Aspire is a series of personal computers by Acer Inc. aimed at the casual household user or for small business use. The Aspire series covers both desktop computers and laptops. Acer developed the series to range from essentials to high performance.
The Aspire series was first brought to the market in 1999 when the Aspire 1151 was introduced and featured a 200 MHz Intel Pentium. The Aspire series then replaced the AcerPower series in 2002 and became one of Acer's main series.
Acer Aspire Switch is a series of two-in-one tablet computers running Windows 8, with a tablet and detachable keyboard sold together.
Acer Aspire Switch 10 was announced in April 2014. It is a 10.1-inch two-in-one, with a 1366×768 resolution and Intel Atom Z3745 processor. A second-generation Acer Aspire Switch 10 was then launched in October 2014. It was given a different resolution of 1280×800, and a different Intel Atom Z3735F processor.
Acer Aspire Switch 11 was announced in September 2014, as a larger 11.6-inch version, that was planned for release in November. There are two models of the Acer Aspire Switch 11: The Acer Aspire Switch 11 SW5-111 with an Intel Atom Z3735 processor, 2 GB RAM, and 1366×768 resolution, and the Acer Aspire Switch 11 SW5-171 with an Intel Core i3 processor, 4 GB RAM, and 1920×1080 resolution.

Acer's attempts at building an ultrabook have often suffered from mediocre design and bad battery life. Acer’s all new Aspire S 13 is a major improvement sporting specs like a Core i5 dual-core processor, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB solid state drive, and a 1080p display. And it comes in at an affordable $750. Every S 13 comes with a 1080p matte panel that looks sharp. The lower chassis is black brushed aluminum metal, but the upper half is matte black plastic. Not the best design. Lisa Gade reviews the Acer Aspire R13, a 13.3” 2-in-1 Windows 8.1 convertible Ultrabook-tablet. The R13 is one of the few laptop style convertibles that works with a digital pen (Synaptics technology, sold separately). It has Acer’s Ezel hinge that allows for use in many positions, and the display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The 3.3 lb. R13 is available in two configurations: $999 with a 1080p IPS display, Intel Core i5 processor, 8 gigs RAM and a 256 gig SSD in RAID 0, and the $1,499 Microsoft Signature edition with a 2560 x 1440 IPS display, Intel Core i7 CPU, 8 gigs of RAM and a 512 gig SSD in RAID0. All models have dual band Intel WiFi 7265 AC with Bluetooth 4.0 and an EL backlit keyboard.

Lisa Gade reviews the affordable Acer Aspire Switch 11, a 2-in-1 Windows 8.1 convertible with an 11.6” 1080p IPS touch screen, optional Synaptics pen and a Core i3 processor. The Switch 11 is the evolution of the popular Switch 10, and we look at the model with an Intel Core i3 Y series Intel Haswell CPU, 4 gigs of RAM and a 128 gig SSD that sells for $499 to $599. There’s an Intel Atom version for $100 less. The Switch 11 is the affordable alternative to the MS Surface Pro 3, and it boasts a keyboard dock that’s more rigid and conventional. The tablet weighs 1.87 lbs. (3.42 lbs. with keyboard attached) and it’s fanless for silent operation. You can use it as a laptop, a tablet, in tent mode or presentation mode like a Lenovo Yoga, but unlike the Yoga laptop series, the keyboard detaches. ...
