You Said is the thirteenth studio album by US singer-songwriter Jermaine Jackson, released in 1991 as his only album released with LaFace Records, and his last with Arista.
According to Jackson, he was the first major act to sign with LaFace Records. Released in 1991, the entire album was produced by "The LaFace Family", consisting of L.A. Reid, Babyface, Kayo, and Darryl Simmons. Compared to many of his previous releases, You Said was a commercial failure, failing to peak within the Billboard 200. The original version of "Word to the Badd" gained significant controversy for its scathing lyrics directed towards his brother Michael. Although this version was not included on the US edition of the album, both the original and re-written versions of the song were included on the international edition of the album. In 2009, all of Jackson's albums released with Arista Records were re-released on CD format, with new bonus tracks, in Japan. The re-release of You Said was based on the international edition of the album, and thus contained the original version of "Word to the Badd".
"You Said" is a song recorded by Canadian country music group Farmer's Daughter. It was released in 1997 as the fourth single from their second studio album, Makin' Hay. It peaked at number 8 on the RPM Country Tracks chart in November 1997.
The wicked way is steep, tortuous and full of threatening traps and tortures
Dark paths and deep quietness,
In the evil and envy's rooms,
Cold branches of a demoniac, animated and untameable nature,
Grip your hairs and scratch your face
Every way and solution seems to bring you to the edge
Of nothing and the edge of the end-life
This is the place of the macabre intentions and the ghost apparitions
This is the earth of stepmother's wind,
She blows thorns on her head untying toads and rats
In this gloomy chasm it's getting dark and I can feel the
Frozen lullaby's woods from the beyond
It's the obsession eve
I'm evoking the deep in the room of faith
Praying to come back to home
Whishpering lies, the obscure fate swallows every right route
Alice in darkland, on a liquid envelope of lies and fertile instability
Deceived from the miracles I even bring the blame
But when the day will take a new lease of life, our eyes
Will be disintoxicate from human horror and malice
Overdose; Perhaps it will happen tomorrow
Alice in darkland, on a liquid
Envelope of lies and fertile
Deceived from the miracles I even bring the blame
The wicked way is steep, tortuous and full of threatening
