Lauren Helen Graham (born March 16, 1967) is an American actress, producer and novelist. She is best known for playing Lorelai Gilmore on the WB drama series Gilmore Girls and as Sarah Braverman on the NBC series Parenthood.
Lauren Graham was born on March 16, 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her mother, Donna Grant, was a fashion buyer, and her father, Lawrence Graham, is a candy industry lobbyist who has been president of the National Confectioners Association. Graham was raised in her father's Catholic faith (her maternal grandfather was a Baptist minister); she is of Irish, English, Scottish ancestry. When Graham's father worked for the Agency for International Development in Vietnam, Lauren lived for a few years in Japan (her mother also grew up there, as the daughter of a missionary). Graham was five years old when her parents divorced and she moved to Alexandria, Virginia with her father, who became a congressional staffer, while her mother left to pursue an artistic career, and lived in London until her death at age 61. Graham has a half-sister and a half-brother from her father's second marriage and a British half-sister from her mother's second marriage, Shade Grant, who works at a talent agency.
Dax Randall Shepard (born January 2, 1975) is an American actor, comedian, writer, and director. He is best known for his work in the feature films Employee of the Month (2006), Without a Paddle (2004), Let's Go to Prison (2006), and Hit and Run (2012), the last of which he also wrote and directed, and the MTV practical joke reality series Punk'd (2003). He portrayed Crosby Braverman in the NBC comedy-drama series Parenthood from 2010 to 2015.
Shepard was born in Milford, Michigan, in suburban Detroit, Michigan. He is the son of mother, Laura LaBo, who worked at General Motors, and father, Dave Robert Shepard, Sr. (deceased), who was a car salesman. His parents divorced when he was 3 years old.
Shepard's mother ended up growing a huge business by the time he was in high school. She worked car shows with traveling events at race tracks. She started as a janitor on the midnight shift at General Motors, then worked in fleet management at the proving grounds where all the cars in Milford are designed, then hosted hospitality days for all the GM family members, eventually moving into public relations at an ad agency. She went back to GM, ending up owning four shops that managed publicity events for magazine journalists. From the age of 14 to 28, Shepard worked for his mother on the road, going from racetrack to racetrack. For about 2 years, Shepard had a stepfather who was an engineer on the Corvette. Shepard's mother has been married four times—Shepard said he's had three stepfathers.
Monica Potter (born Monica Gregg Brokaw; June 30, 1971) is an American actress, best known for her roles in films Con Air (1997), Patch Adams (1998), Along Came a Spider (2001), and Saw (2004). She was in a long-running, Golden Globe nominated role as Kristina Braverman in the NBC drama series Parenthood.
Monica was born on June 30, 1971, in Cleveland, Ohio to Nancy and Paul Brokaw. Her mother was a secretary in a hospital, and her father invented the first flame-resistant car wax. Potter is the eldest of four sisters (Kerry, Jessica, and Brigette). Her maternal grandparents were Irish immigrants, and she was raised Catholic.
During her childhood, she was part of the St. Jerome Parish in Cleveland, and attended the local elementary, as well as Villa Angela Academy, before graduating from Euclid High School. She also spent part of her early years in Arab, Alabama. Potter had wanted to be an actress since childhood. She began acting at the Cleveland Play House when she was in elementary school. Starting at age 12, she worked at a flower shop, and did some modeling for newspaper and magazine ads and some local commercials. She also did a few commercials in Chicago, went to Miami to film a Seinfeld pilot, and then moved to Los Angeles in 1994.

Krause was born in Alexandria, Minnesota, to a mother who taught second grade and a father who was a high school English teacher. He was raised in Roseville, Minnesota, a suburb of St. Paul. He has two siblings, Michael and Amy.
Krause graduated in 1987 from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, with a degree in English literature. He also has a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from New York University's Graduate Acting Program at the Tisch School of the Arts.

From 1998 to 2000, Krause also portrayed the character Casey McCall on the ABC network's comedy Sports Night. The "Parenthood" star opened up to Ellen about her relationship. Check out what she said!
Some of my favorite clips from various interviews that the always hilarious Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls, Parenthood etc.) has done. As you can see, her interviews with Craig Ferguson and Ellen DeGeneres are the best. Credit: Most of the clips are from youtube but I did get one of the Craig clips from lauren-online.net. No Copyright infringement intended. This is the first video I've ever made so apologies if it kind of sucks - I'm really unfamiliar with all the iMovie controls.

For six beautiful seasons, Parenthood made us feel so many feels—actually make that all of the feels. From the glorious highs and the devastating lows, we've shed tears of joy and despair along with the Braverman family of the NBC drama. Before we bid farewell to the Jason Katims' beloved series, it's only fitting that we countdown to some of Parenthood's most gut-wrenching and tear-jerking moments. Grab your tissues for this one because you’re about to full-on ugly cry.

Hey badges tinkle
T-shirts mingle
Hey you horror-face!
I'm a printhead
I go to pieces
I'm a printhead
I go to pieces yeah
End of catch-line
End of hook-line
We had a two page
It's what we needed
I'm an ill head
My face increases
How my head increases
Real problems, biz
So how is it, yeah
That I've reached here
I thought this game
Would do me good
How could printed vinyl bring you out to here?
We laughed with them
When it was take-the-piss time
I'm no egghead
But I'm an ex-worker man
W.C.-hero friend - and not water closet!
There's a barrier between writer and singer
Uh-huh he's a good man
Although a lazy one
The singer is a neurotic drinker
The band little more than a big crashing beat.
Instruments collide and we all get drunk
The last two lines
Were a quote, yeah
When we read them
We went to pieces
We went to pieces, yeah
We went to pieces, yeah
Regularly
One day a week
I'm a printhead, yeah
Twenty pence a week
Dirty fingers
Printhead X 3
With print you substitute an ear
For an extra useless eye
