Dan Slater (born c. 1972) was the first vice chair of the Colorado Democratic Party. An attorney in Cañon City, Colorado, Slater ran unsuccessfully for the Colorado State Senate in 2002 before joining the top leadership of the Colorado Democratic Party in 2003. A delegate to both the 2000 and 2004 Democratic National Conventions, Slater was a superdelegate to the 2008 convention, and publicly endorsed Barack Obama.
Born in La Junta, Colorado and raised in Las Animas, Slater attended the University of Oklahoma, following high school in Mustang, Oklahoma, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 1994. He earned his law degree from Washington College of Law at American University. Slater married Brandy Johnson in November 2008, and has two children from a previous marriage, Madison and Ethan, and two children from his current marriage, Logan and Demitrius.
Slater resides in Cañon City, Colorado, where he is an attorney in private practice, specializing in personal injury, estate planning, and real estate law. He was named "Young Lawyer of the Year" in 2004 by the Colorado Trial Lawyer's Association and has served on the Board of Governors of the Colorado Bar Association and as the Chair of the Judicial Performance Commission for Colorado's 11th Judicial District. He is currently President of the Fremont/Custer Bar Association.
Tara Leigh Patrick (born April 20, 1972), better known by her stage name Carmen Electra, is an American glamour model, actress, television personality, singer, and dancer. She gained fame for her appearances in Playboy magazine, on the MTV game show Singled Out, on the TV series Baywatch, and dancing with the Pussycat Dolls, and has since had roles in the parody films Scary Movie, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, and Disaster Movie. She hosted MTV Spring Break for some time.
Carmen Electra was born in Sharonville, Ohio to Harry Patrick, a guitarist and entertainer, and his wife Patricia (d. 1998), a singer. The youngest of six children (she has four brothers and one sister), Electra attended Ann Weigel Elementary School and studied dance under Gloria J. Simpson at Dance Artists studio in Western Hills until age nine, when she enrolled in the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), a magnet arts school in the Cincinnati Public School District. There, she was an older classmate of Nick Lachey, with whom she appeared in a production of Peter Pan. Electra, who told People Magazine in 1997 that she'd "wanted to dance on Broadway," graduated from Princeton High School in Sharonville in 1990, having transferred there from SCPA two years prior. Additionally, Electra attended and graduated from Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Cincinnati.

Plot: Following the death of his son, in a skiing accident in the Austrian Alps, the cold and emotion-less Dan Slater travels to Austria for the funeral. In the face of official indifference he decides to investigate and little by little strange inconsistencies start to appear leading Dan to conclude that the death of his son was no accident. A retired, former undercover operative, Frank Wheatley, whom he had hoped would watch out for his son proves useless as Dan seeks out the murderer's. Eventually, Dan finds Gina, the companion of wealthy socialite Mrs. Carrington, who puts him on the correct trail little realizing that he is falling into a cunning, cleverly thought out trap laid by Berthold. Berthold hopes to kidnap Slater and substitute him with an exact double in order to obtain a mole in the highest echelons of the CIA. Will he succeed or will Frank and Gina realize something is amiss and rescue Slater?
