Kommer was drafted by the Bombers in 2012 and went on to play 19 games in his first season.

However, lingering knee issues ruined his 2014 and 2015 seasons.

He finally got the chance to return to the senior side this year, playing another three games.

General manager of football Rob Kerr thanked Kommer for his efforts at the Bombers.

“Nick is a wonderful young man and an extremely popular member of the playing group,” Kerr said. “Despite the injury setbacks Nick has faced since arriving at the club, he has always maintained professional standards and shown commitment in his approach to developing his football career.

“Nick is also a great role model and leads by example in his efforts within the community, in particular his work with Ladder – supporting young people at-risk or experiencing homelessness.”

Eades was drafted with pick 64 in the 2015 national draft.

The Bombers will consider re-listing him as a rookie.

Meanwhile North Melbourne has made a further two further changes to its playing list by delisting Joel Tippett and Brad McKenzie.

Tippett, the brother of Swan Kurt Tippett, played just seven games in three seasons for the Kangaroos after being recruited as a rookie in 2013.

He was brought to the club to bolster its tall defensive stocks but failed to make an impact.

McKenzie has been axed despite playing a career-high 14 matches in 2016.

Recruited with pick 18 in the 2011 national draft, the running defender played 37 games for North Melbourne in five seasons.
