Währung eingeführt haben, die das Alltagsleben wieder lokaler machen soll. Einen ähnlichen Weg geht man im amerikanischen Ithaca, wo Landwirtschafts- und Kreditgenossenschaften die Wirtschaft bewusst lokal verankert haben. Ein anderes Beispiel ist das indische Barefoot College, das Tausende von Frauen aus ländlichen Regionen in der Produktion von Solartechnik schult.
Beispiele wie diese dienen als Gegenmodell zum globalen Wettlauf um die Zeit und können sehr wohl als Vorbilder dienen, wie die Welt von morgen auch aussehen könnte. Sie verkörpern die praktische Umsetzung kritischer Analysen von Philosophen, Soziologen und Ökonomen wie Bunker Roy, Rob Hopkins, Pierre Dardot oder Geneviève Azam.

Mit seinem neuen Film hält der französische Filmemacher Philippe Borrel ein Plädoyer für die „Entschleunigung“ des Lebens.
„Wir steuern sehenden Auges auf Katastrophen zu, ohne dass das unseren Alltag stört. Niemand denkt an den Zeitdruck, unter dem wir ständig stehen. Ein Selbstmörder weiß wenigstens, dass er sich umbringen will, aber wir liefern uns ein selbstmörderisches Rennen, ohne das überhaupt zu wissen!“ Diese aufrüttelnden Worte des französischen Soziologen Edgar Morin sind der Auftakt zu einem Dokumentarfilm des französischen Regisseurs Philippe Borrel, dessen Inhalt vielen von uns aus der Seele spricht – und allen anderen zu denken geben sollte!
Die Kernfrage des Streifens „Schluss mit schnell!“ lautet: Was haben wir Menschen eigentlich aus der Zeit gemacht? Sie scheint sich der unkontrollierten Entwicklung von Wissenschaft und Technik und dem allgemeinen Diktat von Wirtschaft und Finanzwesen untergeordnet zu haben. Wir leben längst in einer Ära der Hochgeschwindigkeit, in der die Unverzüglichkeit zur Norm geworden ist.
Die globalisierte, weltumspannende Beschleunigung hat jeden von uns im Würgegriff und setzt uns unter einen permanenten Zeitdruck, sodass wir nur noch verzweifelt danach streben, alles immer schneller, effizienter und rentabler zu machen. Und welchen Preis zahlen wir dafür? Durch den wachsenden Zeitdruck steuert unsere Gesellschaft auf eine wirtschaftliche, ökologische und nicht zuletzt soziale Katastrophe zu!
Ganz ohne Widerspruch wird diese besorgniserregende Entwicklung allerdings nicht hingenommen, denn es gibt eine Gegenbewegung, der sich immer mehr Frauen und Männer anschließen! In aller Welt weigern sich Menschen, sich dem allgegenwärtigen Stress zu unterwerfen, und sind fest entschlossen, sich dem kompromisslosen Diktat der Dringlichkeit auf einem Planeten zu widersetzen, dessen Ressourcen begrenzt sind!
Ode an ein selbstbestimmtes Dasein
Egal, ob in Europa, den USA, Lateinamerika oder Indien: Überall gibt es Initiativen, die nach alternativen Wegen suchen, um zu einem vernünftigen Umgang mit der Zeit zurückzukehren und dem Leben wieder Sinn und Würde zurückzugeben. In „Schluss mit schnell!“ stellt Philippe Borrel einige dieser modernen Rebellen vor, die sich bemühen, eine vernünftigere Beziehung zur Zeit herzustellen und einen humaneren Rhythmus vorzuleben.
Dazu gehören etwa die behutsamen Versuche einer Entglobalisierung, wie sie die Städte Bristol und Romans-sur-Isère unternehmen, indem sie eine alternative Währung eingeführt haben, die das Alltagsleben wieder lokaler machen soll. Einen ähnlichen Weg geht man im amerikanischen Ithaca, wo Landwirtschafts- und Kreditgenossenschaften die Wirtschaft bewusst lokal verankert haben. Ein anderes Beispiel ist das indische Barefoot College, das Tausende von Frauen aus ländlichen Regionen in der Produktion von Solartechnik schult.
Beispiele wie diese dienen als Gegenmodell zum globalen Wettlauf um die Zeit und können sehr wohl als Vorbilder dienen, wie die Welt von morgen auch aussehen könnte. Sie verkörpern die praktische Umsetzung kritischer Analysen von Philosophen, Soziologen und Ökonomen wie Bunker Roy, Rob Hopkins, Pierre Dardot oder Geneviève Azam.

Technologien, die uns auch in anderen Zusammenhängen, zum Beispiel in der Telekommunikation und der Halbleiterphysik, bekannt sind, werden benutzt, um mit diesen riesengroßen Apparaturen die winzigsten Teilchen sichtbar zu machen. Prof. Dr. Julia Thom-Levy berichtet von der Planung, der Entwicklung und dem Bau der Detektoren, an denen Hunderte von Physikern, Ingenieuren und Technikern seit Jahrzehnten arbeiten.
Julia Thom-Levy studierte Physik in Hamburg und am Deutschen Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) sowie am Stanford Linear Accelerator Center in Kalifornien. Nach Stationen am Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory bei Chicago und am CERN ist sie seit 2005 Professorin für Physik an der Cornell University. Sie arbeitet mit ihrem Team an Datenanalyse und der Entwicklung strahlenharter Halbleiterdetektoren.
Der Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Julia Thom-Levy beginnt bei Minute 7:30.
