During my trip this year on Hajj I had the great honor to visit the famous Masjid Al Qiblatain where Mohammed rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam changed the qibla at asr time from Jerusalem to towards the kaaba. It is known as the masjid of the two qiblas.
I recorded this in best possible 1080P HD wide screen footage so all muslims have a chance to see this site in close up detail who cannot make hajj or visit Medina or Makkah yet. Muslims who go on umrah or hajj should always make dua for those yet not fortunate, physically capable or able to do so yet so Allah [swt] will make it possible for every muslim will have the blessing to full fill their hajj obligation atleast once in their life time.

Even after the Prophet ( S.A.W. ) came to Madinah, the Quibla was still Baytul Muqaddas. The jews used to taunt the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) that he did not have his own direction for prayers for his followers, and faced the Jewish Quibla whilst praying.
One day the Prophet ( S.A.W. ) was a guest at the house of one of his friends outside the city. When the time for Zohr came, the Prophet ( S.A.W. ) went to the nearby mosque to pray. He had only completed two rakat, when a ' wahee ' came to change his face from Baytul Muqaddas to Kaaba. The Prophet ( S.A.W. ) changed the Quibla during Namaaz and according to one riwayah, all the Ashabs changed direction by 180 degrees, as Baytul Muqaddas and Kaaba are directly opposite. This meant that the Prophet ( S.A.W. ) was left behind his followers; he walked past the followers, came to the front and countinued the Zohr prayers. According to another riwayah, it is said that at that time only Imam Ali ( A.S. ) was praying behind the Prophet( S.A.W. ). The Prophet ( S.A.W. ) passed Imam Ali ( A.S. ) and lead the last two rakaats.

Masjid al-Qiblatayn
Masjid al-Qiblatayn (Arabic: المسجد القبلتین), or the Mosque of the Two Qiblas, is a mosque in Medina that is historically important for Muslims as the place where, after the Islamic prophet Muhammad received the command to change the direction of prayer (qibla) from Jerusalem to Mecca, the entire congregation led by a companion changed direction in prayer. Thus it uniquely contained two prayer niches (mihrabs). Recently the mosque was renovated; the old prayer niche facing Jerusalem was removed, and the one facing Mecca was left.
The Qiblatayn Mosque is among the three earliest mosques in Islam's history, along with Quba Mosque and Al-Masjid al-Nabawi.
History
The name of the mosque goes back to the beginning of Islam when the companions of Muhammad named it after an event that took place. Muhammad received revelation from Allah instructing him to take the Kaaba as the Qiblah in the early morning hours of the day. He announced this to his companions in his own mosque (Masjid-al-Nabwi), after which the news began to spread. A companion who heard this went to Masjid al-Qiblatayn to share this news. Upon arriving, he noticed the congregation were already engaged in the afternoon prayer (Asr). He called out from the back of the mosque that the change of direction has been ordained, and upon hearing this, the imam (leader of the prayer) immediately turned around to face Mecca, and those praying behind him also did so. After this, the mosque in which this incident occurred came to be known as Masjid al-Qiblatayn (i.e. 'Mosque of the Two Qiblas'). Many pilgrims who go to Mecca for hajj often visit Medina where some end up visiting the notable Qiblatayn because of its historic significance. It's a common myth that Muhammad was leading the prayer when the commandment came down (and he was the one who changed direction), this is however not true.

During my trip this year on Hajj I had the great honor to visit the famous Masjid Al Qiblatain where Mohammed rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam changed the qibla at asr time from Jerusalem to towards the kaaba. It is known as the masjid of the two qiblas.
I recorded this in best possible 1080P HD wide screen footage so all muslims have a chance to see this site in close up detail who cannot make hajj or visit Medina or Makkah yet. Even after the Prophet ( S.A.W. ) came to Madinah, the Quibla was still Baytul Muqaddas. The jews used to taunt the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) that he did not have his own direction for prayers for his followers, and faced the Jewish Quibla whilst praying.
One day the Prophet ( S.A.W. ) was a guest at the house of one of his friends outside the city. When the time for Zohr came, the Prophet ( S.A.W. ) went to the nearby mosque to pray. He had only completed two rakat, when a ' wahee ' came to change his face from Baytul Muqaddas to Kaaba. The Prophet ( S.A.W. ) changed the Quibla during Namaaz and according to one riwayah, all the Ashabs changed direction by 180 degrees, as Baytul Muqaddas and Kaaba are directly opposite. This meant that the Prophet ( S.A.W. ) was left behind his followers; he walked past the followers, came to the front and countinued the Zohr prayers. According to another riwayah, it is said that at that time only Imam Ali ( A.S. ) was praying behind the Prophet( S.A.W. ). The Prophet ( S.A.W. ) passed Imam Ali ( A.S. ) and lead the last two rakaats.

Quba Mosque According to legend, its first stones were positioned by Prophet Muhammad SAW as soon as he arrived on his emigration from the city of Mecca to Medina and the mosque was completed by his companions. Medina is home to the three oldest mosques, namely the Quba Mosque, al-Masjid an-Nabawi, and Masjid al-Qiblatayn. China and India have also some of the oldest mosques in the world resembling the Chinese and Indian Architecture.
In India ancient times, trade relations between Arabia and India were active. With the advent of Islam, the Arab merchants became carriers of the new religion and they propagated it wherever they went. According to Keralan legend, Cheraman Perumal, the Chera king, went to Arabia where he met Muhammad and embraced Islam and changed his name to Tajuddin.In the 7th Century, a group of Arabs led by Malik Bin Deenar and Malik bin Habib arrived in Thrissur District constructed a Masjid at Kodungalloor, naming it after their contemporary Cheraman Perumal.
