Museum Island (German: Museumsinsel) is the name of the northern half of an island in the Spree river in the central Mitte district of Berlin, Germany, the site of the old city of Cölln. It is so called for the complex of five internationally significant museums, all part of the Berlin State Museums, that occupy the island's northern part:
Emma-Lee Moss (born 4 November 1983), known by her stage name Emmy the Great, is a London-based singer-songwriter. She has released two albums, First Love and Virtue.
Moss was born in Hong Kong to an English father and a Chinese mother. Interested in music from a young age, she used to go by train to her nearest Tower Records shop so that she could buy the only non-Chinese music they had and, as a result, she developed a liking for bands such as Weezer, The Smashing Pumpkins, and The Lemonheads.
A British citizen through her father and with the ending of Hong Kong's status as a British colony, she returned with her family to London at the age of 12.
During the writing of her second album Virtue, Moss' atheist fiancé underwent a religious conversion, and left her as a result. Her song Trellick Tower is thought to have been inspired by this.
She started making music after encouragement from The Get Up Kids while at Fuji Rock Festival as part of Joe Strummer's entourage. Since then, she has performed with indie folk groups Lightspeed Champion and Noah and the Whale, but is primarily known for her solo work. She first emerged under the name Emmy the Great in 2006, when she released a series of free demos over the internet. She says the moniker came about when "[she] wanted to be a backing singer and [...] wanted to have something to hand to people... 'Emmy' is a name they called me at university, which I hated, and 'the Great' I added on because I hated 'Emmy' so much."

The Trick Art Museum, located in Jeju-do Island, Korea, will keep you guessing right up until the end. Trick Art Museum tours center around the magic of the optical illusion. Its exhibits comprise three-dimensional artwork that will confuse (and delight) your eyes and your brain. Is that a staircase rising out of the floor? Is the figure in that painting coming out of the wall? Your Trick Art Museum sightseeing will leave you questioning what’s real and what’s not, from the lions and monkeys in one exhibition to the ferocious Tyrannosaurus Rex in another. Trick Art Museum tourism is centered around the illusion these paintings create. You’re free to take pictures with the artwork, as various angles produce different results. Wander through the Animal Zone, the Jurassic Zone, the Aquarium...

Top Sightseeing locations to visit in Oslo, Norway. Including Downtown Oslo, The Royal Castle, museums, Vigelandsparken, Holmenkollen, and more. The exact locations are listed at the end of the description. The Oslo Opera: Do this one! The opera building is adjacent to the central station, and it's awesome. It's architecture is like walking on an iceberg, and it overlooks the Oslo fjord and Akershus Castle. Doesn't take much time. Karl Johans gate: The main walking street that connects Central Station (Oslo S) with the Royal Castle. I guess it's a must when you come to Oslo. You can't avoid it, and you shouldn't! Because it's the main street of Oslo. But Karl Johan is mostly for the tourists, beggars, scammers. People that live in Oslo, like me, hardly ever go there. Royal Castle:...

[http://www.world-heritage-site.com/] The museum as a social phenomenon owes its origins to the Age of Enlightenment in the 18th century. The five museums on the Museumsinsel in Berlin, built between 1824 and 1930, are the realization of a visionary project and show the evolution of approaches to museum design over the course of the 20th century. Each museum was designed so as to establish an organic connection with the art it houses. The importance of the museum's collections -- which trace the development of civilizations throughout the ages -- is enhanced by the urban and architectural quality of the buildings.
