Voicemail

Voice Mail System (also known as voice mail, voice message or voice bank) is a computer based system that allows users and subscribers to exchange personal voice messages; to select and deliver voice information; and to process transactions relating to individuals, organizations, products and services, using an ordinary telephone. The term is also used more broadly to denote any system of conveying a stored telecommunications voice messages, including using an answering machine. Most cell phone services offer voice-mail as a basic feature, many corporate PBXs include versatile internal voice-messaging services and *98 Vertical service code subscription is available to most individual and small business land line subscribers.

History of voicemail

The term Voicemail was coined by Televoice International (later became Voicemail International) for introduction of the first nationwide Voicemail® service in 1980.  Although VMI trademarked the term, it eventually became a generic term used for referring to virtually all automated voice services employing a telephone.  Voicemail popularity continues today with Internet telephone services such as Skype, Google Voice and ATT that integrate voice, voicemail and text services for tablets and smartphones

Voicemail (TV series)

Voicemail was an online television show that can be seen through the ABC.com Full Episode Player. Each short webisode features Mike, played by Ezra Godden, with his voicemail messages played in the background. As each message plays they help explain Mike's actions. In the episode entitled "Supplies", for example, Mike is seen making a giant ball out of masking tape while a series of voicemails from his boss asking him where the tape is going.

Styx (album)

Styx is the self-titled debut album by Styx. It was released in 1972 on Wooden Nickel Records. The album was reissued in 1980 under the title Styx I with new artwork. In late 2012, it was re-released for CD and digital download, along with Styx II, The Serpent Is Rising, and Man of Miracles.

Sticks is a 2001 American action comedy film starring Lillo Brancato, Justina Machado, and Keith Brunsmann.

Plot

Sticks is an off-beat noir action comedy about a smuggler of Cuban cigars who gets involved, and ultimately falls in love, with a Cuban revolutionary Maria who's in the U.S. trading cigars for guns. The two join forces to sell a large (stolen) shipment of Castro's private label cigar, the famed "El Mariposa", and suddenly they find themselves enmeshed in the seedy underbelly of a mob-run cigar smuggling ring that's being monitored by the feds.
