I make projects of my experiences working UBER. Last video of this nature got a lot of attention- though, I deleted it to be (slightly) more professional. So here is another few weeks worth of footage.
These videos have been for nothing but fun, and I'm glad others have appreciated them. It's awesome to have an audience watch something that I've created and I want to see if this little project can go somewhere. I've decided to monetize this one so I can possibly buy a decent camera because mine is a piece of shit.

Ok so I was looking at this graph put on Uber’s website today and thought it looked too good to be true. How amazing that Uber drivers make more than any other type of driver.
But I knew from my own experience as a rider that Uber didn’t cost that much. In fact, Uber is pretty cheap if you’re a passenger.
Sooooo…. how can uber be so cheap, and yet the drivers make so much money???
Now Uber has cut pay to drivers in Detroit to 24cents a mile , but we’re going to stick to the 90c for now.
Uber takes 20% of the total fare from the driver for older drivers. Newer drivers get 25% taken.
So we’re down to 67.5c per mile.
Then you have to deduct tax:
In some LA County's, sales tax is as high as 10%, and Uber doesn’t withold taxes for you. The drives are responsible for keeping this money aside to pay the tax department in April.
So with the 10% deducted, we’re down to (just over 60 cents) 60.75c
Now we need to factor in depreciation of the car. A car is an asset like anything else, and will eventually wear out and you’ll have to buy a new one. Every mile you drive decreases the value of your car and brings you that much closer to needing a new one. This is a big problem if you drive for a living, you’re going to need to buy a new car every two or three years and the cost of a new car is significant.
The IRS estimates vehicle cost to drive a vehicle for work at $0.54 a mile .
Broken down into
Fuel costs @ an average of 12c per mile
Depreciation at $0.24c per mile.
Repairs, tyres, & maintainence at 9c per mile
Insurance, licence, registration, finance, fees - average out to around 9c per mile
So with 54c depreciation, repairs, and fuel accounted for, we’re down to just over 6c per mile that actually goes into your hands of drivers.
Given that Uber also asks its drivers to buy things like bottles of water, gum, and chargers for it’s passengers, we can say for certain that driving for Uber pays well below minimum wage or even worse, costing drivers money (as is seen directly in this actual fare uber charged one of it’s drivers).
So given the math is so bad, why does anyone drive for Uber?
Here’s an example of a post an Uber driver posted - he was $400 behind on the rent, and needed to make up some quick cash. In a way, uber is kind of like a loans scheme.
Now for some people in desperate circumstances, what Uber’s offering might be an acceptable deal. But for most people, driving for Uber is a waste of time. I wish Uber would be more honest with people. By our calculations, the amount you’re making as an uber driver is nowhere near $19 per hour. If you drive 30 miles per hour at 6.75c per hour, you’re only making $2.00 per mile - by far the worst choice of any transportation job.
This number is supported by Not Cool Uber, who have tracked hourly earnings to be around $2.89 and, after vehicle fees are taken into account, $0.
Now – I’m not against car pooling. We all need transport, and I know I am a frequent user of Uber & Lyft. But I think that Uber is going about it in an unethical way, which makes me unethical for supporting them as a customer.
Uber could easily fix this situation : by reducing their commission, by making rates more reasonable, by giving riders the option to Tip their drivers, or just by being transparent. But that would mean admitting that they’ve generated significant revenue from effectively exploiting their drivers. So the truth is, Uber benefits from maintaining this status quo. Uber is currently reported to be making $10 billion in revenue per year - and that money has to come from someone.
Just don’t let that someone be you.

I Drive For Uber- Here Are Some of My Crazy Adventures
I make projects of my experiences working UBER. Last video of this nature got a lot of attention- though, I deleted it to be (slightly) more professional. So here is another few weeks worth of footage. These videos have been for nothing but fun, and I'm glad others have appreciated them. It's awesome to have an audience watch something that I've created and I want to see if this little project can go somewhere. I've decided to monetize this one so I can possibly buy a decent camera because mine is a piece of shit. Those in my videos consented to being in my project, blurred identity or not, and I am in no way affiliated with UBER. I am an independent contractor and how I conduct my business is solely up to me. Ok so I was looking at this graph put on Uber’s website today and thought it looked too good to be true. How amazing that Uber drivers make more than any other type of driver. But I knew from my own experience as a rider that Uber didn’t cost that much. In fact, Uber is pretty cheap if you’re a passenger. Sooooo…. how can uber be so cheap, and yet the drivers make so much money??? Now Uber has cut pay to drivers in Detroit to 24cents a mile , but we’re going to stick to the 90c for now. Uber takes 20% of the total fare from the driver for older drivers. Newer drivers get 25% taken. So we’re down to 67.5c per mile. Then you have to deduct tax: In some LA County's, sales tax is as high as 10%, and Uber doesn’t withold taxes for you. The drives are responsible for keeping this money...

Ok so I was looking at this graph put on Uber’s website today and thought it looked too good to be true. How amazing that Uber drivers make more than any other type of driver.
But I knew from my own experience as a rider that Uber didn’t cost that much. In fact, Uber is pretty cheap if you’re a passenger.
Sooooo…. how can uber be so cheap, and yet the drivers make so much money???
Now Uber has cut pay to drivers in Detroit to 24cents a mile , but we’re going to stick to the 90c for now.
Uber takes 20% of the total fare from the driver for older drivers. Newer drivers get 25% taken.
So we’re down to 67.5c per mile.
Then you have to deduct tax:
In some LA County's, sales tax is as high as 10%, and Uber doesn’t withold taxes for you. The drives are responsible for keeping this money aside to pay the tax department in April.
So with the 10% deducted, we’re down to (just over 60 cents) 60.75c
Now we need to factor in depreciation of the car. A car is an asset like anything else, and will eventually wear out and you’ll have to buy a new one. Every mile you drive decreases the value of your car and brings you that much closer to needing a new one. This is a big problem if you drive for a living, you’re going to need to buy a new car every two or three years and the cost of a new car is significant.
The IRS estimates vehicle cost to drive a vehicle for work at $0.54 a mile .
Broken down into
Fuel costs @ an average of 12c per mile
Depreciation at $0.24c per mile.
Repairs, tyres, & maintainence at 9c per mile
Insurance, licence, registration, finance, fees - average out to around 9c per mile
So with 54c depreciation, repairs, and fuel accounted for, we’re down to just over 6c per mile that actually goes into your hands of drivers.
Given that Uber also asks its drivers to buy things like bottles of water, gum, and chargers for it’s passengers, we can say for certain that driving for Uber pays well below minimum wage or even worse, costing drivers money (as is seen directly in this actual fare uber charged one of it’s drivers).
So given the math is so bad, why does anyone drive for Uber?
Here’s an example of a post an Uber driver posted - he was $400 behind on the rent, and needed to make up some quick cash. In a way, uber is kind of like a loans scheme.
Now for some people in desperate circumstances, what Uber’s offering might be an acceptable deal. But for most people, driving for Uber is a waste of time. I wish Uber would be more honest with people. By our calculations, the amount you’re making as an uber driver is nowhere near $19 per hour. If you drive 30 miles per hour at 6.75c per hour, you’re only making $2.00 per mile - by far the worst choice of any transportation job.
This number is supported by Not Cool Uber, who have tracked hourly earnings to be around $2.89 and, after vehicle fees are taken into account, $0.
Now – I’m not against car pooling. We all need transport, and I know I am a frequent user of Uber & Lyft. But I think that Uber is going about it in an unethical way, which makes me unethical for supporting them as a customer.
Uber could easily fix this situation : by reducing their commission, by making rates more reasonable, by giving riders the option to Tip their drivers, or just by being transparent. But that would mean admitting that they’ve generated significant revenue from effectively exploiting their drivers. So the truth is, Uber benefits from maintaining this status quo. Uber is currently reported to be making $10 billion in revenue per year - and that money has to come from someone.
Just don’t let that someone be you.

Uber takes 20% of the total fare from the driver for older drivers. Newer drivers get 25% taken.
So we’re down to 67.5c per mile.
Then you have to deduct tax:
In some LA County's, sales tax is as high as 10%, and Uber doesn’t withold taxes for you. The drives are responsible for keeping this money aside to pay the tax department in April.
So with the 10% deducted, we’re down to (just over 60 cents) 60.75c
Now we need to factor in depreciation of the car. A car is an asset like anything else, and will eventually wear out and you’ll have to buy a new one. Every mile you drive decreases the value of your car and brings you that much closer to needing a new one. This is a big problem if you drive for a living, you’re going to need to buy a new car every two or three years and the cost of a new car is significant.
The IRS estimates vehicle cost to drive a vehicle for work at $0.54 a mile .
Broken down into
Fuel costs @ an average of 12c per mile
Depreciation at $0.24c per mile.
Repairs, tyres, & maintainence at 9c per mile
Insurance, licence, registration, finance, fees - average out to around 9c per mile
So with 54c depreciation, repairs, and fuel accounted for, we’re down to just over 6c per mile that actually goes into your hands of drivers.
Given that Uber also asks its drivers to buy things like bottles of water, gum, and chargers for it’s passengers, we can say for certain that driving for Uber pays well below minimum wage or even worse, costing drivers money (as is seen directly in this actual fare uber charged one of it’s drivers).
So given the math is so bad, why does anyone drive for Uber?
Here’s an example of a post an Uber driver posted - he was $400 behind on the rent, and needed to make up some quick cash. In a way, uber is kind of like a loans scheme.
Now for some people in desperate circumstances, what Uber’s offering might be an acceptable deal. But for most people, driving for Uber is a waste of time. I wish Uber would be more honest with people. By our calculations, the amount you’re making as an uber driver is nowhere near $19 per hour. If you drive 30 miles per hour at 6.75c per hour, you’re only making $2.00 per mile - by far the worst choice of any transportation job.
This number is supported by Not Cool Uber, who have tracked hourly earnings to be around $2.89 and, after vehicle fees are taken into account, $0.
Now – I’m not against car pooling. We all need transport, and I know I am a frequent user of Uber & Lyft. But I think that Uber is going about it in an unethical way, which makes me unethical for supporting them as a customer.
Uber could easily fix this situation : by reducing their commission, by making rates more reasonable, by giving riders the option to Tip their drivers, or just by being transparent. But that would mean admitting that they’ve generated significant revenue from effectively exploiting their drivers. So the truth is, Uber benefits from maintaining this status quo. Uber is currently reported to be making $10 billion in revenue per year - and that money has to come from someone.
Just don’t let that someone be you.

Der japanische Videospielentwickler "Square Enix" schenkte Nintendos beliebtem Klempner Mario im Jahr 1996 mit dem Spiel "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars" für das SNES das erste RPG-Abenteuer. Ab der Jahrtausendwende übernahm das Entwicklerstudio "Intelligent Systems" mit der bis heute bestehenden und beliebten "Paper Mario"-Reihe dafür die Verantwortung. Das erste Paper Mario erschien noch für das N64, der beinahe perfekte Ableger "Paper Mario: Die Legende vom Äonentor" 2004 für den unterschätzten Nintendo Gamecube, "Super Paper Mario" für die äußerst erfolgreiche Nintendo Wii und mit "Paper Mario Sticker Star" unternahm die Reihe im Jahr 2001 sogar einen Ausflug auf den Handheld Nintendo 3DS. Dabei wurden Handheld-Spieler doch längst versorgt! Das "Mario & Luigi"-Franchise, entwickelt von "AlphaDream", brachte 2003 "Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga" für den GBA heraus. Auch diese Spielreihe besteht bis heute und erschien neben dem GBA mit neuen Ablegern für den Nintendo DS und 3DS.
Paper Mario begeistert auf dem N64 und in beinahe perfekter Inszenierung auf dem Gamecube mit einer interessanten Story, individuell gestalteten Charakteren, besonderem Papier-Look, ausgefallenen Partnern, kniffligen Rätseln und spannenden, rundenbasierten Kämpfen. In Super Paper Mario für Wii gab es die ersten Veränderungen. Das Spiel war halb Jump'n'Run, halb RPG, kam mit 2D & 3D-Welten im Wechsel daher und strich die rundenbasierten Kämpfe. In Paper Mario Sticker Star für 3DS waren diese zwar wieder auf dem Plan, jedoch in veränderter Form. Sticker waren nun zum angreifen vonnöten und konnten vom Spieler auf dem Touchscreen ausgewählt werden. Desweiteren warf man alles andere über Bord, inklusive Story und Partner.
Obwohl dieser Trend von den Hardcore Fans stark kritisiert wurde, geht der neueste Ableger "Paper Mario Color Splash", welcher am 07.10.2016 in Europa für die Nintendo Wii U erscheint, in eine ähnliche Richtung wie Sticker Star, diesmal mit Kampfkarten statt Sticker und umgesetzter Kritik aus dem Vorgänger. Color Splash sollte also trotz Unmut der Fans ein Sticker Star 2.0 werden. Angeblich um sich von der Mario & Luigi Reihe abzuheben. Das Game wurde sogar erstmals als "Action-Adventure" statt als "RPG" beworben. Man hat versucht den Kämpfen nun mit den Papphammern, die den Tank von Marios Farbhammer erweitern einen Sinn zu geben, die Papier-Grafik perfektioniert, einen guten, orchestralischen Soundtrack eingespielt und erneut humorvolle Dialoge geschrieben. Eingefleischte Fans wie ich sind zwar nach wie vor der Meinung, dass die Paper Mario Reihe nun "tot" ist, aber als einer der wenigen von ihnen, fand ich Sticker Star "als Spiel" und nicht "als Paper Mario" eigentlich ganz gut. Ich erwarte mit Paper Mario: Color Splash" also genau das gleiche wie in Paper Mario Sticker Star, nur in verbesserter Form.

✒ ALLGEMEINE INFORMATIONEN ZUM SPIEL:
Der japanische Videospielentwickler "Square Enix" schenkte Nintendos beliebtem Klempner Mario im Jahr 1996 mit dem Spiel "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars" für das SNES das erste RPG-Abenteuer. Ab der Jahrtausendwende übernahm das Entwicklerstudio "Intelligent Systems" mit der bis heute bestehenden und beliebten "Paper Mario"-Reihe dafür die Verantwortung. Das erste Paper Mario erschien noch für das N64, der beinahe perfekte Ableger "Paper Mario: Die Legende vom Äonentor" 2004 für den unterschätzten Nintendo Gamecube, "Super Paper Mario" für die äußerst erfolgreiche Nintendo Wii und mit "Paper Mario Sticker Star" unternahm die Reihe im Jahr 2001 sogar einen Ausflug auf den Handheld Nintendo 3DS. Dabei wurden Handheld-Spieler doch längst versorgt! Das "Mario & Luigi"-Franchise, entwickelt von "AlphaDream", brachte 2003 "Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga" für den GBA heraus. Auch diese Spielreihe besteht bis heute und erschien neben dem GBA mit neuen Ablegern für den Nintendo DS und 3DS.
Paper Mario begeistert auf dem N64 und in beinahe perfekter Inszenierung auf dem Gamecube mit einer interessanten Story, individuell gestalteten Charakteren, besonderem Papier-Look, ausgefallenen Partnern, kniffligen Rätseln und spannenden, rundenbasierten Kämpfen. In Super Paper Mario für Wii gab es die ersten Veränderungen. Das Spiel war halb Jump'n'Run, halb RPG, kam mit 2D & 3D-Welten im Wechsel daher und strich die rundenbasierten Kämpfe. In Paper Mario Sticker Star für 3DS waren diese zwar wieder auf dem Plan, jedoch in veränderter Form. Sticker waren nun zum angreifen vonnöten und konnten vom Spieler auf dem Touchscreen ausgewählt werden. Desweiteren warf man alles andere über Bord, inklusive Story und Partner.
Obwohl dieser Trend von den Hardcore Fans stark kritisiert wurde, geht der neueste Ableger "Paper Mario Color Splash", welcher am 07.10.2016 in Europa für die Nintendo Wii U erscheint, in eine ähnliche Richtung wie Sticker Star, diesmal mit Kampfkarten statt Sticker und umgesetzter Kritik aus dem Vorgänger. Color Splash sollte also trotz Unmut der Fans ein Sticker Star 2.0 werden. Angeblich um sich von der Mario & Luigi Reihe abzuheben. Das Game wurde sogar erstmals als "Action-Adventure" statt als "RPG" beworben. Man hat versucht den Kämpfen nun mit den Papphammern, die den Tank von Marios Farbhammer erweitern einen Sinn zu geben, die Papier-Grafik perfektioniert, einen guten, orchestralischen Soundtrack eingespielt und erneut humorvolle Dialoge geschrieben. Eingefleischte Fans wie ich sind zwar nach wie vor der Meinung, dass die Paper Mario Reihe nun "tot" ist, aber als einer der wenigen von ihnen, fand ich Sticker Star "als Spiel" und nicht "als Paper Mario" eigentlich ganz gut. Ich erwarte mit Paper Mario: Color Splash" also genau das gleiche wie in Paper Mario Sticker Star, nur in verbesserter Form.

Der Titel ist gleichzeitig der Nachname des MCs deutsch-marokkanischer Abstammung - für die Albumproduktion ist Reen das erste Mal ins Land seiner Vorfahren gereist. Dort lernte er auch den marokkanischen Teil seiner Familie kennen. Über all das sprachen wir im Interview. Außerdem ging es um Generationenkonflikte, Trap, Freestyle-Rap und vieles mehr.
