A working group is an ad hoc group of subject-matter experts working together to achieve specified goals. The groups are domain-specific and focus on discussion or activity around a specific area subject area. The term can sometimes refer to an interdisciplinary collaboration of researchers working on new activities that would be difficult to sustain under traditional funding mechanisms (e.g., federal agencies).
The lifespan of a working group can last anywhere between a few months and several years. Such groups have the tendency to develop a quasi-permanent existence once the assigned task is accomplished; hence the need to disband (or phase out) the working group once it has achieved its goal(s).

Robin Newhouse judged the Richmond Working group and awarded a sixth group win of the year to Bullmastiff Mac, Ch Old Manila's Whisky Mac for Optimus.
At Windsor Championship Dog Show, the sixth group of the weekend to get judge was the Working group where Renee Sporre-Willes placed the Alaskan Malamute Ch Chayo My Prerogative top.

Sue Hewart-Chambers was judging the Working group for the first time at Windsor Championship Dog Show 2015 and her winner was taking his second group in two weeks - the Bouvier des Flandres Liskport Lord Of The Rings.
From a very strong shortlist in her Working group, US judge Judy Harrington awarded the second Working group in as many weeks to Alaskan Malamute Ch Chayo Klass Act - the son of Crufts group winner. In second was Ch Philoma Lana Lang the Giant Schnauzer followed by the young St Bernard Chandlimore Time And Again with the last of the placings claimed by the Newfoundland Merrybear D'artagnan.

Ch Liskport Lord Of The Rings the Bouvier des Flandres was awarded the Working group by the man to make-up the first champion in the breed in the UK, Staurt Mallard. At Richmond championship dog show the Working group wins in the last three years have been shared between just two dogs, the Bouvier winning last year as well, but 2014's winner was pipped to the post this year - Bullmastiff Mac - Ch Old Manila's Whisky Mac for Optimus finished second in the group this year. Third was Ch Meadowpark High Class the Bernese and fourth a puppy Portuguese Water Dog - Belleville Anjo Negro. And a rare appearance for a a Neapolitan Mastiff in a shortlist.
