Sounds of the Universe

Sounds of the Universe is the twelfth studio album by English electronic music band Depeche Mode, released on 17 April 2009 by Mute Records. It was supported by the 2009–10 concert tour Tour of the Universe. Three singles were released from the album; "Wrong", "Peace", and a double A-side of "Fragile Tension" and "Hole to Feed". "Perfect" was also released in the US as a promotional single.

As with the previous album, Playing the Angel, Dave Gahan has once again written three songs with Christian Eigner and Andrew Phillpott: "Hole to Feed", "Come Back" and "Miles Away/The Truth Is". "Spacewalker" and the bonus track "Esque" are instrumentals. Martin Gore shares lead singing duties with Gahan on "In Chains", "Peace" and "Little Soul", he sings the lead of "Jezebel" and the B-side "The Sun and the Moon and the Stars" on the second disc of the deluxe box set. The B-side "Oh Well" is the first track ever to be co-written by Gore and Gahan. The final track "Corrupt" is followed by a short hidden instrumental version of the song "Wrong".

Revival (Selena Gomez album)

Revival is the second solo studio album by American singer Selena Gomez. It was released on October 9, 2015, by Interscope and Polydor Records. Gomez began planning the project in 2014, at which time she left her previous label Hollywood Records and subsequently joined Interscope and Polydor, and continued work into 2015. As executive producers, Gomez, Danny D, and Tim Blacksmith collaborated with producers including Hit-Boy, Rock Mafia, and Stargate to achieve her desired new sound. Their efforts resulted in a primarily pop record, with elements of dance-pop, electropop, and R&B connected by a tropical beach sound and lyrics that discuss love and confidence.

The record was inspired by the work of a range of artists, especially Christina Aguilera's sophomore studio album Stripped (2002), and Gomez's trip to Mexico, where she defined the album's sound. Working with a handful of songwriters, Gomez co-wrote eleven out of the sixteen tracks that made the album's tracklists. The album reflects her journey since 2013, including the media scrutiny on her personal life, of which her highly public relationships and personal issues.

Fuckin' Perfect

"Fuckin' Perfect" (stylized "Perfect" on the clean version, and as "F**kin' Perfect" on the main cover) is a song by American recording artist Pink, taken from her first greatest hits album Greatest Hits... So Far!!! (2010). It was released on December 14, 2010 by LaFace Records, JIVE Records, and RCA Records as the album's second single. Written by Pink with Max Martin and Shellback, the track is a pop rock number which encourages people to accept each other for their true identities.

Pink has stated that the main inspiration behind the track is her husband, Carey Hart. Its music video, directed by longtime collaborator Dave Meyers, delivers a message against depression, self-harm and suicide. In November 2011, the song garnered a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Solo Performance. "Fuckin' Perfect" peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Pink's eleventh top-ten hit single in the United States.

In 2011, "Fuckin' Perfect" was ranked at number-fourteen on the "Top 40 Year-End Chart", behind her previous single "Raise Your Glass", based on Mediabase.

Liquor (novel series)

The Liquor novel series is a novel series by Poppy Z. Brite. The books are linked by common characters and the setting, a New Orleans restaurant where "the potboiler meets the saucier". The series revolves around the two young chefs John Rickey and Gary "G-man" Stubbs, their restaurant and their life in New Orleans.

In addition, Brite calls 2007's D*U*C*K (ISBN 978-1596060760) "a Liquor-related novella."

Liquor is the first novel in the series. It was released in the United States on March 16, 2004.

Soul Kitchen is the third novel in the series. It was released in the United States on July 25, 2006. It is 345 pages long.

Liquor (song)

"Liquor" is a song by American recording artist Chris Brown from his seventh studio album Royalty. It was released as a single on June 26, 2015, by RCA Records.

Background

On June 25, 2015, Billboard revealed that Brown's new album will be released in the fall of that year. In the same interview with Billboard, Brown stated that "Liquor" will be included in the album's tracklist. The song was premiered on June 25 and was released for digital download the next day.

Music video

On August 7, 2015, a few images from the music video shoot were released online. On August 27, 2015 Brown uploaded a teaser for "Liquor" on his Instagram. The music video premiered on September 22, 2015, along with "Zero" as one video.

Interlude (Delain album)

Interlude is a compilation album by the Dutch symphonic metal band Delain.

The album is described in a press release as "a fantastic blend of brand-new songs, special versions and mixes of popular Delain tracks, covers, and the single 'Are You Done With Me'. Interlude also includes a special DVD featuring exclusive live footage and clips from the band's career.

Broken China

Broken China is a progressive rock solo album by Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright.

Overview

The album is a four-part concept album which documents Wright's then-wife Mildred's battle with depression, and is very much like a classic Pink Floyd concept album in its structure and overall feel. Two songs, "Reaching for the Rail" and "Breakthrough" feature Sinéad O'Connor on lead vocals, with Wright singing elsewhere. The album was recorded in Wright's personal studio in France. Broken China was only Wright's second solo record after 1978's Wet Dream and the last to be released before his death in September 2008.

Wright asked fellow Pink Floyd bandmate David Gilmour to perform on the album, to which Gilmour agreed to play one track. However, the approach for the song was changed later on, and Gilmour's performance was not used on the finished album.

On the DVD David Gilmour in Concert, a guest appearance is made by Wright, who sings "Breakthrough" accompanied by David Gilmour and his band.
