Hey everyone, meet Boa! Boa's part of Fairmonts new EP, recently released on Toronto's My Favorite Robot recordings. The sound is classic Fairmont, the style we've come to appreciate him for over the years. When we asked him about this EP (which should hint to some cool stuff coming up), he told us he was kind of aiming to do a 'classic' Fairmont EP, filled with tracks that would seamlessly complement his tracks from a while ago. If that means this track is old fashioned or not, we don't care. To us Boa sounds fresh as ever, effortlessly managing to incorporate a 303'ish sounding acid line into the deep style that made him the artist that he is today. Add some haunting vocals, effective percussion and some more interesting chord progression and you've got one hell of a track. Fairmont is ...
I think every build should start with a good plan. You need to figure out what it is you want to accomplish before you start paying out your hard earned money on a vehicle build. In this video I talk about my plans for my 1979 Ford Fairmont. For those of you not familiar, this is a Fox body vehicle which is the same chassis as the Ford Mustang from 1978-1992. That means that most of the parts that fit a Mustang of that vintage, fit this car. I'm not the first person to think of this, but I hope to put my own unique spin on this build to make it my own. I think you'll enjoy what I have in store for the Fairmont. If nothing else, it will make for a bunch of new and interesting videos this season. I can't wait to get started. FYI, that will likely be summer 2015. Thanks for watching. The b...
Main-Fairmont-man Jake Fairley's self-made video to accompany the moody romance and mantra-like refrains of 'Velora' saw him spend a winter afternoon lurking in an Ontario forest to produce this black-and-white study of a snowbound caravan. Our roving Canadian troubadour Jake Fairley makes his triumphant return to the Border Community with a Fairmont EP of truly epic proportions: the lush harmonic synthscapes of the 'Velora EP' are released in digital and 500 copy limited edition vinyl format on 09/05/11.

Many of you have questioned me about when I'm going to be getting back to the Fairmont Project. Well, I'm working on it right now. Starting with these parts. I spent some money and I don't feel the least bit bad about it. These are no longer plans I'm talking about. I now have some real skin in the game. With my next paycheck, I'm going to buy some of the engine parts I'm planning on using. I'll do an update on that when those arrive as well. If I have it my way, I'll be driving the Fairmont by the time the 'Meet Up' happens in July. Keep in mind that the videos I shoot will likely be coming out in the months following that. I'm sure there will be a LOT of videos. You'll probably be sick of them before it's all over. Then you'll have something else to complain about. :) As a side note...

The Monster You've Become...
Hope you have no regrets,
Do you still smoke cigarettes?
Hope the cancer is eating you alive.
I've had enough of you
I've had enough of
I've had enough of you
Had enough of
The monster you've become
Is the monster I used to be
And lessons are learned hard
When the entire time your
Kicking and screaming.
I heard all about your good news
But I didn't hear it from you.
The guy I've become,
He's a sorry one,
The guy you used to know would have punched you in the face.
I've had enough of you
I've had enough of
I've had enough of you
Had enough of
The monster you've become
Is the monster I used to be
And lessons are learned hard
When the entire time your
Kicking and screaming.
I heard all about your good news
