Benjamin Francis Webster (March 27, 1909 – September 20, 1973) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist. Webster, born in Kansas City, Missouri, is considered one of the three most important "swing tenors" along with Coleman Hawkins and Lester Young. Known affectionately as The Brute, or Frog, he had a tough, raspy, and brutal tone on stomps (with growls), yet on ballads he played with warmth and sentiment. Stylistically he was indebted to alto star Johnny Hodges, who, he said, taught him to play his instrument.
Webster learned to play piano and violin at an early age before learning to play the saxophone, although he did return to the piano from time to time, even recording on the instrument occasionally. Once Budd Johnson showed him some basics on the saxophone, Webster began to play that instrument in the Young Family Band (which at the time included Lester Young). Kansas City at this point was a melting pot from which emerged some of the biggest names in 1930s jazz. Webster joined Bennie Moten's band in 1932, a grouping which also included Count Basie, Oran "Hot Lips" Page and Walter Page. This era was recreated in Robert Altman's film Kansas City.
Coming Home is the fifth studio album by American rock band New Found Glory. It was produced by the band along with Thom Panunzio and released on September 19, 2006 through Geffen Records. Written and demoed at the Morning View Mansion in Malibu, California during 2005, Coming Home is a concept album unified by a lyrical theme of being away from home and loved ones. The album marks a departure from the band's earlier work, implementing a more layered and mid-tempo sound that features various piano, keyboard, and string instrumentation more comparable to classic rock than their usual pop punk style.
Coming Home was a critical success for the band, and is widely regarded as one of their best records. The album was particularly noted for its matured style, while the songs were considered the most "mellow" of the band's career. Despite the release of only one single, "It's Not Your Fault", the album was still a relative commercial success, debuting at number eight on the Billboard Rock Albums chart and number nineteen on the Billboard 200.
The Hallmark Channel is an American cable and satellite television network that is owned by Crown Media Holdings, which is majority owned by Hallmark Cards. The channel's programming is primarily targeted at families, and features a mix of television movies and miniseries, original and acquired television series, and lifestyle programs.
As of February 2015, Hallmark Channel is available to approximately 85,439,000 pay television households (73.4% of households with television) in the United States.
The Hallmark Channel traces its history to the launch of two separate religious cable channels, the American Christian Television System (ACTS) and the Vision Interfaith Satellite Network (VISN). The two networks began alternating time on a shared transponder slot on the Galaxy III satellite in 1992. Under the original timeshare agreement, the network was branded as VISN/ACTS. Each network was provided time for its programming blocks, and would use their own logos.
Watch over Me is an American television series that debuted on December 6, 2006 on MyNetworkTV. Twentieth Television produced 66 episodes to air weekdays. The limited-run serial is an adaptation of Argentine series Resistiré.
Dayanara Torres, a former Miss Universe, played a woman torn between her bioterrorist fiance (Marc Menard) and her bodyguard, played by Todd Cahoon. Catherine Oxenberg and Casper Van Dien also appeared as villains. 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has not announced plans to release this series on DVD and/or Blu-ray.
Telefe, which produced the original version, syndicates a 64-episode run of the series in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. It promotes the show as mixing a classic Latin genre with Hollywood aesthetics. From July 2009, it was aired in Slovakia on TV Markíza taking the slot of Latin American telenovelas, but the show was not very successful.

BRIEF Create the trailer for long awaited Triple A title Rome 2: Total War by Sega Europe. IDEA The idea of Rome 2:Total War video game is that you can do whatever you want - politics, war, intrigue - and the game reacts to you. It's that sense of living and paying for your actions that we chose to communicate through the drama of this live action trailer. The trailer plays out across three different scenes at the height of the Roman Empire - a general returning from battle, two lovers intertwined and the political world of the Senate - but nothing is quite as it seems...and as beauty and brutality combine on screen the viewer is given a sense of the shifting perspectives of the game play itself. Johnny Hodges and Ben Webster became friends when they played together in Duke Ellington's fabulous band of the early Forties. Here they show that their feeling of kinship hasn't gone away, nearly twenty years after Webster abruptly left the band. Anytime you put two of the Duke's hornmen together, you'll get magic. The first 12 tracks are from the 60's meeting. Besides tenor and alto, we have Lou Levy on piano, Herb Ellis on guitar, Wilfred Middlebrooks on bass, and Gus Johnson on drums. Tracks 13-17 has Ray Nance on trumpet, Lawrence Brown on trombone, Emil Richards on vibes, Russ Freeman on piano, Joe Mondragon on bass, Mel Lewis on drums, and arranged by Jimmy Hamilton, in Los Angeles, January 31, 1961. Soulville is a 1957 album by swing tenor saxophonist Ben Webster, recording a session from October 15, 1957 which Webster played with the Oscar Peterson Trio. This session is described by AllMusic as "one of the highlights" of Webster's "golden '50s run". The album was reissued in the early 1990s on CD with three bonus tracks, which include rare recordings of Webster playing piano. When it was remastered in 24-bit for a 2003 edition, additional photographs and new liner notes were also included. 01. "Soulville" (Ben Webster) – 00:00 02. "Late Date" (Webster) – 08:04 03.
