The Woodberry Poetry Room’s inaugural Fall 2014 reading brought together C.D. Wright (author of One With Others: a little book of her days, which was a finalist for the National Book Award and winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award) and Jared Stanley (author of The Weeds and Book Made of Forest) whose deeply idiosyncratic work and evolving compendiums explore the confluences of the local and global, the individual body as it coexists with the environment, in a poetry in which something is undeniably at stake.
