The first chart hit of the multi-ethnic band War, sang by short-time member Eric Burdon. Burdon, tired of his parent band The Animals in the UK, joined the Californian jam band in 1969. But after two albums, highly acclaimed concerts and rave reviews in the music press, Burdon suddenly left the group in the middle of an European tour and never went back. The song Spill The Wine was rediscovered in the late 90s as part of the soundtrack to Boogie Nights, Paul Thomas Andersons film about the Californian adult movie business of the 70s. It can be heard during the pool party scene with Mark Wahlberg, Burt Reynolds and Philip Baker Hall.

This video seems to have disappeared. There is another version of this with a 50 second introduction here: www dot youtube dot com/watch?v=TpNWSW49IBM . But the version I'm uploading does not have the introduction.
Until viewing You Tube I was not aware of Eric Burdon and The Animals, I had heard their songs, but didn't know who sang them. It's not a good idea for You Tube to remove these videos since they are a form of marketing and they make people aware of these artists. For example I just bought the 2 CD set "The Complete Animals [Extra Tracks] [Import]" from Amazon. They contain 41 tracks, the complete recordings made with Mickie Most as producer. Some of their future songs are not included since Mickie Most was not the producer at that time. Wouldn't have bought these CDs had I not learned about Eric Burdon and The Animals from these You Tube videos.

Eric Victor Burdon (born 11 May 1941) is an English singer-songwriter best known as a member and vocalist of rock band The Animals, and the funk rock band War and for his aggressive stage performance. He was ranked 57th in Rolling Stone's list - The 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.
Burdon was lead singer of The Animals, formed during 1962 in Newcastle, England. The original band was the Alan Price Combo which formed in 1958. They became the Animals shortly after Burdon joined the band. They combined electric blues with rock and in the USA were one of the leading bands of the British Invasion. Along with The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Dave Clark Five, and The Kinks, the group introduced British music and fashion. Burdon's powerful voice can be heard in The Animals singles "The House of the Rising Sun", "Sky Pilot", "Monterey", "I'm Crying", "Boom Boom", "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood", "Bring It On Home to Me", "Baby Let Me Take You Home", "It's My Life", "We Gotta Get out of This Place", "Don't Bring Me Down", and "See See Rider".

Love Is All is a five-piece indie pop band from Gothenburg, Sweden. It releases songs in English. Paste Magazine has stated that it makes "infectiously lo-fi punk rock laced with saxophone and melodic vocals".
Swedish band Love Is All are composed of Josephine Olausson (vocals, keyboard), Johan Lindwall (bass), Markus Görsch (drums), James Ausfahrt (saxophone), and Nicholaus Sparding (guitar/vocals). Olausson, Sparding, and Görsch had previously been members of Girlfriendo. The trio promptly regrouped after that band's demise and added Lindwall, who had recorded in a side project with Olausson and Sparding called Cat Skills. They finally added the missing piece with saxophone player Fredrik Eriksson. While earning many rave reviews from the blogging community for their blend of art punk and indie rock, the band released several singles, one of which made single of the week in NME. The singles were collected on the debut LP Nine Times That Same Song, released by New York-based What's Your Rupture? in late 2005. After much touring through 2006 and 2007, Eriksson left the band and Love Is All continued on as a quartet. A Hundred Things Keep Me Up at Night and the remix album Love Is All Mixed Up arrived in 2008, along with Eriksson's replacement Åke Strömer (saxophone, keyboards). They are currently signed to Polyvinyl Record Co..

This video seems to have disappeared. There is another version of this with a 50 second introduction here: www dot youtube dot com/watch?v=TpNWSW49IBM . But the version I'm uploading does not have the introduction. Until viewing You Tube I was not aware of Eric Burdon and The Animals, I had heard their songs, but didn't know who sang them. It's not a good idea for You Tube to remove these videos since they are a form of marketing and they make people aware of these artists. For example I just bought the 2 CD set "The Complete Animals [Extra Tracks] [Import]" from Amazon. They contain 41 tracks, the complete recordings made with Mickie Most as producer. Some of their future songs are not included since Mickie Most was not the producer at that time. Wouldn't have bought these CDs had I no... -

Until viewing You Tube I was not aware of Eric Burdon and The Animals, I had heard their songs, but didn't know who sang them. It's not a good idea for You Tube to remove these videos since they are a form of marketing and they make people aware of these artists. For example I just bought the 2 CD set "The Complete Animals [Extra Tracks] [Import]" from Amazon. They contain 41 tracks, the complete recordings made with Mickie Most as producer. Some of their future songs are not included since Mickie Most was not the producer at that time. Wouldn't have bought these CDs had I not learned about Eric Burdon and The Animals from these You Tube videos.
