China, officially the People's Republic of China (PRC), is a sovereign state in East Asia. It is the world's most populous country, with a population of over 1.35 billion. The PRC is a one-party state governed by the Communist Party, with its seat of government in the capital city of Beijing. It exercises jurisdiction over 22 provinces; five autonomous regions; four direct-controlled municipalities (Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and Chongqing); two mostly self-governing special administrative regions (Hong Kong and Macau); and claims sovereignty over Taiwan.
Covering approximately 9.6 million square kilometers, China is the world's second-largest country by land area, and either the third or fourth-largest by total area, depending on the method of measurement. China's landscape is vast and diverse, ranging from forest steppes and the Gobi and Taklamakan deserts in the arid north to subtropical forests in the wetter south. The Himalaya, Karakoram, Pamir and Tian Shan mountain ranges separate China from South and Central Asia. The Yangtze and Yellow Rivers, the third- and sixth-longest in the world, run from the Tibetan Plateau to the densely populated eastern seaboard. China's coastline along the Pacific Ocean is 14,500 kilometres (9,000 mi) long, and is bounded by the Bohai, Yellow, East and South China Seas.
Revolution and its sizzling Economic Revolution. But you haven't heard about its other great social upheaval - the Chinese Sexual Revolution - and like everything in that country it's happening at warp speed. It's China's version of the 60s revolution - on steroids. China's Sexual Revolution is the world's first glimpse - often using secret cameras - into this forbidden new China. It's a surprising portrait of the Chinese today: the new free love generation that's left their parents in shock; the booming sex industry that's creating an HIV crisis; the new generation of career women and feminists that suddenly wants it all - while millions of men feel left out. This long untold story goes back to the days of Chairman Mao, who made sexuality a great taboo. He ordered everyone to wear unisex...

Mike and Dan takes an inside look at a controversial issue: China's Teen Brides. In small villages across the country like this one in Yunnan, Province, teenagers are getting married as young as 12 and having children as young as 13. Most of the couples range between 14-18. Some have 2 children by the time they are 16. Most or all of the women are forced to drop out of school. This is a common practice in China's villages even though the legal marrying age is 20 for men and 22 for women. Teen marriages are reportedly on the rise after the removal of China's One-Child Policy. Mike and Dan also discuss the possible reasons for this phenomenon in modern day China. ★Don't forget to check out their new channel DOUBLE CHEN NEWS: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCk47egZ-D3ZuP005EDLbqow Links ...
Ruthless, scheming, manipulative politicians, hellbent on bringing calamity to a once-prosperous nation. But enough about the news. Instead, we’re in the seventh century with a documentary about China’s Forgotten Emperor; yes, a female emperor. A documentary about the empress of China. It’s a terrific story: how a concubine, just 13 when she entered court, became imperial China’s only female emperor, ruled for 50 years (behind the scenes and in her own right) and presided over a period of great stability and prosperity. Before her reign, we were informed, China had been ruled by an aristocratic male elite, and she spent her career seeing them off. I wonder if Theresa May is watching.
China's booming billionaire population has developed a penchant for personal bodyguards, who often serve as status symbols as well as muscle. Female guards, valued for their covert presence, precision, and elegance, are in particularly high demand at the moment. Shanghai - China Travel Guide, Tourism, Vacation World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Shanghai - China Travel Guide http://goo.gl/Cl0qNG Shanghai is the future all other Chinese cities aspire to reach. Forget creaking temples and dusty old palaces (there are plenty of them elsewhere); Shanghai is where people come to see modern China at its glimmering best. This fast-paced city of towering skyscrapers is, in fact, not without its own significant history. Its glory days of the 1930s helped build Shanghai's reputation as a City of Sin. But to pause for too long at the city's past would be missing the point: Shanghai is all about the future face of the world's future super power, and coming here is to witness what makes the business end of China tick. Beijing (CNN)Wang Qiang is six years old and can solve a standard Rubik's Cube in less than 30 seconds. He started cubing when he was in kindergarten and attended his first competition this weekend. Almost 1,000 Rubik's fanatics gathered to test and showcase their skills at The Asian Championship in Beijing. But Wang wasn't the youngest competitor -- that honor went to a four-and-a-half year old. The six-sided puzzle, which was invented by Hungarian designer Erno Rubik in 1974 and was once the world's top selling toy, has enjoyed a huge comeback in recent years. http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/04/asia/china-rubiks-cube/index.html http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

Zhang Shasha stares out the window at a rare, blue, Beijing sky. "Next week I can go out," she says. "I miss outside!" But for now, she has to remain indoors, wrapped in a thick sweater and woolen hat, even though it is a warm spring day. Considered crucial for new mothers and their babies, they are expected to remain indoors for at least one month after giving birth, following a strict and elaborate set of rules like not washing their hair and eating pigs feet soup.
Just last night I woke from some unconscionable dream
And had it nailed to my forehead again
To keep this boat afloat
There are things you can't afford to know
So I save all my breath for the sails.
But you'll find those lingering voices
Are just your ego's attempt to make it all clean and nice
And make a moron out of you
Walking a bridge with weakening cables
Huddled up in fear and hate because we know our fate
And it's a lot to put us through.
Most ideas turn to dust
As there are few in which we all can trust
Haven't you noticed I've been shedding all of mind?
So let's abandon that track
And leave our fathers fighting in a sack
Cause we are way too wise-assed for that.
You might find some fools at your doorstep
Hustling the latest changes to the book
That's the strangest in an attempt to multiply
Marionettes on weakening cables
Huddled up with fear and hate
Because they know their fate and it's a lot to put them through.
We've taken on a climb
And it's long enough to put the best of us on our backs
Walking up a slide
And there are those we know who'd have us five miles off the track.
But you'll find those lingering voices
Are just your ego's attempt to make it all clean and nice
And make a moron out of you
Crossing the brindge on weakening cables
Huddled up with fear and hate because we know our fate
