The Passage were a post-punk band from Manchester, UK who appeared on several record labels including Object Music, Cherry Red Records, and their own label Night & Day, a subsidiary label to Virgin Records.
The band was formed as a quartet by songwriter and former Hallé Orchestra percussionist Dick Witts in 1978, but later became a trio. Witts produced the band's recordings and sang on most of their releases, the occasional lead vocal being taken by Tony Friel or Andy Wilson. Although they never truly broke into the mainstream, their most successful song was 'XOYO' which came 41st in John Peel's Festive Fifty for 1982, which was the top 50 songs of the year as voted by the listeners. The song was an experiment to see whether John Cage's method of aleatoric composition could be successfully applied to popular music composition. XOYO also appeared on the Cherry Red compilation album Pillows & Prayers. The band broke up in 1983.
Dick Witts is now a lecturer and has taught at Edinburgh University, Goldsmiths University in London and currently teaches at Edge Hill University in Lancashire. Andy Wilson is a club and radio DJ based mainly in Ibiza. Joe Mckechnie is a producer/remixer/DJ based in Liverpool. He has released records on Acacia (Detroit) Ochre (UK), Blood (UK) and Aspro (Holland) amongst others. Recent remixes include Ladytron/ROC and Echo & the Bunnymen.

The Passage (Russian: Пассаж, Passazh), from the French word Passage, is an elite department store on Nevsky Avenue in Saint Petersburg, Russia, which celebrated its 150th anniversary in 1998. Parenthetically, the Passage premises have long been associated with the entertainment industry and still remains home to the Komissarzhevskaya Theatre.
The site where the Passage sprawls had been devoted to trade since the city's foundation in the early 18th century. It had been occupied by various shops and warehouses (Little Gostiny Dvor, Schukin Dvor, Apraksin Dvor) until 1846, when Count Essen-Stenbock-Fermor acquired the grounds to build an elite shopping mall for the highest echelons of the Russian nobility and bourgeoisie.
The name came from a vast gallery between Nevsky Avenue and Italianskaya Street which provided the main passage through the mall. The gallery was covered over by an arching glass and steel roof, thus giving it a claim to being one of the world's first shopping malls, along with Passage du Caire in Paris (1798) Burlington Arcade in London, Galerie Vivienne in Paris (1823) and Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert in Brussels.
The Passage is a 2007 thriller-horror film directed by Mark Heller and starring a large ensemble cast that includes Stephen Dorff, Neil Jackson, Abdel Ghani Benizza, Khalid Benchagra, Nick Dunning, and Neil Fluellen. The film revolves around an American man falling for a Moroccan woman. They find out that their romance can put them in danger, so they seek out the help of people they know. Filming started in Morocco on October 1, 2006. It was released in the United States on March 18, 2007 and was released on DVD on September 5, 2007.
Two friends, Luke (Stephen Dorff) and Adam (Neil Jackson) travel to Morocco with the intention to relax and have a party. Adam thinks it's the best way for Luke to get over the death of Luke's girlfriend. While Adam prefers night life and parties, Luke writes a diary and takes numerous photographs of the Morocco and Moroccan way of life. During one of the walks across the city, Luke meets a Moroccan girl Zahra (Sarai Givaty) who offers him the help as a tourist guide. They are immediately attracted to each other although they need to be careful not to violate local customs which forbid local women to have any close contacts with the foreigners.
"The Passage" is the tenth episode of the third season from the science fiction television series Battlestar Galactica. It aired on December 8, 2006.
The fleet's food supply has been contaminated, forcing everyone to subsist on rapidly dwindling food rations. Athena, who has been doing reconnaissance, discovers a planet where abundant algae is found that can be used as a nutritious, if unappetizing, food source. Unfortunately, the planet is located on the other side of a vast, highly radioactive star cluster that is too big to go around. The fleet must cross the cluster or risk starvation. Because of the size of the cluster, each ship must jump to a point within it before jumping again to the planet.
Admiral Adama proposes that each civilian ship be paired with a Raptor, which will serve as a guide for each ship and direct it safely towards the algae planet. Each pilot is issued a white radiation warning badge which turns solid black when the pilot has been exposed to their maximum safe level of radiation. At that point that pilot is to be pulled off the operation.
The Passage (1930) is a novel by Australian author Vance Palmer. It won the ALS Gold Medal for Best Novel in 1930.
The novel is set in a small fishing village on the coast of Queensland, known as "The Passage", and centres around the affairs of the Callaways, original pioneers in the area. The tranquility of this unspoilt, idyllic location is endangered by Vic Osborne, a developer who threatens to bring the urban world to "The Passage".
The Passage is an album by American rock band Boy Hits Car. It was self-released originally in 2005, then re-released through Rock Ridge Music in 2006.

An animation which explores the slave trade and the journey of the Trans-Atlantic voyage.
In 1974, my 20-year-old parents and uncle Andy built their own canoes, launched them into the Pacific, and became some the first people in modern history to canoe from Washington to Alaska up the Inside Passage. My brother and I grew up paddling those wooden canoes in the Virginia rivers and the 1974 adventure became legend in our family - shaping who we’ve become, how we view our parents, and how our parents view themselves. In the summer of 2017, we renovated those canoes and with our aging parents completed their 1974 journey. The Passage is a story about growing up, growing old, and the wild places that define us. Burning eyes in wilderness
Distant insufficient sunlight
Not enough
To redeem his fading existence
Longing sweet demise to come
Atonement there shall it be
Desire death
The catharsis he craves for
Release
Thy soul's salvation
Resurrection, come!
Brief shall not be the light
Rebirth in lunar shine
Existential zenith
You will culminate forever
Driven by the silver boats
He will drink from the river-head
Meet the fountain
Be surrounded by the sparkling sun
The road shall arise lightened
And so shall be his figure
Painful child,
Welcome to the heavenly palace
Eternal balance
Your awakening
Brief shall not be the light
Rebirth in lunar shine
Existential zenith
You will culminate forever
Evergreen the passage
Ethereal ascendance
Brief shall not be the light
Rebirth in lunar shine
Existential zenith
You will culminate forever
Evergreen the passage
